I was there that final day....I was there for many games..... and concerts.... and Gordie's memorial......... I drive by now and see the empty land and wonder how it seems so small yet still so huge in my heart! Little Ceasars is very cool! But I wonder... without Mr I ever getting to see it.... will the Wings fight back? Stevie gives me hope.... but that final game still sits in my soul. I laughed and cheered and cried..... Love Ya Joe! You gave is AMAZING moments with Amazing Players never to be repeated!
As a Leaf fan I can sympathize. A lot of people don't realise that Maple Leaf Gardens is so Iconic the Leafs themselves feared leaving the building and selling it so much they fought many attempts to purchase the building until they could put a legal condition that it never be used as a hockey venue ever again. It's probably the most Iconic building in hockey and the site of the very first all-star game in hockey history. Many of us Leaf fans cried when they removed the seating. It still stands and is owned and cared for by Weston's bread via Loblaws. There's even still a rink complete with seating in the building though it's never used that I'm aware of.
the feeling when you move from your childhood home rip Joe Louis arena I was there in kindergarten for pocahontas on ice I remember looking at the rafters seeing the names the banners I was there for the captains 1500 game against the Oilers he got the first goal I remember Chelly and Homer the last game I was at Chelly got the game winning goal Darren McCarty was the coolest guy I've met but if I had the chance to tell Yzerman about how I was on the street playing hockey with his number on...Hockey is all I know rip Mr.I and Mr.Hockey
Now that the Joe is just about gone with little left of it standing we can see that it’s just it the same. There will never be another building with the unique smell and the atmosphere that the Joe had. How as we age things change. Thanks 🙏🏻 Joe. We will keep all the memories in our heart.
You prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my login password. I would love any help you can offer me!
Joe Louis Arena was so incredible that even the singer Madonna and the rapper Eminem said that the favorite one concert they ever did in their lives was the first concert they did when they came back home to Michigan and played at Joe Louis Arena. Madonna cried uncontrollably after that first concert there backstage because she was performing for the first time on front of her people in her birth state of Michigan and she dreamt as a kid of one day performing in the Joe Louis Arena.
A shoutout to the Wings, FSD, and every other station that captured awsome footage of this night. I'm happy that I'm lucky enough to have this moment I expierenced preserved for years to come. I'll definitely be wathing over and over.
an arena named after a world famous boxer to now having an arena named after a damn pizza. im sorry but everyone knows little Caesars pizza is cardboard garbage and is only consumed due to its price point.
Olympia stadium the little red barn wow memories 😊❤

New Wings are gearing up to smoke...Let's Go Red Wings !
We miss joe louis
I think they should’ve had the All-Star game there One last time
So much charm and mediocrity, in a good way, compared to newly-built arenas
They should be a little ashamed that they're tearing down the arena

OK who doesn’t have a UA-cam channel?
Greatest memory of Joe Louis Arena:
When Patrick Roy kicked the shite out of Mike Vernon. Good times.
