@@dr.buzzvonjellar8862 It has sometimes happened to me playing guitar, but once I notice it, it’s like when Wily Coyote notices he is walking on air, and then falls. Ha ha. Stay in the moment seems key. No cares what others think, or faces they make , or any of that.
I am a peace-loving - even religious - man. When I see or hear people complaining about anything on this channel and we get to see what we have in the last 3 videos, I uncharacteristically think about punching... not sure what, a face maybe. Shame on me. But also, how can anyone not be grateful for this eavesdropping we are allowed to do? Thanks Uncle Larry. Really.
Just seeing the pure joy on all of their faces…I can’t help but smile just watching it let alone hearing it. Uncle Larry, you’ve got the magic, man. A lifetime of dedication and sacrifice to a craft that you share with the world. Thank you, for letting us peek into the world that is you. We’re better for it.
Tom’s music & conversations with’ always great & always bring smiles! Being an ‘insider’ from the start can absolutely recommend ‘Blackbird’ to everyone!!!
Legendary Howard at Mac Amplification in Leeds England is a Binson Echorec master guru, caring for Gilmour, Townsends and others Binson machines. He can completely rebuild, rewire and set them up. I found one not working and he rebuilt it. Perfect now. He is an amp genius too.
Do you believe in past lives? Hearing you play that ukulele made me close my eyes and imagine that you were once a dashing young minstrel playing in a king's court six or seven hundred years ago. Just think of it: Instead of tipping a bottle of Rolling Rock toward your spellbound audience, a tankard of mead would be at your side while a fire blazed in the wide hearth, soft candlelight filling the deeper reaches of the room, casting playful shadows that would flit and flutter to the jaunty tune of your lute. The fair maidens dancing round, arm in arm, in their many layers of finery; the men stamping the rhythm in their heavy mud-encrusted leather boots, sloshing their own tankards of mead in a jubilant toast to ye olde session man - Avunculus Laurentius.
so fun, my first tape echo experience was with a Fender a kid brought to High School...no idea what it was but it was the Live at Leeds guitar sound I was in love with ,thanks man.
Pretty sure the Binson was used on the original "Apache" that has that killer effect where the pick is quickly rubbed on the low E string on round wounds that has this amazing percussive yet delayed sound...
Melodies abound. Love the echo exploration. Nice to see Jason Isbell giving you a nod on his Gibson TV gear show today. Can’t beat a good 335. Reckon you’ve got him beat on the title of guitar players’ guitar font of knowledge - Agnesi’s suggestion- though, Tommy.
Sweet video. I’ll definitely be watching the full video on blackbird studios in the link posted. Thanks again Tom really interesting stuff and I would wish to own one of those echo units one day.
Great playing Tom,,,,!I've been trying to bend the chords the way I see you, really elevates the sound , you're playing always amazes me, seems the best players are a little understated, but there's a lot of intricacies
Any of these units that can self-oscillate get high marks from me. Cool how you got a unison bend sound with the Space Echo, but with one string! Great video!!
Yeah I know who you are and that is one of the most melodic players on this earth everything you do is just so damn killer !! Marcus Deml is another player who just has an incredibly perfect touch.
Uncle Larry is plugged directly into the ether.
❤I agree and love this comment
Always! 👍
And physicists say there isn’t an ether! They need to hear this…
@@annunacky4463 Musicians know the ether is real. On a good night, my guitar plays me! Uncle Larry seems to flow freely with it.

8:00 Hit the nail on the head. So many people don’t demo delays properly.

I love that in the Beatles Get Back the Echorec is new and Paul is really all about getting one in the studio...
I said it before and I'll say it again. NO CHANNEL on UA-cam gives us what Uncle Larry give us....PERIOD THANK YOU!
Amen.
That guitar is incredible. sounded so good just through the amp. But my goodness those effects are so good. Great playing. Best video ever
Man, that is some of the best playing I've seen from ole Tommy! So melodic!
holy shit Tommy! you're giving us so much good stuff today. Not sure what we did to deserve this, but hell am I grateful!
Amongst all this great content, I get the trip down memory lane, remembering John Martyn concerts.
Oh yes . Outside in .
Hey Tom, just wanna say thanks for putting out all this cool content, which seems like on an almost daily basis.

Buk, you have the baddest channel on UA-cam!
The space echo 501 we had one on the board in 1980!
I wish I had one now!
Got a subscription to Inside Blackbird. Really love it.
Love those those things and still got one- dread the maintenance. Finishing my beer 🍺 and callin it a day!
I live for this stuff. Also, learning about the gear used and the recording process used to make the great records we all know and love.
“Welcome to the undersea world of Jacques Cousteau!”
Love it. Cannot get enough of this kinda joy.

Fascinating sounds Tom.🍻🤙
Subscribed! Thank You!
The only piece of gear I regret parting with was an early serial number Fulltone Tube Tape Echo.
"Now....That's....Quite a Product As We Say"!
Thnx for all the vids today
The minstrel Bukovac. Loved it. And I never really understood echo until now with this great team, talent and humor.
Thanks Tom!
Les Paul and the echoplex were the stars of the show for me. Cool sounding amp too
Uke kinda sounded like Only Women Bleed by Alice cooper... remember that tune?
Loving the Uke!
so fun, my first tape echo experience was with a Fender a kid brought to High School...no idea what it was but it was the Live at Leeds guitar sound I was in love with ,thanks man.
mannnnn this is awesome Unc coming thru clutch

Sweet Uke Buk!
All of these videos should rightfully be preserved in the Smithsonian.
Honestly, there's nobody better than Tom to show this stuff off. Sorry Mr. Gilmore, I love you, but Tom is THE GOAT!! 😋
Man, this was great stuff. Thank you for sharing!
Wonderful. Really enjoyed it. Thanks so much.

It looks like a delay can pull a rhythm out of you really fast. You listen for 2 seconds and then out comes a groove.
Thank you Tom! Great stuff as always! 🇺🇸
Sweet video. I’ll definitely be watching the full video on blackbird studios in the link posted. Thanks again Tom really interesting stuff and I would wish to own one of those echo units one day.
Kinda an upscale TPS show. Mick and Dan would LOVE to do a studio hobnob! I will be tuning in, sir. Always a good time.

You can out content any kid under the table
My son graduated Blackbird University’s Live Audio School. He hasn’t stopped working since.
How fun was that?!? I’ll check out the full episode. Thanks for all you do UL.
That was like some 2001 Space Odyssey shit
Yeah I know who you are and that is one of the most melodic players on this earth everything you do is just so damn killer !! Marcus Deml is another player who just has an incredibly perfect touch.
Space Cowboy Dude!
I like them ALL !!
that intro was awesome!
Have a Dawner Prince Boonar & Stryman El Capistan. Always enjoy good echoes...
Fucking awesome as usual
When is the Uncle Larry / GT album is coming out ??
Can’t wait anymore!!!
Oh nice job!
2:40 this is the face when you know what you want
Is the Cooper Time Cube video still coming? Thanks, Tom.
Love you man
Great demo of those echo units! You ever mess around with Traynor amps? I think they’re a great sleeper amp and very rugged.
Is that a JTM45 lurking on your right hand side, Uncle Larry? Thank you for your great videos and Inspiration!
This is bad ass. Cool tech stuff. Nobody is doing what you're doing with these videos.
first person to turn a guitar into a theremin
How bout a red blue and grey cover with the uke but you gotta put your signature vocals on it
Does anyone know what kind of pickups are in that Les Paul?
Gibson…from 1958
Thanks. Such incredible tone! I would never leave the house if I had that setup.
It’s a given that your hands are good, but it might be your ears that make the difference.
Killer!
Saweeet!
