Today's feeding video will feature a handful of tarantulas that have refused food for months, till over a year. We're going to be attempting to offer food and see if they'll take.

@@rebel4466a cold period? Like keep them in a cooler room for a month or something? My G. pulchripes hasn't eaten in a yr. He's an adult but not mature yet. I honestly don't even see him drink, but his rump is fat 😂 ( not premolt fat)

How crazy I have an old male Chilobrachys Vietnam blue who hasn't ate in like 9 months, and he ate super worm last night when I tried almost cried was so happy. So I can't believe you just had a feeding video I can relate to so easily. Love your videos keep up the hard work.

Crazy to think that some can go a year without eating , even two years! When I found that out around the time I started getting into tarantulas and scorpions I didn't believe it at first

One I learned after a long period of not eating or so fasting eat light and don't over eat. Same goes for animal or all creatures. 😊

My rose hair went off food for about 8 months and starred earing regularly for a couple months before molting for the first time in over 5 years. I'm so happy. She can only fit rwo crickets in her mouth though so I tend to feed the reas to my crested gecko

I've seen over a year on one G porteri I think it was. I don't remember if I worried or not, but I sure wasted a lot of crickets lol. That was back in the 90's where all they told you was get a heat rock, and throw in a few crickets every week or 2.

Avics should eat. Do you have appropriately sized food? Very shy little creatures. Brachypelma has diet periods.

Are you positive that is a rose hair that looks just like my costarican stripped knee or are they similar to the rose hair vice versa?
They're not related very closely, but they look somewhat similar.

A hungry spider isn't picky. They're just selective when there isn't a real need for food.
