This 2007 bus is different in many ways from the 2nd version Enviro 400 that replaced it in late 2009!
The feel of the bus is similar to buses of old and as the saying goes 'they don't make things like they used to'.

I love E400's, the ones I get to school have lovely seats - bearing in mind this is the Isle of Wight
E400s are my favourite bus type of all time especially the pre 2011 ones can do loads of thrash and kickdown they can get to 50mph really fast

The first Enviro 400 was a 55 plate demonstrator that went to Stagecoach London Anton that replaced the Trident blown up in 2005 terrorist attacks. Enviro 400 is also my favourite bus as a passenger because it has the jump seats on the nearside.

DoubleDeckerAnton no bother Mate but it wasn’t till 2006 that production started at Falkirk Scotland 🏴. Stagecoach moved three 56 plate ones to Glenrothes from Manchester when they were only abt 2 to 3 years old. But they moved not long after. Think they might be up North in Aberdeen or Inverness area. Not sure Mate. Fleetnumbers were 19047 & 19052 19057 Think they might be Back operating in Fife but from another depot either Aberhill or Dunfermline Anton.
Ross McGarrie - Yep the replacement bus was called the Spirit of London but in FACT the 2005 "attack" was NOTHING to do with "terrorists". Google Paisley Expressions and watch the video 7/7 Ripple Effect on there and you will get your eyes opened to how much our government/political parties LIES to us and if you watch the video interviews of Dr Judy Wood on there you will realise it even more - she took the US Government and over 20 US Companies all the way up to the Supreme Court for putting out LIES with regard to 9/11 and after that you will get your eyes opened as to how much the mainstream media LIES to you about everything as well - of course they were totally SILENT all the time that her court cases were going on and are still silent today. If you read the Jesus, Hitler and Wizard of Oz post on there just now you will see what the agenda is behind all of this totally FAKE terrorism.

Hello Anton. What we don't see in the video is that this model looks also very friendly from the outside. It is in many ways a very special model. And just like the old routemaster it greets her passengers every morning with that very friendly smile. Small important details do really matter. Bus-architects can make bus-experience a happy experience.

Those backdoors close lovely.
Pet hate is slow closing doors as you can't take power until they're fully closed and miss a gap in the traffic
the king ...yes so true! I like buses that are quick in closing doors...makes all the difference with 'keeping time'.

Anton is this a pre-recorded video? I dont know if you noticed but TFL have taken the "please hold on..." Announcements of all buses for 3 weeks now. If that's not the case then the bus you're driving currently still has the announcement on it surprisingly 🤷🏾♂

The best thing about enviros are the old exits doors which are soooooo much better than breaking glass soft ones on a modern enviro 400s AND modern 200s
I've been on those on the 185. Always avoid those seats in the saloon deck. Bad enough I got on a slighly not so older one on the 185 from Lewisham to Dulwich yesterday (as I missed the P4) and sat at the twin seats with very little padding.
I love the old e400s compared to the ones in my city it has the nostalgia from when i was a child

I like these videos anton some of the new buses make me feel seasick when the gos around the corners I like the old 90s buses in Wales stagecoach have charge points but I leave in London but I like using the buses all over the UK good work keep the up the good work
Rodney Fisher . Thanks Rodney....yes the new hybrid buses are quite powerful and I like to drive all kinds of buses but these older buses are very good at responding to driver input! ☺
Was driving one the other week. It was lovely and smooth and such a refreshing change from the usual WVLs. The first few minutes of driving was interesting, as the indicator stalk is on the right. Lol.
We have 2007 Enviro 400's in Ireland (Dublin Bus). Great buses 👍. Seating arrangements are quite similar to your bus except ours don't have centre doors and the wheelchair space is on the left side just after where the middle doors on your buses would be
Arriva North East's 57 reg plates are machines but suffering from poor maintenance but I love them especially when the master is switched on "Fire system pressure okay!"

Very good choice Anton each bus is unique in terms of design and this is one of my favourite kinds the engine and the seats are amazing very good choice of best bus this is a beast, good cab interior as well

0:41 yeah i agree buses in the same fleet classes with differences over the months and years of them being made makes them interesting to me
The iBus display on the upper deck is mounted off to the right because it wouldn't fit inside the space where the usual "Stopping" sign is. However it does fit in that space on the Gemini, even though that body is 5 years older from 2001.
The Y reg President bodied Volvos had very quick doors. They take literally about a second, maybe a second and a half to open and close. There are some in the commercial fleet, and a couple in the training fleet.

These first versions are Dennis Trident II Enviro 400's, so it has the same engine as the ALX400's the version 2 of the E400's are ADL E40D enviro 400's :-)

DoubleDeckerAnton Scania K230UB has a back window And it’s designed for heavy duty work plus the scania N230UD don’t have back windows which is against TFL spec actually but having no rear window with first and stagecoach is ok

Ive only been on the east yorkshire ones ive seen the london enviro's when i visit tho' and u r at 29.8k subs 200 more to reach 30k
We have two 56 plates in Manchester and they are amazing
The newer ones, the 60 plate onwards are more comfortable at the downstairs back.

As a driver of 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen enviro 4's. I can confirm the 1st gen are best to drive. 2nd are a jerky bag of bones, and 3rd are just as jerky, slightly better with voiths.

My favorite bus is Enviro 500 mmc but I drive Volvo B9TL 11.3m mostly recently.

I like the 2013/14 model enviro 400 they are quite cozy and have verry cozy back seats downstairs. But i like the 2007 model too.
Up here in North Staffordshire First Potteries still use 2004 plate Wright bodied buses, 2007 is new lol!
Some enviro 400s have 4 seats near the wheelchair area or 2 seats but I've never seen a enviro 400 with 3 seats near the wheelchair area, also the handle on the staircase is seen on most enviro 400s including modern day ones, the back door has two emergancy door buttons in a flap instead of one, upper deck windows may be the enviro 400MMC shaped ones instead of modern day enviro 400s with a curved square shaped window and
The older buses just look much nicer.

Yeah you're right, I agree with you. Just because a bus is 11 years old back from 2007, dosen't mean it is all rusty and dirty like you exampled the latest 2010 london bus. But the enviro 2010 you said was rusty not filthy.

I’m not too sure but I think that this is one of MB’s 07 plates now, it seems like E58 and I can kinda recognise it by the door alarm if I’m correct lol... if it is actually E58 then it seems like they fixed the doors when they were refurbishing it as they don’t close that quickly anymore
I think that you should consider with TFL to launch an awareness campaign for people inorder to improve the sanitation in London's transport system and teach commuters the art of respect to public property. With the new campaign, people will learn about the disrespectfulness in littering buses.

Yes i Understand Mr Anton But I prefer Single Door Buses Due to it being easy for the driver to look at the one door instead of the two and the auto button Ramps Brake Easy From Prier Knowing From My Father Being a Bus Driver and Cyclists :( :( :(

I drive them... solid no, they struggle on even the slightest hills, brakes are jerky due to the regenerative braking and the build quality is no good because I notice trim pieces are always falling off in the cab and passenger compartment lol

In Leicester, First had 35 ex-London 2008 Dennis Trident 2s but they’ve replaced them with StreetDecks. Arriva only have the awful facelift of the mk.1, the 2014 model. Thankfully, it was made up for with 35 MMCs, joint by 11 Sapphire variants a year later, which are unfortunately leaving after just 6 months.
My favourite bus is the DAF/VDL DB250, they’re probably the best sounding buses I know of. Once upon a time we had 44 on the East Lancs Lowlander body from 2001-02 with a further 32 Pulsar Geminis from 2006, then we got a few ALX400s transferred from London during 2011-2013. Sadly, only the Geminis remain.
I love Enviro 200’s before 2011. They are so nice and have a rough distinct engine. Stagecoach stockport had loads of 2009 enviro 200’s but sadly half went and the other went in reserve. The most stupid desicion Stockport did was buy 5 Enviro 200 MMC’s which means now their low on buses. Stockport has got loads of 2008 Enviro 400’s and all of the seats are worn and rough and then we have 2009 MAN engines enviro 400’s.
Liftboy 2004 There are 2 08 plate E200 buses on loan at Ashton depot from Middleton. Ashton have scraped their optare solos and the MAN ALX 300 buses are going to be replaced with E200 MMC next year
Manchester Bus Journeys 22397 got scrapped and 22398 and above will be training buses. Look out for 36106-36113. 36105 and below have the better engines. The 2008 Enviro 200’s are the mini ones which have the nice engine but I thought Ashton only have 2011 ones.
Manchester Bus Journeys you got no busses from Middleton to Ashton. It must have just been a one day thing. 36074 is in reserve and you might have got that but I checked stagecoaches fleet list(that updates all the time) and the enviros from Middleton are still there.youve also got two solos left 47618 and 47619.
Liftboy 2004 We've had 36105 all week at Ashton. Video up on my channel soon of it on 342 (Ashton Route). It must be on loan as we had 2 solos that have disappeared so we must be low on buses in Ashton lol
Manchester Bus Journeys Stockport are low on buses because they thought it was clever to get rid of 20 Enviro 200’s for 5 Enviro 200 mmc’s for one route. And the 20 Enviro 200’s were the really nice 2009 ones.
Hello Anton... maybe you have spoke about this before but im not sure... do you notice that the turning circle of the new Dennis busses is nowhere near as good as the older Dennis busses? it means that the new ones are more likely to get stuck in tight turns and so on =/..

I've only driven the enviro 400h and the braking and acceleration seems alright to me. What are the diesel versions like compared to the hybrids?

There is a seat behind the cab because the fuel tank is located underneath the bus and these Enviro 400s were new to metroline in late 2005 and to GAL in 2006

No it's never been on the 196 as that's not at the Camberwell Garage. 196 uses Eu4 Voith Enviro400s which are not as good, sadly. Thrashy but worn out.

Yep the 196 has mostly 2006 Enviro400s plus the odd PVL or E40H.

Anton the Busses in Blackpool they autoturn off engine when they get to a stop when picking up. bus driver as to start buses every time after pick up from stop. but blackpool busses are so clean

LX06 and LX56 are the only ones to have the ibus on the pole the rest LX07 onwards have it on where the stopping signs are

Ant, today I was on a bus and there was a fella being abusive and not letting others sit next to him, do you think if this was reported to the bus driver she would have done anything, personally if this occurred on a bus that you were driving what would you do if such a thing happened?
