And credit for this goes to Hero MotoCorp that has done everything right from conceptualisation, designing to production in less than 4 years. It’s priced at Rs 2.29 lacs (ex-showroom)

If people hate on this then it's for Harley going back to it's roots. I've always loved simple single cylinder bikes. I'd like to see it with a single 600cc jug because this engine is half a 883 which is compatible with 1200. Is this fuel injected or carbureted?

Rs. 3,67,447/- on road in Pune for top model that is X 440 S. Test ride liya kal and it is a great bike in this segment. Exhaust dint sound like Harley but it is a single cylinder and still sounds good.
I was waiting in my car when i heard this sound, it was a head turner for me, i suddenly start looking for the bike as it was being parked next to mu car. Just wanna say real life sound is amazing and it sounds like screaming eagle

The Harley Davison X440 will be manufactured at Hero's Neemrana plant. It will be retailed through the existing Harley Davidson showroom in India along with a number of premium Hero dealers that will be coming up over the next few months. Hero will sell and services.. but the design and build is by HD.

Putting mic into exhaust air flow is not a good idea, it can resulted unwanted windy sound.

What is the mileage?
People comparing paper specs like power with Speed 400, do you know how much power, HD Iron 883 Roadster makes ? 50 hp and 70 Nm! HD Fatboy (1800cc) makes? 100 hp and 153 Nm torque while a 1000 cc Yamaha R1 or BMW S1000 RR make close to 200 hp. Why will any one buy any HD model if we go by your logic of comparing power figures? Because, these are cruisers purpose built for low end torque and stress free engines, low compression ratio for long engine life, and for relaxed riding with oodles of torque under 2000-3000 rpm like RE. They are not sport bikes like KTM or Triumph that need to be revved crazy to 9000 rpm to generate power. People who like speed can go for Speed 400 and those who like relaxed cruising can go X440. X440 is a modern version of RE Classic 500 (styling is polarising ofcourse), while Speed 400 is like a dominar 400 or Duke 390. Comparing them and saying one or better than other is like saying an apple is better than an orange. Both have their own set of buyers. Advise people to go out of their homes, test ride both and decide which riding style suits you than comparing specs on internet.
