I agree. But you should include some oil filter on the output of compressor. The oil is being
sprayed into fog inside compressor and it is being sucked with input air. It could
contaminate that water.

Refrigeration guy here. Neat idea. I wonder how long it will last now that water is in the compressor where the lubricant oil was. These compressors are full of oil normally in refrigerators. The internal parts are steel and never meant to come into contact with water. Water is what kills most refrigeration compressors.
He use blowing air not intake(vacum) on the motor. I try this didnt work for me
How would water flow up a pressurized line? When you say "refrigeration guy here", do you mean that you drive a refrigerated semi, because that seems to be your intelligence threshold.
He's using a venturi style air lift pump.
Water isn't touching anything it's not ment to.

in australia a car air conditioner compressor was driven by a wind mill to do the same thing , as no power is required ( air lifting water ) great if your out in the middle of nowhere . which we have plenty of here ( there is a huge amount of exploration drill holes in the bush ) boil before drinking .
You can put an inline fuel filter on the intake pipe of the compressor to filter the air.
This is called an AIR LIFT
I used to build coffer dams in muddy rivers and lakes and I built air lifts on a large scale .
60ft 10 inch pipe with 2 large air compressors and a 100 ton crane fishing around in the coffer dam removing up to 20ft of material to pour an underwater concrete seal then after it hardens pump all water out now the crews can get in there and form up the piers or whatever we need in a dry clean environment....
You can introduce error at the bottom of any pipe in water and make an airlift are is an amazing thing when put Against Gravity underwater

The oil in the compressor is used for lubrication and cooling if you remove it the compressor doesn't last very long
Again, this is a reason why I really don't like these channels that put on these statements that have nothing to do with the statement of the video. First of all, if you remove the compressor in most cases it is burned out so it's no use anyway. And even if it were, who in their right mind will want to use it as a small air pump or even a small vacuum?
Just don't drink the water it pumps. Oil is in the compressor and WILL pump out into the well water. May not see it but it does.

If you put a check valve (foot valve) in the blue pipe near the bottom, you should get a constant flow of water.
Well that’s 10 minutes and 35 seconds of my life I’ll never get back. This all could’ve been demonstrated in about 30 seconds of video. Old concept that didn’t need to get dragged out this long
A junk cars air conditioning pump hooked to an electric motor from a washer or dryer, connected to an air tank makes a good air compressor. Had one at home as a kid for tires, etc. An old power steering pump makes a great parts washer when hooked to an electric motor. A washing machine pump can be useful also. An electric dryer, washer etc. motor also makes a decent bench grinder.

It makes a great vacuum pump for cleaning refrigeration and fading up car air condition and domestic refridgeration
Seems a good idea except for the fact that these type of compressor releases oil from its motor. It means that in a while you´ll have your well water full of hydraulic oil. Good for washing car suspension and other devices that need lubrication though...

There's no oil getting released into water he's using a blower not the intake
If one wants to get poisoned ok. But as soon as the temperature rises, oil starts to evaporate in its smoke phase. That smoke will go into water as they share the same passage. All compressors that use oil as lubricant are forbidden by law to be used as pump in any human consuming water here in Brasil. There are specific graphite lubricated compressor for that matter...

been there done that , it was still the ninties back then . dont forget to add more oil to the internal parts if you want it to lasy more than a couple months. because i really blows it out.
Somewhat interesting way to elevate water out of a well hole. I would rate this about a 5 because I feel that there be better DIY hacks for a refrigerant compressor. I don't know the psi and cfm capabilities but could they be used to run air tools, air up a tire, or pressurize hydraulic oil and work a cylinder like a log splitter? I got a couple old retired outdoor central air conditioner units, complete with fan , compressor, condenser. Would lime to rig up a diy cooling unit for my shop using something cheap like 90% alcohol as refrigerant.

That Compressor WON't last long before it locks up,No lubrication which is in the Refrigerant in a normal application.That loud noise you hear from the compressor is metal to metal noise,got a lot of experience HVAC is what I do,not something that's going to last long

I've literally used a old freezer compressor pump for compressed air for 16 years now and still works great..lube is in the case as well

Nice fish bubbler. I didnt know what to do with my 3in bore 7ft deep well till now. Know I know it because I measure it with the metric system. Cant wait till the humid air makes the piston seize.

Plus the water is well oxygenated when it comes out.
They work for a while you have to keep oil in it or they stop pumping and burn the motor up
it will be powerfull if you modify the dinamo in side,,, make the direct fan from the spinning rotor..

Fridge compressors use pistons like garage ones. They work submerged in oil. If you use it for water it will jam in no time at all. Ruin it for good.

Instead of constructing the system like that. Much better if you could try to establish an air tight system in that well and use the pneumatic force exerted by the compressor (let the compressor blow air to the system) to the well which pushes water upward through another tube connected deep into the well (submerged into the water) cosidering proper calculations for the heads.. u should obtain a much better and a constant volumetric flow. If you know what i mean.
Its only a suggestion, but by theory and calculations it could be done with proper specifications and sizes especially for the tube/pipes.

Fabricate a better venturi tube and use a small pvc. I think it will work. Anyways great work.
You have connected both the tubes by using copper tube and inserted this in bore well.
But have not shown open end of pipe which will suck water

No - pcp air guns run at a huge pressure & these aren’t pumping at that range. I have seen cheap mini high pressure compressors that do them on ebay cheap…

This application is right up my alley!
It's a simple air lift pump. The tube is lowered into the water. The air line from the compressor goes up inside the the water tube below the water line. As the bubbles try to head up they push the water with them forcing water to come out the other end. This principle has its limitations. Higher you try and lift the less water you can push.

Your missing the point .... thats one way of keeping it green and ( self sufficient ) for off grid type people . You can get free ac compressor out of thrown away fridge and freezer . Solar panel to run pump too .... your set for off grid ! Self sufficient !
Depend on the depth. Cheap submersible pump may not have enough " LIFT "!

Never seen one used to move water. Made a quiet air compressor out of one though but those things tend to spit quite a bit of oil with no real way of checking oil level.

in an enclosed building, the vapors from it is toxic
the air from this system is not for breathing and not to mix with drinking water yet the project was absolutely great

There are mistakes. This pump sprays oil and you must not drink this water.
And when the lubricant is dried up or washed out of the pump?
Six hours = one bucket water - means too expensive.
