This, for me, is the best female version of this song. It gives me goosebumps, such a beautiful song, and Connie's voice just makes it more incredible.
Really agree. I've now watched almost 80* covers and stage performances of someone singing this song. And I haven't found a single such balanced presentation on UA-cam in three days! When will Lucy Thomas publish hers - that would be interesting to have! Connie has the added advantage of playing the piano herself as well as moving the camera around - things that Lucy doesn't use in her own shoots. I want to add to all this that performers like them, who give their whole soul to a song - they immerse themselves in the song and it shows in their facial expressions, head movements and voice use (and in a hands-free situation, also in the hands-emphasis gestures) - they make every song like this EVEN more beautiful.

In my opinion, "Always on my Mind" is one of the greatest songs ever written. Willie Nelson, Elvis Presley, Pet Shop Boys and now Connie Talbot are the best versions of this song. Connie, you sang this song like a true legend. Thank you for making my evening.
I'll bet Willie or his son Lukas would love to sing it with her. I saw Lucas open for BB King in Portland Oregon years ago - wow. He is an accomplished artist in every regard and if he wants to - he can sing his dad's songs just like his dad. Connie made this song hers now too. Willie is, I'm sure, honored.
I couldn't agree more. I guess most of us experience this kind of thing in our relationship wt our beloveds wherein we repent to the point of so very deepest regret. And later at some other points in our life we recall such things with more n bitter regrets as they are no where to reach any more.
It is the true test of how well written a song when different versions, even in different genres are good. The Lick the Tins version is also fun. This version of Connie's is so sweet.

Been following Connie Talbot since BGT when, at six, she stood fearlessly on the stage with no teeth (well she did have some) singing Over the Rainbow. She sang many songs as a child that I loved and often listen to. I especially liked many of her songs when she was about twelve. And then she grew up and continued to sing so beautifully. But I think this: “Always On My Mind” may be the best song she has ever done. Stunning!

He, too, Connie, lost his sister within the last couple of weeks! She was 91. Willie is 88, 89, at the end of April. There are many great songs written by Willie; some others made them the hits they are today. But he has a slew of hits himself... Job well done, Connie Talbot!!!
