I wonder could you take a second print directly from the surface when you move your main one away? Some of those shapes and colours looked really interesting.
Hi Leigh-Ann yes you certainly could ! That is also a fun time to try out different types of paper with those ghost type prints . Have fun :)
Hi do you ever mount the rice paper on a board? I’d so how? Also I only have one griddle pan I like the idea of making other pictures, but it would be kind of hard really right to use a small heater board on your griddle pan. What other paper can you use? Tissue ? Thanks

I am new to encaustic. After seeing bits of the process several years ago, I was enamored. My one question for today is this: How sturdy is the finish? What I mean is that if someone was to touch it (as people who aren't artists like to do!), will the surface be undamaged? Will fingernails scratch it? I have worked in so many different mediums and the finish of some tends to cause me to abandon the medium (such as pastels). I will be watching every single video of yours and any others I can find - any suggestions as to other encaustic artists we can learn from as well? Thank you! Lovely piece today :-)

Hi I want to make my own medium but damar resin not common my country and its so expensive. Can I use pine resin except damar resin? or any alternative to damar resin?
Shari I bought white bees wax but it doesn't have damar resign in it, which I think I need. I tried to add the resign but it just clumped up. Can you help me? Please
