The use of light 'pipes' goes back some way. I had a Corgi VW van in the 60's where you shone a light on to the roof and the headlights light up. The tech eventually lead to fiber optics communications cable across oceans, but in model form you have to get the angles right to reflect/refract light down the 'pipe' and for it not to rainbow on the way.
Cool... Yeah I think there's paint spray around the plastic prisims looking at this vid again..it just about works OK on the lighting the red marker is very week and mixed.. Thanks for watching.
I've got a DC version, Amazon had a massively discounted batch a few years ago. Really amazing runner, probably one of my best! The Mehano G2000 is also a good one, although its made in China rather then Slovenia.
Cool...yeah I can run this loco at speed step 1 across any complex junctions without stalling which is very impressive for a loco without power backup.
@@PompeyGamesRoom HI Sean, on the new chip the default output is 100 and the output is very hot on this model for some reason so the plastic prisoms may melt if not turned down on the voltage. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Hello Jim! Another great video you made!! I always wanted to buy one of these as I have the G2000 already, but there is a Hobby Version and a Prestige one. Which one is yours, probably the Prestige?
Thanks , this was a very rare set as it came with four wagons, It was never used, not sure which version it was it had no dcc chip installed out the box , I think it was the older version. Jim
Nice Loco Jim . a Very unusual one at that , Reminds me of our own class 70 or even a 58 with the Body . Sound Great . Runs really Great .

Funny shape...a bit of a bone really, cheers Jim.
Thanks Bud , it's a very narrow loco on the engine room area so the fitout had to be very tidy..
