Your enthusiasm is contagious! Do babies follow their mom to learn how to eat or do they know instinctively?

They know instinctively :) once they shed their skin the first time, they hit the road.

As an AZ native, I find rattle snakes absolutely beautiful. Like all living creatures, they fill a role in their environment and deserve respect. So glad people call this rescue and they are properly relocated.
If I still lived in AZ, I would volunteer for them.

Best video EVER!! Sooooooooooooo cool! Joyous, indeed. lol.... And the only time snakes are truly "slimy". :)
How big were those brand-new babies? They seemed larger than I would have expected of neonates. The mamas must get huge right before giving birth!!
Love how excited Marissa gets when she is on a call like this. So fun to see her enthusiasm!
    You have the best crew!!

I live in South Texas, out in the country, and in my particular area the majority of our venomous neighbors are copperheads. A couple of years ago I was walking down a path made of pavers along the side of my house and I noticed a small garter snake sunning itself in the landscape mulch between the pavers and the house. About 20 minutes later I was passing by and it was still there just hanging out. I figured it must have been a comfortable spot. Next time I was passing by and it was still there. I stopped and looked at it for a second and thought to myself, "That sure is a big head for a garter snake." Then I noticed the button. It wasn't slimy, but its size had fooled me. Even the diamonds on its back looked more like circles. I put it in a cloth bag for safe keeping and started searching for mom or any siblings, but couldn't find any more.

I had a small snake in the gutter in front of my house in San Diego. I absolutely was going to pick him up. After a moment of checking him out, I realized he was a baby rattler. Lesson? Make dame sure what it is before you touch him. You put it in a bag then turned him loose. I walked away. After watching these videos, I’d do the same thing.

An interesting thing - they're actually hatchling groundsnakes! When they first come out (in some areas) they have black heads and are often misidentified as blackheaded snakes. They lay eggs in the expansion material alongside the edges of patios and it's pretty common!

Only just found your channel and i love how you educate while capturing/collecting the snakes... however I feel like it would be safer if Marissa could ask the clients to stay back while you're doing your job, especially when there are kids there. Then show them / educate them when the snakes are safely contained like Brian did in the garage.. it only takes one freak accident. Keep up the good work guys!

These people moved into their ecosystem. If they weren’t there, these homeowners would be overrun by the many disease carrying rodents. The American Southwest is one of the few places in North America that still reports incidents of bubonic plague. Granted, the plague can be treated now, but things would be worse without the snakes.
