I love the "Vegas Row" setup of the original. I love the extra "Jackpot" space. I prefer having some spots with 1 bill and some with many. I like passing a dice tray around. Sounds like I'm set, right? After your explanation of the new core game, I was happy with what I own, though I do like the chip reroll idea and will probably incorporate that into mine. Then came the expansion tile explosion. Dang it! I'm in. I'll keep my old one for the party crowd, but the new one will get tossed in the bag for game meetups.
I bought the square Target version and ordered the expansion from Germany. Have loved it. But... this new version streamlines the base and expansion and adds the optional outer boards. Can’t wait to pick this up!!!
Hi , Eric . I am really confused about the knockout tile, when activated each opponent must place one of their remaining dice on the tile. However if I have more than two opponents, and the maximum amount of dices on this tile is two. How should I decide which two should be knocked out
I have no interest in the expansion content as I really like the simplicity of the base game. But I may try playing my existing copy with the new rules for money distribution and adding some tokens for rerolls. The changes to the basic rules do seem like improvements!
Do you think you could easily play with 6-8 players... like as in Boulevard expansion.... if one added more different colored dice for each additional player ?
Sure, although the game will definitely be longer with the expansions since each extra player will take a little time on a mini-game or taking back a die that then gives them another turn. -WEM
I just got this version, and having never seen the original 'in person' before, I have to say the components are really neat. The cardboard is much thicker than I excpected (I had low expectations because of Castles of Burgundy) and almost everything else is pretty good. The only thing that's a bit meh is the cards, they're mini sized and have bland artwork, but hey, they're functional.
Having 2 money cards for each casino is a boring change. You could always just increase the cap to 100k instead of stopping at 50k, for instance. Also I thought that everyone rolls together each round so that everyone can see what everyone else has rolled before making your choice of where to bet. Have I been playing wrong all along?

4:44 How many times did you have to shoot that sequence to get the perfect example roll of a 3 and then a 3? ;)
Great video, thanks!
Believe it or not, that was on the first try, although I had multiple takes that didn't even get that part of that segment! -WEM
This is very useful! Good job Eric!

A great overview!
13:38 - What?! Are you sure?? - It looks more like you're getting a gray die (/cube)..

Hi Eric
When you spend a chip to reclaim all your dice. Does that also mean the dice you previously placed at a casino on a previous turn?
No! You reclaim only the dice that you just rolled. Effectively, you spend $10,000 to pass your turn without placing any dice. -WEM
When will it come to Australia?

Poker chips!! Maybe blind draw from a bag?...
For me, adding more components and complexity to this games defeats the entire purpose of it :) I will keep my old copy!

Also, the re-roll chips take some of the fun away of rolling exactly what you DONT want and accidentally cancelling out your own dice.
Simultaneous rolling make be an interesting variant, but it’s not the original rules.
