Honestly, this character's whole life seems to be endless agony. As is seen in every episode of this series, he finds himself in inescapable situations, but nobody lifts a finger to help him, not even his own children. This is a man who has been completely neglected by the rest of society, but chooses to hide the pain by claiming that this was by his own will.
I like to pretend that this Dad character is married to the Mom character Gus also plays.

This sucks, everybody knows that his kirklands aren’t waterlogged. He had taken them off because the varnish wasn’t dry. EA really needs to start appreciating the story in their games
Perhaps they were splashed while the pool was being bailed out? Relying increasingly on the player to fill in gaping narrative holes is the sign of growing laziness, how far the company behind “Pillow Guy” and “when dumb youtubers put end screen cards too early” has fallen.
@@SNottingham Well, that is debatable. Personally, I think it is more fun to piece together the story myself just to add a little extra player involvement. Also, EA is great and you should give them all of your money on really cool cosmetics that totally change the gaming experience and isn't at all pay to win. If you read the manga this is based off of you would know there was a timeskip between "My Yard" and "My Roof". It is safe to assume that there were instances during this time where his kirklands could have gotten waterlogged, possibly on multiple occasions

@@eloisecole3579 well you see the joke is that Gus Johnson aka Gums Watson, wears a shoe size of around 12 and a half for a regular day of shoe wearing. Now he found a pair of nice shoes at some shoe store that were on clearance, which is when a store is trying to get rid of some of their products so they reduce the price by a large amount as to make the product more desirable to is consumers. Now here is where the joke comes in, Gustavo states that he bought the shoes for a small price even though they are in fact a whole 6 and a half sizes too small for his feet. This is what is funny and made me laugh because of the ridiculous nature of the statement.
