I’ve been playing through the Resistance trilogy through RPCS3 and those games are a lot of fun. It’s too bad Sony abandoned the series. Insomniac pitched a 4th, but Sony shot it down because it was apparently too similar to Last of Us (despite the fact that both games have radically different weapon/enemy sandboxes, traveling across a post apocalyptic America is where the similarities end, and most of the series is set during the war). From what I’ve heard this series sadly didn’t sell super well, and that’s definitely a big part of why Sony shelved it (bad sales could be counteracted by them making a Master Chief Collection style Resistance collection for PS4/5, and PC. If that were to exist I’d want them to have quality of life improvements like bug fixes, modernized controls, restored online multiplayer, and also included the spinoffs). I like how unique the weapons feel. It’s too bad that shooters have homogenized. I miss the crazy experimentation of the 90s/2000s (one area where homogenization is a good thing would be controls. If I couldn’t remap FOM’s awful controls in game I’m sure I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I have). It’s too bad that it took Insomniac all the way to the third mainline entry to have weapons upgrade through use. That’s a great feature they should’ve borrowed from Ratchet and Clank for FOM onwards. It’s also too bad that R2 threw away the weapon wheel. The two weapon limit works for vs/co-op multiplayer, but it takes away from the identity of the campaign. Some changes R2 made I do really like is how the alt fire ammo is far more common, enemies are less spongy, the Auger can see through walls, and Nathan Hale actually talks throughout the game. Not sure which of the games is my favorite.
@@antonzee95I understand and thank you for doing this, the game can be played through the PPSSPP emulator, it has great quality, and there are versions of the game that have everything unlocked, which can make it easier to create content.
Dzięki za showcase, jeden z moich ukochanych klasyków! Mogę spytać jakich ustawień emulatora używasz do R3?
@carlofrancisco1501 Via certain .pkg file for unlocking DLC content, which also includes pre-order items. Once installed, it should respawn in certain places f.e. inside the house where you meet Tommy Dean in person.
One of my first PS3 games, great memories with it
Man...I wish we had a reboot of the saga with weapons like this in PS5!

Just platted this game. It was awesome.
Unlike R2 it can be platted, for sure.
We need a Resistance 3 remake.
Finally...
@kingwendi5010 Well...this day had to come.
Does the game have new game plus mode cause as far as I remember you don't get some of these weapons at the beginning
@lonelywolf9717 It was a cheat, that's why you saw f.e. the Wildfire in Haven.
We need a remake my friends....... And it would be better if it was of the trilogy of ps3, same for dead space
Goooood
i had 0 idea airfuel grenades were in the game, i thought only the brawler could use them.
Not suprising, considering they were a pre-order bonus.
Fantastic showcase. Is it possible to make showcases of Resistance Fall of Man and Resistance 2?
@iris_ofthestorm4260 Wait, what? They are sitting on this channel for months!
@@antonzee95 - wait WHAT???? I’m blind, apologies
Awesome, could you do the same with the Resistance Retribution weapons, please?
@phippes32 I dunno. Next year at the earliest.

I’d rather emulate old games than pay for new release games. Fk devs and publishers

Bullseye lvl 1 sounds alot better
