Julian Lee is quickly establishing himself as one of the most sought after and versatile saxophonists of his generation. A graduate of The Juilliard School, he is the recipient of the 2017 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award from Jazz At Lincoln Center, and has performed both internationally and nationally with a wide array of critically acclaimed artists, including Wynton Marsalis, Christian McBride, The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, and Jon Batiste.
Julian hosted the late night jam session at Dizzy’s Club in Jazz at Lincoln Center from 2015 until 2019, playing with countless of the finest musicians on the New York scene. In addition to headlining his own projects at Dizzy’s, he has played at the Blue Note, Jazz Standard, Birdland, Newport Jazz Festival, and Monterey Jazz Festival.

Mike Lee is a busy saxophonist based in the New York Area and traveling internationally. He performs regularly with the Loston Harris Trio, Nat Adderley Jr. Quartet, the Dizzy Gillespie All Star Alumni Big Band, Lenny White Quartet, Josh Evans Big Band, Oliver Lake Big Band. He has performed at many world renown venues such as Smalls, Dizzy's Club Coco-Cola, Minton's Playhouse, Zinc Bar, Village Vanguard and others.
As an instructor and clinician, Mike has given masterclasses at many conservatories and music schools. He is professor of Jazz Saxophone at Montclair State University.
His private students have won numerous awards including Downbeat Student Music Awards, Essentially Ellington, Grammy Band, Jazz Band of America, and Young Arts. His students have gone on to attend Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, New England Conservatory, Berklee School of Music, University of Miami, and Northwestern University. Mike was the first instructor and oversaw the development of the Jazz House Kids in-house classes.
In this video Mike plays a Vandoren V16 Hardrubber Mouthpiece with a V16 #3 reed and a P. Mauriat System 76 unlacquered Tenor.
