Yeah, we are able to track space debris this large. Meteors are a bit easier because they have a long term orbit that has been tracked for, in some cases, years. They are probably just checking who it belongs to. If it's from China or Russia, they'll say so. If it's ours, they'll say it was aliens. Hahaha.
To me it looks like something entered our atmosphere and broke apart and burned up. Probably space junk or piece of a rocket we launched. Unless someone fesses up we may never know because it looks like it burned up in the atmosphere.

Don;t believe me? Just look up massive tsunami off Southern Africa in the Atlantic Ocean. A object the size of New York appeared on radar and seemed to move towards the coast then disappeared. Hours later a massive tsunami hit the coast of South Africa right where it was headed and several ocean buoys went dead and one....Dropped 6,500' in minutes then slowly returned to the surface. I;m sure it was all coincidences.......... That was late last year, an even bigger one exploded in the upper atmosphere earlier this year. That one could have taken out the east coast. Don;t believe me, look them up. Look up largest lightning discharge or largest plasma discharge in recent history and it was within the last year, I believe 6 months ago. It was roughly over the southern US. Not spreading conspiracies, just reciting facts. That tsunami barely made the news for some reason. Can;t be they were burying the cause?

Nothing stay in orbit indefinitely. All the Starlink satellites will be crashing down relatively soon because they are in low earth orbit where the drag is higher.

These are space debris. Meteors move much faster and are not as fragmented as that. Could be some of the recently deactivated Starlink satellites, or other satellites.
That debris resembles a failed atmospheric entry. Reminded my of Columbia back in 2003. Might also be an intentional deorbiting of some type of satellite. Whatever it is appears to have broken up.
Could it be the Falcon 9 breaking up after mission was complete? Or maybe a satellite malfunctioned after being launched from the space x rocket and fell back to earth?
