Talqin is a sermon. The intent of Talqin is for the living one to remind them that death is there and we need to be prepared to face death by doing good deeds and keep doing good. It's a tradition rather than an Islamic religious ritual therefore in this pressing time whereby we would like to minimize exposure, a simple prayer (which is a must) is the bear minimum that we need to do. The religious governing body in Malaysia issued a fatwa (religious order) to simplify the burial process with consultation of renowned Muslim scholars in Malaysia and worldwide. Also, the last burial footage before the end credit is real footage from actual burial of COVID 19 patient; credit to the family for their willingness to share the footage. And one of the news clipping shown at the end is from nurse that infected by COVID 19 and died from it. :(

My dad didn't die from coronavirus, but yeah... It's really sad that we can't even visit him when he was sick and only get updated one time per day.. kalau boleh tiap masa nak jenguk bapak.

when he died.. he was alone..
Musim haji kan ramai, mak pun tak dpt bersama dgn bapak lama2 sampai hujung nyawa dia , visa dia tak bagi stay Madinah mesti jugak pegi mekah sbb dah dekat mula haji. Sehari slps tu bapak meninggal. Tak sempat pun nak ucap selamat tinggal sbb masa dia kena acute pneumonia attack tu terus pengsan tak bangun2. Selama ni bapak sihat je.. and tiba2 dia sakit dekat sana. Dia meninggal dekat Madinah masa musim haji. Kena kubur sana.. org kata untungnya bapak kamu kena kubur sana.. alhamdulillah dia kena kubur di al-baqi.. tp sebagai ank... Sakitnya tu org yg pernah mengalami saja tahu , Tak dpt jumpa bapa masa sakit + meninggal + masa kubur pun tak dpt nak kuburkan ayah sbb jauh di negara lain..
Dlm hidup dia tak pernah susahkan kitaorg..

Talqin is similar to the last farewell.. Everybody came to pay their respect to the decesed and watch the burial moment.. But with this virus, nobody allowed to be there.. Its so heartbreaking.

Talqin is basically a prayer which is lead by one Imam after the burial of a Muslim. Its sort of like an advise or a last message to the one who is going to meet his Creator. Talqin could last for around 10-15 minutes after the burial. Only then people will gradually leave the cemetery. Correct me if i’m wrong✌️
Yes. Its true. But its not a requirement, but nice to have.
@@nicolerosenah933 yes, it's mostly for reminders of the attendees of the burial. I mean, for the living as the dead is probably waiting for the interrogation from the angels.
So, they are probably overwhelmed by the new situation and does not pay attention to what happened on the surface of the living. They are probably scared by the surrounding darkness and the new environment, plus the angels that about to come are not the particularly typical "beautiful angels", they are firm, stern and direct as interrogators. It's basically a traumatizing and terrifying experience for the dead.
So please don't forget to "be with them" through the whole scenario by sending your prayers, and good deeds as supplements for them. It keep things a bit brighter and ease. This is an exception for the wicked of course, as their condition will not be 'pretty' no matter how much prayers you send to them.
So. be a good person as long as you live. You may never know your fate once you are 'there'. It will be too late as the dead will not be able to recover their past, and they will bear the 'consequences' for quite a long time or worst, for an eternity.

A talqin recitation can be considered as our final form of respect to the deceased Muslim. Usually, the imam or head of the burial will say words to remind everyone present that death is our last destination no matter who we are and what we do in this world, and also words for the deceased such as what the deceased will face after death and so on. It is a short, but very deep speech of sorts, a kind of reminder for us as well.

I'm burst to tears (again) when I saw your wife crying. I got the tiny gist how it felt for the frontliners to face situation informing family regards the heartbreak outcome. I used to work in human resource department (recruitment). Every time I had to delivered message (calling/ emailing) for unsuccessful candidate, it breaks my heart knowing how they really wanted the job but who am I to decide over that matters. That's why I can relate well the emotion of frontliners. And as for that, I salute & respect for them.

Heartbreaking indeed. I have been watching this for so many times yet I lost to it every single time. To think of not being able to send the loved ones ‘properly’ like we normally do is, out of this world.
Talqin as mentioned in the video is actually like credentials informations read by a knowledgeable man (imam/ustadh) after the body has been buried, as a reminder to those who are still living and as instructions kind of to the deceased. Usually it’s quiet long, due to the Covid19, only short prayer recitation allowed to reduce the risk of infection. I hope this help. #kitajagakita

I think this message is exactly what is needed for the masses to realize the severity of the Covid 19 pandemic. I wish this video could go viral in the US, just to show what's happening behind the curtains and what the victims and their family have to go through. And to see how the Americans take this pandemic very lightly, eventhough they are right now the champion in the Covid race to be the top, is just beyond me. I've watched many video reactions of this video but everytime i end up like your wife. I must apologise to your wife to have to put her through this(watching the video). It is sad indeed for these patients to pass away basically alone and loved ones of the deceased cannot even attend the burial. Unfortunately, the medical professionals have to take all the necessary precautions since SARS-CoV2 (aka COVID19) is a BSL-3 pathogen which is just one step removed from the highest rating, BSL-4 pathogens e.g. Ebola, Marburg, etc.

It actually very hard to get the oppurtunity to make an interview with the frontliners. As they were too busy handling the pandemic. But yeah they manage to spend their time for a while to make this video happen. Great job!
The sad thing is even our friends die from covid-19, we cannot visit them.
One of my friends just died from other disease durring this outbreak, I could join online funeral only. No one is around the bereved. Hearpains to see the family through the video.

My late great grandfather died on April. So many process need to do just for the burial. The saddest thing was, only few of our family members was able to attend his funeral. The guys were able to attend it bcs they were the one who build the casket, dig and buried my late great grandpa. While others, online funeral, same like you :(

The prayer for the deceased usually attended by many. Family, relatives, friends and colleagues. It's like similar to paying respect to the deceased. When a COVID-19 patient passed away, we can't accompany him/her to the grave and give the last respect. One of the last footages that you watched (the frontliners carrying out the coffin) was one recorded by a victim's family from inside the car, unable to help carrying the deceased to the grave. It's truly heartbreaking. :(

Talqin is like a sermon after the burial of the deceases in Islam, where the officer (usually ustaz/ imam) will read out a speech that contain prayer recitation, speech reminder about the death to the people at the graveyard. Talqin can be as short as 5 - 15 minutes.
They cut the talqin to reduce the risk of infection. Just a burial and simple prayer recitation. Stay safe 💪🏻🇲🇾👌🏻
