Hope you guys enjoy this one. Last Bible III was a huge surprise to me - it's a massive game, and genuinely a bittersweet conclusion to the trilogy. I know it's a long video, but I had a lot of fun doing this series. Gonna move on to highly requested games next - likely SMT 2 coming sooner rather than later.
Ciel: "I am the reincarnation of heroes past, come to enact their grudge." Rag: "El, right?" Ciel: "No. This is for the gem farming, you son of a bitch!"
*Rag:* So you're here to get this rock back, eh? *Ciel:* (equips several Magatama named Nakajima and Hideto) *Rag:* W-Wait, that's illegal. *Ciel:* (equips Hi-No-Kagutsuchi) *Rag:* W-What are you doing!?! *Ciel:* (Smirk status) *Rag: WHY IS EVIL INCARNATE PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND!?!*
Yeah, you could actually save Roy in the following way: You need to enter the village when there is a full moon on the 14th day. Go to the weapon shop, and speak to the one of the werewolves. After giving Mezuki and Gozuki the wine, Rudy re-joins the group. Outside the weapon shop, choose yes to Roy's question, and he will become a nakama (monster friend). After that, go thru the north gate, and go up the mountain.
Huh, so there are multiple ways to do it? The captured elf girl passed me a letter through the bars of her cell, the guards asked me if she did, I boldly lied, they bought it. Got the captain's letter too, got to Roy's place on a full moon, he read both messages: but the elf's revealed the trick the solider had planned, so he ultimately made it out alive. You also get wine, but actually have to fight Mezuki and Gozuki to save Rudy. Saving Roy is worth it, I kept him for a very long time actually. He must have been Level 30 by the time I disposed of him. I'm sad Marsh didn't show it off, but Rudy is forced to work at the Weapon Shop while being held hostage... but since he's just a kid, he can't handle math yet, and sells things for very cheap (with a couple of funny comments from guards). You even get a freebie, IIRC.
about Jonathan's ice attack at 50:38 : in Japanese you can describe boring or corny jokes as being 寒い, which is the same adjective you would use to describe a cold chill. It's probably why you see characters shivering with a leaf blowing by in animes when something lame happens. It completely doesnt land in english though 💀🌨️
Wow, that makes so much sense, thanks for opening my eyes up to that. It's funny cuz it's also kinda deadpan or crickets chirping, so even if you don't get the meaning, you get the feeling.
In Italian we have something similar since stupid unsensical jokes are referred as "freddure" which means roughly translates to "cold stuff" as in "undesired things".
I love how Rag is such a recurring MegaTen character that he managed to survive all the way till Nocturne of all games. I'm pretty sure he's somehow an ascended being like Stephen or the Minister considering that he's somehow been literally everywhere in the MegaTen multiverse.
@@jackmesrel4933 And in SMT4 we got the Ashura-Kai shop owner that's just as much of an a-hole personality-wise. "Oh...a Hunter..." "Make sure you bring more Macca next time..."
No one was really expecting a story that begins with the child protagonist going to magic school and having fun dungeon excursions with his friends, to end with that same child being murdered and going to hell. This is what you might call a "Wild Ride".
To be fair, considering Akemi's initial role as the villain protagonist of the original Megami Tensei, yes, his Kubrick stare can look pretty unnerving.
1:39:01 I could FEEL the vengeful bloodlust rising slowly here. Playing "To Become God's Enemy" as the background for Rag's long, long, LONG overdue bossfight was glorious, and really the only fitting choice. This really is the best game of all time.
I really enjoyed your mom and dad being party members! It's a nice change of pace and it's really touching that Illia sticks with Glen through thick and thin! Them getting killed off screen was a bummer, but the turn the story takes not long after really brought it back around lol. Beep Boop Trio forever!
"They immediately accuse of us of murdering their children! Slow down, I might have a concussion or something, you cant do this to me!" Marsh, you made my crappy night so much better with that line alone. The delivery is just perfect. It just paints this mental picture of the protag stumbling out of the pod, bleeding from the forehead after being slammed headfirst into the metaphorical steering wheel and just stammering out a dazed "Ay wha Dah fuuUhUcK?"
This'll be buried in the sea of comments but seriously, thanks for everything you do with this channel and SMT as a whole, Marsh. i've been in a pretty shitty spot of life for longer than I'd like to admit, but your videos have genuinely reminded me why SMT as a whole is so special to me and why the series is so weird but at the same time unlike any other RPG series. You even helped push me into trying to make my own videos (unrelated to SMT, that is). Whatever the case, these videos are god tier SMT content and I can't wait to see more in general. Even if it means I'm now tempted to play Last Bible myself and curse my health for it.
I know how you feel, I too am loathe to admit how long my life has been in disarray. Well glad that I'm not the only one that finds some escape in these videos, we are truly blessed to have Marsh around, his output is one-of-a-kind. Hopefully things will starting looking up for us both, until then we at least have this SMT content to enjoy. Take care and best of luck to you my friend.
I hear you man, in the past year and a half I've gotten divorced, overdosed, and ended up having to temporarily live with my mother. Just a few short years prior I had a nice place in a great part of a big city. People were actually proud of me, now they're mostly just making sure I'm not dead yet. There is something about these videos that makes me feel comfortable in a way I haven't in a very long time, perhaps not since my grandparents bought me the American version of Last Bible (Revelations: Demon Slayer) on vacation at a flea market when I was in middle school. This is a late ass comment, but I know how much it can help to hear from even a random stranger that you're not alone in this nonsense. Hang in there homie we got this shit 💪😤
@@Just.Kidding i don’t know if they will ever remake the damn thing since they made Engage giving more eyes to FE4 and 5. Also it’s funny they mentioned Saias in there. Seriously, wish they kept his 10 stars instead of cutting him down twice.
I'm so happy for you Marsh You're one of the best MegaTen YTbers and now you even have a sponsors. Hope that will make you upload videos so frequently. Btw thanks for still letting me use your videos to continue making my own content, I really appreciate it!
This is probably the most I've anticipated a UA-cam video before and it was so worth the wait. Just quit my job the other day and I'll tell you your videos had been playing through one earbud basically every shift for months. Thanks for continuing to cover weird and fascinating Megami Tensei content and for being among my favorite content creators on UA-cam. Can't wait for whatever's to come!
Last Bible 3 is one of the best JRPG stories in general. Seriously one of the best travels I've had in a JRPG game, so many things happening that you just remain hooked until you see the cities in the Moon and realize that finally the age of peace is here.
This is the only The Last Bible video I've even watched, having randomly stumbled into learning of the series mere existence via a stray comment about musical similarities to one track in this game, on an ost video of an entirely unrelated indie game's music track. But this video was so absolutely amazing, you presented the entirety of the story in such a wonderful way, and rekindled my amazement and awe at the kinds of stories that are able to be told in JRPGs. No wonder these kinds of games were King of all kings in the story department for people who had the time, energy, prowess and capability of acquiring whatever games they could acquire. Shall be going back and watching your other videos on The Last Bible series now.
50:37 I can actually explain this. "Jonathan cracks a joke" being an ice attack is because in Japanese, a really bad joke can be described as being "cold".
Glad you managed to bring this video out. I heard there was a fair bit of techincal issues involved. Thankfully you are a reviewer that is built different and you pulled through. Glad that you enjoyed making this series despite some of the not good parts of it that plagued it at times. Hope to see more from you in the future, both from games in the SMT series and games that aren't like the Peret em Heru one. Now go take a nice break. You've more than earned it.
Very late to watching this, but this honestly is the Earthbound of MegaTen, or what used to be Earthbound, anyways. Seriously, I mean that. It's an obscure, underrated game that was released for the SNES/SFC that has modern technology elements, charming characters, and someone who can create bombs for you cause they're that smart. There's even only a year of difference between their release dates in Japan and if you were to compare the US release date for Earthbound with the release date of Last Bible III; they came out the EXACT same year. Whereas Earthbound has firmly entered Chrono Trigger territory and is by no means obscure or underrated nowadays; the same can't be said for Last Bible III, and honestly MegaTen as a whole, aside from the big Persona in the room. This spiel aside, great video as always, I'm glad you shined a light on this series and I look forward to your reviews of something I was just as shocked to see recovered from the Japanese mobile flip phone hellscape.
1:35:00 I did the negotiation mini game, you get a new beast for completing each wave. You get the 4 Archangels for passing the last 4. Levels 50-60, 100 percent worth doing. (with save states)
I stopped this video at the end of the airship invading town and started playing it. It is REALLY fun. It is pretty easy, but really addictive, and I love how powerful you feel in it so quickly, in a totally natural way. I look forward to finishing the video when I complete the game.
I have no better words to express my enjoyment watching the whole series and hell the amount of throwbacks, design choices, and of course, your delivery was the icing on the cake as aways! I am really excited with the news and that last tip got me more hyped up than ever!!!! Keep up the amazing work, you rock Marsh!
So you are telling me that in those other Last Bible games Nakajima comes back? That’s great! From all the games you made videos on, he is my favorite character, with craziest stuff happening to him all the time. Will be good to see him again, especially if you also add your famous intro from other MegaTen games about 8th floor and Minotaur and such. Oh, last but not least, great video!
My favorite part of your videos is it's kinda like a walkthrough and I can play along. It really is a blast, thanks. Always looking forward to the next video
Marsh: "Both your parents just got killed by a giant space laser! Try not to feel too bad." That sounded suspiciously a lot like what the famous Law Hero says in the beginning of SMT 1. Wait a minute....has Marsh been the real world Law Hero ALL THIS TIME and none of us has noticed! :o
Man, here I thought that the extra time was because this was a painful experience on par with the worst versions of the first two and you needed to take breaks to cry throughout, but hot damn, 2 1/2 hours on this one game!? Thank you, Marsh, both for your hard work and for brightening up the weekend with this.
It can't be coincidence that both Last Bible 3 and Nine have a guy name Baraki, and your friend threatening to use an IED up to send a message. Although Baraki is just a rando boss in LB3. Maybe a Last Bible fan wrote SMT Nine, who knows.
I know i’m old as shit now because I had to look up who bling bling boy was. Great vid as always Marsh, youre truly the GOAT of youtube as far as im concerned
That was so worth it. I know SMT2 might be the next video in the making, but I'm genuinely looking forward to see you covering the mobile Last Bible trilogy if it ever get translated. Heck. Knowing you, you would just play them as it is and borrow a translated script from some obscure forum from the 2000s.
Just found your channel yesterday, and just started 3ds modding a few months ago. Got into SMT as a whole as well as all things atlas this last winter when I bought SMT V. Your last bible I and II vids along with this vid have convinced me to suffer through I and II to enjoy III cheers! Your content's funny too, love it
It took me awhile to get to this video because I wanted to marathon the trilogy but the first two were so devoid of story it took me awhile to get around to it. Once I finally got to watching this one I stopped after the Invasion and started the game myself, absolutely fucking loved it, what an experience, especially the music. The parts that stuck out to me the most was that and the clear focus on story and narrative and the 3rd person was such a plus after playing SMT 1/2/If. This channel really comes through with some rare gems on top of the awesome videos, shoutout to Marsh!
Wanna hear a secret? I watch this video every month. JUST for the BLING BLING BOY joke. 😂 I woke up my brother and shot soda outta my nose the first time i heard it. Thank you marsh ❤
This was a long time coming, but MAN was this video worth the wait! This was another case like SMT 1, where I played the game ahead of Marsh's video so I could better appreciate his takes on it, and he seriously hit the nail on the head with just about everything. From combat, to music, to story, to the sheer amount of content and side stuff in the game, Last Bible 3 excels in almost every department. The only thing I can really knock the game for is that it (and this is going to sound very stupid) doesn't really feel like a Megaten game? Like ok, you have your Megaten staples like the demons, fusion, and negotiation. But those mechanics take much more of a backseat in this game imo, even compared to the other mainline Last Bible titles. About 20 hours in, I genuinely forgot that I was playing a Megami Tensei game solely because of how different it feels. I dunno, maybe I wouldn't feel that way if I actually finished the other Last Bible games instead of giving up partway through. But that's really my only criticism with the game. I'd say that Last Bible 3 is one of the best RPGs on the Super Famicom, and I say that knowing that shit like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy exist. Now, is this game better than those ones? Realistically no. But I DO think that it can contend with them in a lot of areas, and I'm glad that I played it. Thank you Marsh for introducing me to such an odd, fun little gem, and for giving it the proper inspection deserves. You honestly deserve way more credit for what you do. Also, yeah. That Rag fight was the most cathartic thing to ever exist in a video game.
Watched this in 2 days. Incredible work. Thank you so much for these videos. In a dream world i would play every jrpg. In the real world I just find it amazing that I can get this fleshed out of an experience in a couple hours without doing anything but watching. Doin YHVH's work out here.
The Last Bible trilogy is an insane ride from beginning to end, and I am so glad that I found your channel so long ago, that way I could be here to see the whole thing play out!
It's actually wild how much Last Bible 3 has going for it. Compared to the others in the series, like, this shit is an actual JRPG and a half. Thanks for all the work you put into these videos, Marsh. Genuinely, the quality of your long-form showcases through all of these underappreciated gems, actual trash and everything in between have been a joy every time you put up something new. When the fuck is Rondé though
If this game is as surprisingly amazing as its soundtrack, I feel like I'm in for a real treat with this one. Hometown, Sodom and Devil Forest are suuuuuch under-rated epic gems!
Last Bible 3 being a banger is a surprise. I can see this game getting a lot more love in the future thanks to videos like this. And it looks like you'll never escape Daedalus Tower Marsh...
I'll keep saying it, you need to play the Devil Children games eventually. I think you'd really like them, it's basically SMT trying to copy Pokemon but it's pretty fun and had adult scenes surprisingly, with towns getting burnt down and craziness. They were mostly portable games too, so they are similar in appearance and even gameplay to the The Last Bible games. I still laugh because as far as I know Devil Children is the first SMT to include manually selected skill inheritance.
Been waiting for this everyday since announcement, played this game 5 times, and its great to find out things I missed (like changing Mochwa's magic and Alon building stuff in the middle of battle, didn't know that lol). Also some things because I am a nerd over this game: I always found that my MC magic sucked, even when dedicating stats to wisdom and giving the moves mana so I really focused on STR Vitality (defense) and speed. I have no idea what luck does. Fight by yourself for as long as you can as possible, a little grinding goes a VERY long way in this game and you don't get alone time often. (ofc do not fight alone in encounters where its just enemy spam) Rudy is a badass with his chant spells. Keep him alive, you won't regret it. 23:56: come to Dragon's Fang around here/ after the school arc, if you talk to one of the old men at the left corner they will send you on a fetch quest, do it and you get the fusion spell so you don't have to depend on them. 46:15 You can recruit Roy if you get the letter from the elf prisoner first before leaving. I always did this so I never had to fight anyone here. also there should be a lunar full somewhere in that base so you don't have to walk around before going into Roy's village. Roy can be fused with other demons (unlike some recruitable which render them dead weights) 52:04 you can get a strong sword here called the RP Sword by talking to a girl at the bottom of town and winning rock paper scissors. This sword can confuse petrify or insta kill enemies randomly. You have to be about a level ahead of enemies to get full use and the petrify and insta kill simply do not work on bosses. 1:04:46 : A small reminder you need to talk to that kid twice, easy to forget that. Also Meena kinda nabbed Bob lol. 1:07:32: if you looked behind the Pitthecan Boss here you just get the STRONGEST sword in the game, the Beast Soul Sword. You can sacrifice beasts into it and the sword will buff up your attack to as high as you want. 1:16:59 : I invest in rings around this time, the last gear slot can render enemy spells useless. You can get those in shops. I didn't know the first match Feys paniked or put you to sleep... they never did this that or they kept missing. there is like certain patterns of attack to just exploit the AI of the other teams. Some matches you wail on the healers, some you wail on the main guy. Its either one of those and they just get stuck doing something sub optimal and end up being jokes. For the last match, wail on Morgan. 1:24:48: didn't know Alon could give you the Lung. I would get it from the shark village which is on the way so you don't have to backtrack. 1:25:53: A very funny thing about Banipal, what made him scary lore wise is his undeath and his immunity to magic. However, this fight shows that 1. No one bothered to kill him as a slime or trap him in a bottle. 2. as the MC who is bad at magic and had to be scared of the Souleater, no one thought about simply physically beating him to death and anyone who did didn't double tap him. It also doesn't help that Glen just decks him out later like it was nothing, so it really wasn't just you being the MC, he was really that weak. IDK I find this funny as hell. 1:34:38: I love that this mini game is possible by how good the negotiation mechanic is but its still flat out random so you just might have your savestate handy,.you can really fill your demon slots like this with over leveled fuseable demons because they will give you a good demon after a set of 10. As for Death valley, at this point in the game, Glen IS there but he is training in the 100 beasts trial. I can not stress this enough, take the trial at 1:41:48 when you come back the second time. 100 beasts, sets of 10, a level up each beat set. Sadly you can't do this in one go, its way too hard first shot and you will be stopped at set 5 or so because the boss will pull some bs. 1:47:37 : I found this too. pure accident. Also I should tell people this when it comes to bugs, when MC hits level ~45, he gets RUDY'S spells. (Edit: You much reach this level DURING the trial of 100 beasts to get this bug) This is much more a help for him. Sadly you lose tell teleport spell forever but you can get the Combine spell back at Dragon's peak 1:52:30: this is my favorite part of the game too. I have no idea of the masks and when you loop the room there is different masks. idk what that is 2:03:14: best song in the game only used there. A shame. 2:06:26 : What I like about the whole story here is that Alek started building his army and fighting thru hell, when Ben-Soah died, he straight up admits that he put in so much work building the army that it would be a waste to stop 2:13:30 I fuse those 2 away in my 4th playthrough, you get access to top class demons, also recuiting demons with Tetrakarn is VERY valuable. with that and inheritance from fusing you can cheese the final boss in the 2nd stage due to having like 3-4 demons with the reflect spell. really he does become a joke. I am glad to see you review these!
Going to Dragon's Fangs also nets you an early appearance of Glenn way before he ever becomes relevant to the plot; if you take a different turn away from where you're supposed to reach the boss, he'll be tucked away in a corner looking at the horizon. It's neat. You can also cheese the final boss by spamming Prism 4 with Mochowa since Gilgurk is extremely vulnerable to it, and due to its stats and the way confusion works, it'll always recover from it before you get to act and thus give you a free turn, giving you an opportunity to cast it again. 9 times out of 10, it'll hit. You can quite literally stunlock it.
Whoah… was not expecting an experience like that. I agree with Marsh: if this game had been localized, it’d be part of the same conversation as Earthbound, Final Fantasy VI, and Phantasy Star IV.
There's something so oddly familiar about this game, it's so apparent that it was made by the same people who made the Megaten games on Super Famicom not only due how similar the mechanics are between games but just how the battle sprites feel so similar to those of SMT1 or Kyūyaku Megami Tensei, but now with a much cozier and inviting aesthetic. This on top of a more "traditional" fantasy JRPG presentation, with cutesy overhead chibi sprites who look like giants in the open overworld, very similar to Final Fantasy, Lufia and the like with its cinematic sequences. It really could have become one of the all-time classics of the era having released on the west (even if there would have been lots of censorship, which was the style at the time).
Holy... What a great video this was! It's well made, easy to follow, brilliantly paced, and your commentary is in point. I was sitting here basically the entire time watching it without pause it was that good.
Wooooo new upload! Seriously dude, keep at it! You're pretty much the only dude I know who not only bothers PLAYING these, but giving in-depth videos of them for people who can't get themselves to make the same journey.
Ah, everything starts out in an idyllic village. And BOTH of the protagonist's parents are even alive. A bit cliche, but destroying the protagonist's home and killing off their parents is effective at making them have to grow up quickly and give them motivation, predictable as it may be. Well sure enough, everyone had to evacuate. The father's past is catching up to him, and most of his comrades have already been tracked down and killed. Everyone gets separated. *Maybe* there's a chance you'll see your mom again, but knowing how RPGs go dad is either already dead or you'll show up just in time to see him killed to further set up the villain. Nope, your family is reunited and your parents become playable characters. This is practically unheard of. Though, in Fable you were able to find out that your mom survived when nearing the end of the game, only for the big bad to kill her right in front of you. Well, sometimes a parent can live for a while if they have an important plot arc. Sure enough, the protagonist's parents are killed while he is away to set up the doomsday weapon near the end. Can't have an RPG protagonist with both parents alive. It was only a matter of time. The Pokémon and first 2 Mother games at least give you a mom, but she stays back at home. Gen 3 Pokémon bucked the trend by having your father as a gym leader, but in the Mother series you have an absentee father, who you only communicate with via phone in the first 2 games. While these games subvert the trope, they don't play a strong role in the plot for the most part, and in most games barring Mother 3 the characters themselves could have been changed with little impact on the game. At least there is a bit of a reunion in the underworld, but we all know only the main characters can come back from something like this and the parents have served their purpose. Nope! They're not giving up yet! You can even fight the final boss with your father at your side. In an RPG. A JRPG even! I haven't played every RPG by a longshot but this defied all of my expectations set up by the majority of the ones I *have* played. I was waiting for them to inevitably be killed off like in so many others. When it did happen I was kind of disappointed that it did, because it seemed like this one was going to subvert the trope. Then, when they made it out of the underworld, I was surprised again, like they knew all of the players were just waiting for the parents to die just so they could pull one more twist. For that, I've got to give the game praise for all of the ways it played with expectations even back then.
I wonder if Nordia is supposed to be Nortia, the Etruscan goddess of fate and time? Excellent video as always, and I hope you and your loved ones have a safe, happy, and healthy rest of 2023! :)
Thank you, Marsh. Video is rad. Getting feature-length films on old games from you is one of highlights of my day. I'll probably watch this several times over.
How is every single video you post a masterpiece? I can't think of anything wrong with any of them. Every single thing you post just OOZES quality, and I'm so glad you're bringing these more obscure games to light. Keep up the amazing work!
The fact that I'm not even a third of the way through the video and we've had traumatized war veterans with special powers, a military where the officers all wear nothing but loincloths, chicken possession, a magic school with a funding crisis, sky pirates, an undead government agent abducting children for unsavoury experiments, multiple villages undergoing evacuations and a pack of werewolves banding together to save a Christmas elf. This game is definitely juggling a lot of stuff but I'm definitely interested to see where it all goes.
Hope you guys enjoy this one. Last Bible III was a huge surprise to me - it's a massive game, and genuinely a bittersweet conclusion to the trilogy. Good job on completing this crazy task. I'm sure you went through a ton making the videos. Thanks a bunch.

No one was really expecting a story that begins with the child protagonist going to magic school and having fun dungeon excursions with his friends, to end with that same child being murdered and going to hell. This is what you might call a "Wild Ride".
2 hours and 30 minutes of finally seeing Marsh's mental health journey in Last Bible - getting my tea and popcorn
2:21:56 Holy fucking jumpscare, most terrifying thing Marsh has ever shown in the Megaten series
To be fair, considering Akemi's initial role as the villain protagonist of the original Megami Tensei, yes, his Kubrick stare can look pretty unnerving.
I got so hyped when I saw that
IKR, that ok i pull up on nakajima's face scared me a lot
49:07 For Roy to survive, you just have to talk to the elf on the jail cell before you leave. Also there's a fusion spell on the dragon's fangs
LET'S GOOO Finally the epic conclusion to Marsh's psychological downfall
1:39:01 I could FEEL the vengeful bloodlust rising slowly here. Playing "To Become God's Enemy" as the background for Rag's long, long, LONG overdue bossfight was glorious, and really the only fitting choice.
This really is the best game of all time.
Marsh: *posts 2+ hour video of obscure Shin Megami Tensei game*
Me: That’s some good shit.
Slow down, I might have a concussion or something, you cant do this to me!"
Marsh, you made my crappy night so much better with that line alone.
Hey man, hope things get better for ya.
Same here friendo, hopefully we get things in order soon. Baby steps
My man Lich, I hope that things start to improve over the near future 💪
I have no words. Over 2 hours of Marshy goodness...just out of no where.
We are not worthy.
Ben Shoah showing off his new invention and exclaiming "Good news, everyone" remimds me so much of Futurama.
4 seconds more and we would have got a 2:22:22 Video Marsh
This truly is a Last Bible III moment
"To the east is another big city, Thracia"
*war flashbacks*
Wyverns moment
War of 776?
Fatigue?
Inescapable execution chamber?
The high priest with 10 leadership stars?
@@DarkJ1425 The objective best entry in the series?
@@Just.Kidding i don’t know if they will ever remake the damn thing since they made Engage giving more eyes to FE4 and 5. Also it’s funny they mentioned Saias in there.
Seriously, wish they kept his 10 stars instead of cutting him down twice.
nothing i love more than watching a 2 hour video on one of the series related to my favorite occult themed RPGs
It's badass that the evil Gaia Masters from LB1 join you in the end. I love it when games do stuff like that.
2 hours of marsh content is insane! Massive respect for taking the time to go through all this
Gonna have to marathon them all together cause I really can't remember a single thing from the previous ones
Marsh is nothing less than a god among men. He is the type of creator that every gaming fandom wish they had.
This came out almost right after I got out of work. Can't wait to spend my night watching another certified Marsh banger.
That raw line of "Ben Shoah really needs to eat my ass" not only made me chuckle but made me realize how hard that hit Marsh there
It has come, the most awaited moment of 2023. Thank you for your awesome and kind work. This videos is going to be a banger.
That ending...dreams do come true. Glad some companies are still porting old/lost games
I'm so happy for you Marsh
You're one of the best MegaTen YTbers and now you even have a sponsors.
Marsh has evolved so much since his early SMT if... days that he's playing SNES games in the correct 8:7 aspect ratio. I'm so proud of you.
The level of Metal Gear conspiracy in this fantasy JRPG is nearing Vagrant Story.
I love it.
Thank you for all the effort you put on your videos Marsh
When we needed him the most, he returned.
1:35:00 I did the negotiation mini game, you get a new beast for completing each wave. You get the 4 Archangels for passing the last 4. Levels 50-60, 100 percent worth doing. (with save states)
Last Bibble is a very underrated series. I hope more megaten fans get a chance to play these games especially the third game.
Only you could make me emotional and nostalgic for a series of games i never played, thank you so much Marsh
Finally, the ending to this absolute banger.
Edit: Oh god, oh no, there is more to come. I hope Marsh will live through this.
Damn this’s been a while in the making, so nice to see someone so dedicated to serving us
Man, here I thought that the extra time was because this was a painful experience on par with the worst versions of the first two and you needed to take breaks to cry throughout, but hot damn, 2 1/2 hours on this one game!? Thank you, Marsh, both for your hard work and for brightening up the weekend with this.
It can't be coincidence that both Last Bible 3 and Nine have a guy name Baraki, and your friend threatening to use an IED up to send a message. Although Baraki is just a rando boss in LB3.
Maybe a Last Bible fan wrote SMT Nine, who knows.
Yeah it is pretty weird, I think I initially planned to talk about that and cut it
Putting in To Become God’s Enemy during the hunt for Ragg made me laugh so goddamn hard
binge watched all the last bible series to get to this point. already know it’s gonna be a fat W
I know i’m old as shit now because I had to look up who bling bling boy was. Great vid as always Marsh, youre truly the GOAT of youtube as far as im concerned
The ending of this video is the biggest plot twist I have ever heard of in my entire life.
I woke up my brother and shot soda outta my nose the first time i heard it.
Thank you marsh ❤
im glad that joke paid off
This was a long time coming, but MAN was this video worth the wait!
It's always a good day when marsh drops a video ❤️ 🙋🏻♀️
My favorite UA-camr playing a game I was obsessed with trying to play since 2010 thank you Marsh
I was very hyped for this video. I played LB3 in July of 2022 and was gobsmacked. Truly one of the most hidden of hidden gems.
Alright Google spy. Coworker mentioned your channel today at work and now you popped up on my feed for the first time.
Boy, what a game... And what a cliffhanger of what's going to come in the future.
Also some things because I am a nerd over this game:
I always found that my MC magic sucked, even when dedicating stats to wisdom and giving the moves mana so I really focused on STR Vitality (defense) and speed. I have no idea what luck does. Fight by yourself for as long as you can as possible, a little grinding goes a VERY long way in this game and you don't get alone time often. (ofc do not fight alone in encounters where its just enemy spam)
Rudy is a badass with his chant spells.
Roy can be fused with other demons (unlike some recruitable which render them dead weights)
52:04 you can get a strong sword here called the RP Sword by talking to a girl at the bottom of town and winning rock paper scissors.
Sadly you lose tell teleport spell forever but you can get the Combine spell back at Dragon's peak
1:52:30: this is my favorite part of the game too. I have no idea of the masks and when you loop the room there is different masks. idk what that is
2:03:14: best song in the game only used there. A shame.
2:06:26 : What I like about the whole story here is that Alek started building his army and fighting thru hell, when Ben-Soah died, he straight up admits that he put in so much work building the army that it would be a waste to stop
2:13:30 I fuse those 2 away in my 4th playthrough, you get access to top class demons, also recuiting demons with Tetrakarn is VERY valuable. with that and inheritance from fusing you can cheese the final boss in the 2nd stage due to having like 3-4 demons with the reflect spell. really he does become a joke.
Holy crap marsh you're a amazing creator thanks so much for the time and effort you have put into these videos
Wooooo new upload!
Seriously dude, keep at it! You're pretty much the only dude I know who not only bothers PLAYING these, but giving in-depth videos of them for people who can't get themselves to make the same journey.
A new Marsh vid? And it’s over two hours long?! Truly this is the best of days
Welcome back! I'm gonna listen to this as a podcast
"The pacing skyrockets"
I'm not sure if the escape pod counts as a rocket, but eh, close enough
How is every single video you post a masterpiece? I can't think of anything wrong with any of them. Every single thing you post just OOZES quality, and I'm so glad you're bringing these more obscure games to light. Keep up the amazing work!
The length of the video brings me joy. Thanks for a passionate in depth review. It was worth it I tell you!
What an amazing finale! Great job Marsh!!!
Thank you marsh for delivering the final last bible video
starting the video now, you're the only youtuber that can get me hyped for a last bible game
"Is he Doom Guy?" Took me completely by surprise and had me rolling 🤣 🤣
All I can say is Bravo! I'm glad I got to be a part of this crazy journey. I'll play these games soon!
Holy moly I rewatched the first and second parts like 19 times
I love your videos and am so excited
hell yeah. Always a blast when marsh uploads
Truly, THIS is finally the Last Bible.
2 hours!?
Damn, im in for a banger as always
