Kedah, Selangor and Sabah fell off the desk because they're the states that have the highest rising cases of Covid19 atm. Melaka was given a heroic character because back then, the Malaccan Sultanate was the most popular Malay Sultanate in SE Asia. Perlis was voiced by a little girl because Perlis is the smallest state. When they form up together at the end, you can see Sabah was on top of the others because Mount Kinabalu in Sabah is the highest mountain in Malaysia. When the little girl wanted to buy the erasers, you can see the other two blank erasers. People said those two erasers resembled Brunei and Singapore because these two independent nations were once part of Malaysia and almost made it to the current federation.

Malaysians consists of 3 main religions but however our school memories were all the same. We bought erasers to play flipping, we played with pens, use a soda can for football, eat nasi lemak and so much more. Those were the days when technology wasnt a whole big thing and our parents were little or just average earners. These were small games we created and passed along generations. I'm not sure if these games are still being played in school or not due to kids these days just prefer using an app for everything. I'd really wanna go back in time to re live those memories.

Yeah, many Malaysians including myself sometimes forget how incredible & amazing it is for us to be able to live together, tolerant towards each other and even work together as a team to overcome any difficulties, TOGETHER. We never thought that a small country like Malaysia could have up to 14 states, in which each states has its own different accents & dialects of the Malay Language, not to mention about the different foods & cultures that can represent each states and how different those things can vary from states to states. What’s even more amazing is that this multiracial, multi-religious, & multicultural country, since its independence, has developed into societies that are mostly tolerant & respectful towards each other no matter what age, races, religions, skin colours, languages, accents, dialects, cultures, and even social backgrounds. Non-Malaysians may not notice much or strongly feel this impact when they’re visiting Malaysia or watching this kind of video, but believe me, we Malaysians really do get the obvious differences between each other. However, we are able to set aside our differences and focus more on the similarities and the strong attributes that each of us have.
Diversity is what makes our country stronger and the unity spirit of 1 Malaysia that runs through our veins just make everything better. The influence from different races & cultures towards each states (since even before Colonialism & Malaccan Sultanate) has even lead to the development of new sets of cultures, fashions, foods, languages and even technologies that are just so different from the mainland India, China, etc and probably won’t exist without this form of multiculturalism that happened in Malaysia. I’m not judging other countries’ efforts of multiculturalism but I feel that, for example, western countries, the societies are most likely integrated into a fixed and singular set of cultural mindset (if this makes sense to you). The Spanish people are not Spanish enough if they’re not Catholic, speak & understand the Spanish language, eating only Spanish foods and strictly follow Spanish traditions. What are Spanish identity? On the other hand, the country named ‘Malaysia’ is a different story. It’s a different concept of an established society. It’s probably different due to our ancestors all had one common goal: To be free from the British involvement and interference of our own lands, our own lives, and our futures. We decide our own fates. That’s what the history books said... 😁
Just to add one more thing, Malaysia and Singapore are very much similar to each other. Both countries have same racial makeup and close to each other and had similar shared history together. Singapore itself WAS a part of Malaysia so it just makes sense. However, after the Separation of Singapore from Malaysia, especially nowadays, the social development and local cultures that took place in Singapore are VERY different compared to Malaysia. The behaviours & attitudes of Malaysians are different that Singaporeans (despite their races, languages, & cultures). Malaysia really emphasis more on ‘fair rights’ of opportunities & benefits for every Malaysian citizens, while Singapore focuses more on ‘equality’ no matter their backgrounds. Which one do you think is more ideal? 🤔
