Many of these sounders were used by other CBS-owned or CBS-affiliated all-news stations through the 1970's, including (among other) WCBS-AM in New York.

The opening sounder was used on KQV (1410 in Pittsburgh) when it was all-news and CBS-affiliated. It still is all news, but is with ABC News Radio.

These sounders were also used in Seattle on KIRO Newsradio 710.

Very nice post, Steve. I'm sure you know that the audio sounders came from the late Eric Siday, who also did the very classic ABC Radio system cues from the 60's. Question now: Do you or does anyone else out there have the Siday demo tape (s) that contained these?

And these same sounders were used in New York by WCBS Newsradio 88 from c.1974 well into the early to mid-'80's.

Hey Steve do you happen to have the sounder for the bulletins that is still in use today?

Today, I heard the news story on Newsradio 78 about the baker who refused to make a cake for a homosexual wedding. Here are my comments.
Several years ago I went to look for an apartment in a 2 flat. The owners were homosexuals who would live upstairs. I would not be comfortable in that situation and so I found another place to live not far away. But reverse the situation, if I was the landlord and I would not be comfortable renting my upstairs apartment to two homosexuals, then I could be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Yesterday I heard almost the same story-a baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a homosexual wedding is going to be prosecuted for discrimination. Something doesn’t seem right.
I see discrimination against someone because of his skin color, his religious beliefs or his ethnicity, but not because of his choice of a lifestyle.

+Bruce Sutchar This isn't a forum, this is the comment section of UA-cam. But to respond, the word "Discrimination" is defined as "The unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things." If you insist there is a word for these people "homosexuals" you've categorized them. So we have established homosexuals are a category of people therefore capable of being discriminated against. Now, why are you uncomfortable with homosexuals living above you? Could it be you fear they will do something to effect you or your life? If so you're being prejudice, and that's the definition of discrimination. If you try to justify it by saying homosexuality is a "Choice" besides being wrong, you also don't seem to comprehend that religion is also a choice, I can choose and change my religion at will. Today I'm a Mormon, tomorrow I'm Jewish, simple as that. But you say judging on that is discrimination. What was making a wedding cake for a Homosexual couple going to do to effect the bakers life? Nothing. So why did they choose not to make it? They are prejudice towards homosexuals. By refusing to do what they would otherwise do for anyone else is discrimination. Also, don't post your name and address on the internet, unless you want to face the wrath of the internet.
