Yes, please do a comparison for IEW and AAR! My oldest is going into third grade and I have not found a spelling curriculum I love but was considering AAR but I am so intrigued by IEW just intimidated to start.
I tried IEW PAL but I gave up. Too complicated for my ADHD brain.
Hello :D Thanks for the video... did you do the teaching writing course also? I'm trying to decide if I need to purchase that as well. Thanks!
Repeating every day until my daughter got all the words in the list right? Man, if she didnt nail it on the first go round, she'd tune out real darn quick to that...
I'm trying the spelling program for my 9th grader this year! I'm hoping she'll enjoy it... spelling has been so difficult since she has many learning struggles. I think collecting the cards will keep her motivated :) I like that it's not babyish. Even the IEW structure and style level A is not babyish. She's slowly working her way through the course and really loves the humor of the instructor. IEW is great!
Make sure to use the 1st edition of all about spelling with her.
Do you feel like the training videos for parents is absolutely necessary before jumping in? I’m looking at their new frontiers in writing they’ve come out with geared towards 5th graders but we’ve never done structure and style before. Would I be ok with just the parents guide to that unit or do you think I’d be lost and confused lol. Thanks!
You can also watch the videos from structure and style with your child. There are also some short videos that go through the details of how to use IEW. Once you get it, it’s pretty easy.
I don't know if its just my computer, but I keep getting an error page for your IEW link

I am so torn. I want to do theme based for my 5th grader but I feel like we need to do 1A 😫
I can't wait to try phonetic zoo for my oldest when he is ready. He is an audible learning.
