Hooray! A new video. Looking really good. Post-shading is the way to go. To me it looks less contrived that pre-shading. Bummer about the primer and paint lift on the bottom. I had the same problem when I was still using Vallejo stuff. Laying tape across a smooth surface generally didn't cause ant trouble, but edges (like the gear bays here) were problematic. I'm looking forward to the next installment Excellent job!
Thanks, Brett! Yeah, I didn’t have any problem with masking over the Vallejo primer. I’ll most likely get some more Stynlrez. Tamiya Rattle can primer is great too! Just have to go outside. Take care! Drew
Hi Drew - nice job! I use a mix of both pre and post shading. Have to say I’ve stopped using Vallejo primer, the results were so variable. Mostly I don’t use primer at all these days - just the pre shading.
