Nice, was just looking for another video on the update. Tamara did a video on it a few hours ago and the face exposure looked much better in her examples too. It was always something I felt dji was lacking when compared to GoPro, so very nice to see them improve this
I saw the same video and you can see the difference in the video clip of the white painted brick wall, the details are a bit more defined.

@@topalecom yes i have see the video and the details are more defined but at the video above i dont see difference at the details except the better exposure of the face....maybe a new video test will be needed to see if there are difference...

I updated my two osmo action yesterday and before I see any video on this topic, I see the images and I though that something was changed..... face exposure against a bright sky is now much mbetter. Blue in the skies are more blue and in general it is better "image" today. To me is signicantly better. Better dynamic range "sensation". It is saving better the highligts while raising the shadows without loosing contrast. Well done dji.
Hello. Yes that's what I noticed as well. Normal colours also look beter exposed. They did this to the original Osmo Action after it released and it made that camera much better.

Hello. D-log M but i think the big change is with normal colours. I'm making another video just with normal colours and there seem to be an obvious improvement. Stay turned.
@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens I think the improvement is in normal color and I don’t know if there is a change in low light enhancement in the auto mode. It would be good to test that

I love your videos, especially those related to the DJI Osmo Action 4. Thank you for your great work. By the way, after the update I notice it a little slower in general. Especially when you start recording with the camera off in snapshot. Before it seemed like I was flying, especially coming from the GoPros I used before 😅. It may be my perception, but I notice the camera a little slower.

Could you please check if there is the difference between 16:9 and 4:3 regarding to "improvement"? I assume the image quality "upgrade" is just different local tone mapping method (as can be seen in Tamara's video) in normal color profile, with enhanced clearity, the same way gopro does. While tonemapping is disabled in DLOG, the enhanced detail can be archieved if you add +50 midtone detail in post to DLOG-M.

nice video but as you do no have to camera listen what you can do to test it record a clip 30fps and the 60fps as the update on image is until 30fps also if you see any diffrent try also at night

When you use a -1 noise reduction is that actually reducing the noise in the footage as in reducing noise or is it taking away 1 from the cameras noise reduction like actually letting noise in because your are taking away 1 from the cameras default noise reduction?
Hello. Noise reduction is a post processing effect that smoothes the video in order to reduce noise. The intensity is controled with these values. It's best to use an external noise reduction like in Davinci Resolve Studio for instance because it does a better job. In this case you should set the noise reduction to -2.

when i set the noise reduction at -2(and sharpness at -2 always)i have found that the black areas have very noise(grain).When i set the noise reduction at 0 then the noise is gone.i try that at sunny day with 2,7k 25fps-50shutter and 50fps-100shutter ,d-log,standard d-warp fov(using nd filters).do you think that the camera has problem or i must change the settings?thanks
@@thanos1978- At least on the DJI Mini 3 Pro you need to reduce both sharpening and noise reduction to -2 to get a clean image. Much cleaner in shadows than in standard settings (0/0) even.

hi again i just take some vides me in shadow and some cloud and sun behind the cloud and i test d log m vs new firmware 25fps image on normal no pro mode and the hdr is much better on normal mode can you test it and if you have good result with d log m include how you color grade and make the sky as good as the normal (details is little bit better on d log m but not the hdr)

Video really should have focused on the Auto mode more to show the update. Custom settings can distort the update.

Hello. You mean H.264 and HEVC ;). HEVC is a more efficient video codec that makes smaller files and has better video quality. It has a better pixel combining algorithm that takes into account the pixel change from frame to frame...

If you are not standing next to the camera you need an external microphone. I use mine on a motorcycle. I mount the camera on the bike and the microphone in my helmet. The previous DJI setup required removing the waterproof cover from the USB port. The Mic 2 requires no adapter and nothing plugged in. This is the biggest improvement in motovlogging since the invention of the action camera.

The difference is not noticeable. It would have been great if they had updated HDR and low-light for auto settings.

You're just pixel peeping for resolution of course there wont be difference. What you have to check is micro contrast and such

All the video samples look horrible. Getting better (less oversharpened) video from my old Android phone even.

Despite the fact that the app is the worst, I have a Samsung galaxy S24 and I can't connect to DJI A4 in any way, but via iPad there is no problem

Same, can't use a Samsung S23 ultra but a Samsung S8 Tab ultra is fine, this is a common thing and pathetic of DJI not to fix it.
Try turning off phone data and only leaving on Bluetooth and WiFi.
I have to do this if trying to transfer files, but connecting is fine. (Pixel phone).
