"how are you going to plant crops in the sand?"
They're moisture farmers. Apparently the collect and sell water.
A proper Dune idea.
That’s a smart business in the desert
@@deving9793 In my opinion there are only 6 star wars films. The original trilogy and the prequel trilogy.
Everything Disney did with Star Wars for me at least is not even cannon.
@@fyfyi6053Oh FFS, The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and the other TV shows are great. Some better than others but still good. Sure the sequel trilogy boned it but the TV series are good and even The Force Awakens was pretty good until Rian Johnson totally fucked everything up in The Last Jedi...
Desert planet on a world in a VBinary system [2 suns ] Water is money. They run Vaporators, which condense moisture from the atmosphere.
Saw this movie in late June of 1977 at a local drive-in. It was a surreal experience watching this movie with the clear, starry night sky as the backdrop, especially during the space scenes. You couldn't tell where movie ended and where the sky began. That's something you couldn't get at an indoor theater.
There’s NOTHING better than a first time fan. The lore of this saga is incredible. Your in for the fucking ride of a life kiddo ✌🏾❤️😂
Exactly
I’m definitely excited to see what the hype is all about. I appreciate you watching
@@deving9793 all day pimp, get the next one out fast 😂
@@deving9793but Devin, I saw you watching all these films months ago?
@@eliasshaikh2065 I didn’t finish the trilogy and to be 100% honest, I wasn’t paying attention because I was to concerned about the backlash I received from not watching them in the correct order. So I said F**k and stopped early
*For those of you who have questions about my prior viewing. I totally forgot nor remember anything about the series. I only watched a few and honestly didn’t pay attention because I received so much back lash from watching in the wrong order. So now I am actually paying attention. If I miss any details or get something wrong along the way feel free to correct me. I appreciate you fam for tuning in*
Star Wars fans are some of the most passionate fans out there. So much so that we often lose ourselves when discussing it. Not saying its right or wrong, but its the truth.
Anyways, shoutout for giving it another shot.
Since you already jumped around, why not watch the movies in the order that best tells the story? You would watch Star Wars: A New Hope, then The Empire Strikes Back, and then the three prequels. You could throw the Kenobi series in there after Episode 3, and finally, watch Episode 6, Return of the Jedi. That movie wraps up the first 6 movies. If you watch 4, 5, and 6, you will see how the story ends and then go back to the beginning and be left hanging after Episode 3 because you would have already seen the end in Episode 6. Trust me, I grew up with these movies and could only see them in release order. I wish I had the chance to watch them in a different order!
Just bear with them, its because these stories mean so much to them they are just over-zealous in hoping you watch them in the right order to make the maximum impact, like how they felt. Its basically a sign they really want your reaction~
@@B-a-t-m-a-n actually @deving, just watch them in the release order, make it easy on yourself. Episodes 4, 5, and 6, then the prequels (episodes 1, 2, and 3) and then if you care enough you can go on to the sequels (episodes 7, 8, & 9). The visuals are so jarringly different, don't bother mixing and matching.
And I am SO SORRY to hear that any fans gave you crap about the order you watched in. This fandom has gotten rather out of hand these days.
Glad you're giving it another shot. Forget the haters and enjoy the films. Hope you enjoy the series as we will enjoy you watching them.
One of the best Starwars reactions I have seen. Well done
“I wonder if he was put on this planet to protect Luke?” Bro, you got it! No one else has ever said that
NOTE: R2D2 'shorty blue.' Is an astromech..a navigator. Guy can pilot just about anything, C-3pO is a language and protocol droid, effectivly a Diplomat type.
One of the best reactions - thanks! I enjoy your content!
The main difference between Trek and Wars is that Trek tries to embrace real science in our own future. Wars is supposed to be classic fantasy story telling with magic.
Should I watch Star Trek trilogy as well?
@@deving9793I would watch a few episodes of the original 1960s series first. A few episodes provide a background story some of the movies. The original series takes place in the 23rd century, almost 300 years from now.
@@deving9793 if your going to watch Star Trek I would start with Star Trek the next generation personally the movies aren’t really Star Trek honestly they tried to make it all action packed and more like Star Wars but I also doubt watching Star Trek will bring many views but maybe I’m wrong and there’s more trekkies than I thought on here
@@deving9793yes! And dune 1 and 2... But if u do Star Trek I personally like next generation the best along with deep space 9... If u like scifi it's a mandatory watch!
@@deving9793 I’d recommend starting with Startrek II the wraith of Khan, if you want to see a good movie involving the original series actors. The first startrek film made in 1979 called The motion picture is a visually beautiful FX heavy movie even by today’s standards, but it’s slow movie with a thin plot that stretched out to fill 2h23 minutes.
Note. The trench scene was inspired by the 1965 film 633 Squadron.
Ignore the hateful fans. True fans wanna see someone truly enjoy the franchise as we did and incapsulate that same excitement we had when we first seen it. I subscribed when you did the prequals. Glad your giving it another shot!
This time Im going all the way friend. Thank you for tuning in!
So true. Us nerds can get real heated about our favorite mythology and sometimes we forget our manners. Don't let them bother you. Welcome to the SW fam and enjoy the ride!
There are two ways to watch it, you are watching in the nostalgia method, experiencing them in release order.
Subscribed for this journey. New fans going through this franchise are fun lol.
14.57 Sir Alec Guiness..a Knight playing a Knight. Age 63 at time of filming.
Great reaction, very happy you dig it. I saw it the first time as a kid in the 1980s and it blew my fking mind.
I saw this in theaters with my dad when I was a very little boy. I don't remember my first viewing but he said we watched it at matinee during the weekday and ended up sitting through the next viewing. You have to understand the special effects were mind boggling to us in the 70s. I think even the original version holds up very well.
I bet they were! I’m sure nothing could compare to this movie in this in 70’s
Me too. Now I am a Sci-Fi fan like my father before me. Watching the first 2 movies (4 and 5) are my best memories of him we didn't get to watch RoTJ, he would have loved it.
Man , you are the first reactor to realize the interrogator droid had a true serum with it.
Get that algorithm over here.
First time commenter. First time subscriber. I love watching this movie with people who haven't seen it before. In a way it's like watching it for the first time. Glad you had a blast. It's one of my favorite movies.
Thanks for subbing. I hope you enjoy the journey with me
Yes he knew Obi-Wan was talking to him.

Hey Devin, that was a GREAT reaction. I REALLY appreciate you paying real close attention to the movie and get all the details because it will help you learn about how this universe works. It does honors to the movie and to the fans. We really appreciate how much you respected the movie and the fans.
Yes, release order should be the order you should be watching them Ep4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, Rogue One, Solo, Ep7, 8, and 9. Then if you want to get into the tv shows later afterwards, you can of course. Clone Wars, Rebels, Resistance, Andor, Ahsoka, Kenobi, The Mandalorian, and The Book of Boba Fett. Welcome to the Star Wars universe. Looking forward to Ep 4, The Empire Strikes Back.
Thanks so commenting and I’m glad you enjoyed my reaction. I realize that the details are important if you really want to enjoy the storyline. I’ll make sure to follow that order!
This is the way.
It only took James Earl Jones about 3 hours alone in a studio to record all his lines for this film. They were added T the end of filing. Jones asked Lucas to not list him on the credits because he believed David Prowse, the man in the Darth Vader costume deserved all the credit.
Excellent mate!👍
Zebedee from Oz. 👍
it's always fun to see you discovering new movies that we already love
C3PO is the gold one, the little one is R2D2
The best line from this movie will always be, “Luke, at that speed can you pull out in time?!”
Michael Scott: Thats what she said!
🙌🏾🙌🏾
"looks like a metal alien". I guess technically it is! lol
Hell yes. You’re gonna be on a great journey. It was hilarious when you used to say “in my goddamn living room”. Hahaha. Glad you’re watching these.
😂😂😂 Had to switch up the scenery fam! I appreciate you sharing with journey with me
They took some 30's swing music and thought, ' If recordings were found in a time capsule, how would an alien race from the future interpet it.' The 1977 Starlog magazine article was facinating.
Star wars?!?! Let's gooooooo!
"Negative, negative, it didn't go in, it just impacted on the surface." 👈 Story of my life 😒
Watching you reaction to A New Hope brought nothing but smiles to my face. Can’t wait to watch you react to Empire Strikes Back 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
You've taken your first steps into a larger world.
Glad you joined in!
We've gotten to see your personality at reactions by now and you have the perfect combination of wonder, imagination, and fun to really, really enjoy this saga. It was made for children of all ages. i'm looking forward to reliving my first time watching Star Wars through you.....and you havent disappointed!
Oh it’s gets better! So I’m on Episode 2 of the trilogy and it is amazing
T he first six i.e. the original trilogy & prequel trilogy were mentioned to be a self contained compleat story arc .
Ali g the rhe lines of a classical hero storyline but without fi elements.
i had to come back a second time. I LOVE how quick you are to figure out concepts:
-you figured out the jawas as scrappers
-han was in debt
-the concept of the "turret" in the falcon before they even started shooting
-how R2 TRICKED Luke into taking off the restraining bolt
-how R2 is an onboard MECHANIC
-Uncle Owen WOULD say the same thing next year "It's just one more season. You can go NEXT year."
54:46 I’ll try spinning; that’s a good trick.
Great reaction!!!
Really Cool
The TIE in TIE Fighter stands for Twin Ion Engine.
Getting to live this stuff again through your eyes dude - A reminder of how good storytelling used to be!!
This is a refreshing reaction. You have 5 more movies to go sir! Haha
Thanks for the reaction
6:43 😂😂😂 his character is so petty i cant help but laugh at c3p0 😂😂and your reaction to it 😂😂
Art imitating life as the actors who played C3PO and R2D2 couldn't get along in real life.
@@gregslone4874 RIGHT
Droids are common in star wars and the death star is a huge space station. The troopers on board probably dont know everyone across the station. Which is why seeing 2 droids wandering around isn't suspicious they would just assume they were owned by the Empire.
Also as the station is huge it won't have been put together randomly. The stolen plans were the blueprints used to create the station. By analysing the blueprints they could find a weakness which is why the Empire was so desperate to get them back
My guy here watching Store Wars. :D
I had to fam!
Great reaction, can not wait to see the reactions to the rest of the movies...
the skeleton was a Tatoonie creature called Krayt Dragon
❤❤😮 gotta love that science fictions stuff lol these are great movies keep watching
Will do!
Watching by the release dates is always a GREAT DECISION. since most of us saw it that way
Thats exactly how I’m going to watch them then
Jedi have telekinetic and telepathic powers.
My boy Devin G, let's get into it!
You know it’s that time fam 💪🏿
subbed homie. youre a pimp and tha channel is dope af. know some of tha comments youre making are making you way smarter than you know. youre gonna love this whole saga. keep it up my guy.
Forsho fam! Thanks for subbing
I did enjoy your reaction. The next one is The Empire Strikes Back. That's when you will be hooked, understand more and it is a great movie as well. Fun watching with you.😎🤙
This is were the fun begins
you were great and got everything right bro keep the journey love it
I appreciate it!! Thanks for watching
The voice of Darth Vader is James Earl Jones who played the main bad guy in Conan The Barbarian and played the American coach in Best Of The Best.Leia is Carrie Fisher who passed away.Han Solo is Harrison Ford who also plays Indiana Jones.
James Earl Jones? That’s the same guy who played in Coming to America😳😳
James Earl Jones, grandfather Mufasa.
There is also the TV show Andor.
In the scene in the cantina when Han and the bounty hunters shoot at each other, in the original cut Han just shoots him under the table. In the 1990's George Lucas recut it and added special effects to make it look like the bounty hunter shot first so Han didn't come off looking like a murderer. People have thrown a fit about it ever since.
You were wondering how they could plant anything in the desert. They didnt, they farmed for water they owned a "moisture farm"
Moisture farm in the desert!? If that was a real thing that would be profitable in some countries lol
Enjoyed your reaction. I think you’ll love the next one, Empire Strikes Back, even more. It’s considered by some to be the greatest sequel ever made.
Sick, sw is dope!!
This movie is still so good
I came across this video in my recommended feed. I subscribed after watching for just three minutes! I cannot wait to see your reaction to The Empire Strikes Back. #starwars #reactionvideo #moviereaction
Devin “I wonder if he’s (obiwan) put on this planet to protect Luke”
Me: 😁😁😁😁😁
Ha! I thought it was "life saver" and "Dark Vader" too back in 1978 when I was 4 years old. Great reaction! Looking forward to your next steps into a larger world.
lol.. I’m glad not the only one mispronouncing names 😂
@@deving9793 Did your mom never tell you to wash your ears? Tsk tsk ...
1977 I saw this in the theater dang I'm getting old now
Yes old Ben also known as Obi-Wan Kenobi was always been watching over Luke from afar
Obiwan became one with the force.
He is more powerful than ever💪🏿
Basically C3PO is a prissy butler type robot. R2D2 is kind of a blue collar type robot.
taking a droid into a place like that is like taking a cell phone in. It could record any kind of illegal goings on so the bartender was protecting his client base from any awareness of any authorities
The real story is……The owner of the Mos Eisley cantina family was slaughtered during the clone wars by battle droids that’s why he has such a deep hatred for droids.
Cool man is this a re-upload? I thought I watched you watch all the Star Wars movies But I’ll still watch this one.
Yeah I thought I was tripping 😂
Not a re-upload bro, I watched again and is actually paid attention this time. I appreciate you tuning in and watching 💪🏿
@@deving9793 cool cool
Seeing a picture of Luke in his farm boy outfit with a green lightsaber was new. Never seen that before 😂
😂😂😂
lmao on " Yep he's a snitch"!
Hell yea, was hoping you got back to these movies. Fuck the haters, do your thing man. Ill be here as will your other lovely fans. I have been a Star Wars fan since I was a kid, and I love watching new people experience something ive loved for so long.
I appreciate you for watching🙌🏾
Only Jedi who voluntarily "leave their bodies" disappear. Obi Wan is already gone before Vader's saber even makes contact.
@Devin this will be a fun treat, yes as it was released you want to do 4,5,6 then 1,2,3 then Id advise the stand alone film Rogue One which takes place between 3 and 4. Then you can watch the 7 and8 and 9. I appreciate this as was hoping you would do these films eventually
I was 10 when Episode 1 came out, I remember sprinting into the theater with my mom and hundreds of other fans. 1,2& 3 are masterpieces that cap of 4,5, &6. God level of movie viewing
That’s the exact order I’ll watch them in! Why were they released this way?
@@deving9793 cuz in the 70s George Lucas was smart enough to know that watching an episode of Flash Gordon or Speed Racer made you way more invested if you started on some random middle episode, it makes you want to see the entire hero’s journey. Specifically in this case it’s Anakin Skywalker. His tragedy is captivating and truly Shakespearean writing in its highest form
@@deving9793Lucas felt the best way to grab and audience was to start at mid story, he also never thought of the success which is why he owned 100% of the toy rights as he could NEVER imagine the success, and lastly he also said the technology to tell the stories of 1,2 and 3 were not there yet. Do remember star wars was a 1977 film. Lucas studios came about as George needed to create special effects for his films. They are now the leaders of special effects
@@michaelcoffey1991I think you mean Industrial Light and Magic.
THE SAW THE ORIGINAL ABOUT 10 TIMES THAT YEAR
47 YEARS AGO :)
For it to be that old, It still holds up extremely well
Please watch them in release order. Other orders are cool for a second watch.
Definitely watching in release order

Love your reactions, love your energy.
Appreciate it family! I’ll do my best to remember the title
@@deving9793 yessir I think it can be found on apple TV, Google Play and UA-cam
I'm pretty sure some one has already told you that the order is 4,5,6. 1,2,3.. 7,8,9. Rogue One, Solo. and then Andor. Honestly after 9, It really doesn't matter what order but if you want you can check Google and watch in the order of realease
There are a couple different ways to watch these-- technically endless ways if you really wanna be literal, but I'm referring to "suggested" way to take these movies in. The most common:
1) Release order (the way us OG fans absorbed them), which is 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3 (and then from there it gets messy with the newer Disney era pictures)
2) "Chronological" order, which is all six in order-- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
3) "Machete" order which is a relatively new way to take in the story that includes the prequels, but at a time in the story where it makes sense-- 4, 5, 2, 3, 6 (eliminating 1 completely)
The first way preserves most of the "surprises" and is probably a better intro to the series since it's faster paced and covers all the basics of how the Star Wars universe works-- The Force and Jedi Knights, droids, The Empire, The Rebellion, and our main characters.
The second way is a bit of a slog since the prequels (and the first one especially) are much slower-paced and can drag a bit
The third way I personally haven't tried, but it sounds like a great way to preserve the excitement, AND the surprises reveals later in the initial trilogy while still including the prequels at a pivotal point in the story.
Lots of words to say "Enjoy your journey, and I hope you find as much enjoyment from these movies as we did as kids." :)
Great reaction! Man the editing on these is getting tight! well done
I appreciate it man! Trying to give you all better content
They style of Star Wars is based on kids' Saturday matinee movie serials of the 30s and 40s, which George Lucas loved as a kid. It uses a lot of the tropes of those old adventure movies; wipe transitions, big orchestral score, swashbuckling action, quick expository dialogue, humor, romance and cliffhanger endings. These things would've seemed old fashioned and retro even in 1977 when this movie came out. The 70s were a very turbulent time and movies had become more cynical and downbeat. Star Wars was a refreshing throwback to a more optimistic time.
The old fashion adventure troupes is what give it the classic feeling
When I saw this in 1977 it was not called episode four, that was added later when the Prequels were made.
54.25 Yup. The Falcon won't fit in the trench, BUT Han can fly top cover, and bag fighters from above.
55:28 He’s saying “Can’t wait to get me a medal, yessir, don’t wanna be left out, treated like some dumb animal, hoo-ah.”
Welcome Alice, you have fallen down the rabbit hole for sure, now you'll find out how far it goes. Great reaction Devin. Love your reaction and commentary. Looking forward to watching the rest of these films with you.

The awkward conversation in the detention block was because Harrison Ford forgot his lines and improvised and they decided to keep it that way.
Yeah, 4,5,6,1,2,3 is the best order to start with. Ask the questions away, we got you covered with the info.
That's the only Star Wars movies in existence ... so why add the "to start with"?
There are other things CLAIMING to be Star Wars but they are just pretenders.
James Earl Jones does Darth Vader's voice
47:50 " IM ALRIGHT IM FIIIIIIAAHHH (FINE)" 💥💥💥💥💥😂😂😂 RIP PORKINS
I was 13 Years old in 1977 when I saw Star Wars in the Movie Theatre, the special effects were ahead of its time. The Movie was originally called Star Wars because George Lucas did not know if he would be able to make more Star Wars Movies. This Movie was renamed Episode IV when Episode V The Empire Strikes Back was released in 1980, George Lucas had started with the first movie of his middle Trilogy. That is why the original Trilogy is numbers IV V and VI, Then the Prequels are I II and III

Some planets have way more moons than just two. Jupiter for example has at least 95.
