After John wicks wife died he became a stunt driver trying to die too so he could see his wife but he was so good at being a stuntman that he never died and always survived(because Keanu reeves plays both characters)

@@XXShadowKillz if we're gonna go on the same path as ts3 and ts2 then the person that they make look like the villain always ends up just being misunderstood and nice at the end and the character they try to portrait as the nice guy always becomes the villain late in the movie and if this is the case for the 4th movie then gabby gabby is not the true villain but bo peep or her little side kick is the real villain
The real life backstory would make sense. In that 5 years people would have been buying merchandise, in this case toys, because of all the hype of the jump. But once the jump failed people probably would loose interest and the toys would end up in antique/thrift stores. Or that's how it makes sense to me.

At the time 1:54 in the theatrical trailer there is a close up shot of a road sign that reads "Grand Basin". I'm surprised you didn't bring this up, as this more or less confirms that you are on the right track regarding this character and a potential jump.

I believe Duke Caboom is a play on Super Dave Osborne. While Super Dave was American and wore a jumpsuit and helmet of stars and stripes, he became a pop culture icon here in Canada from the late 80s and 90s. The Super Dave Osborne Show was even produced in Toronto, Ontario for the entirety of it's production and Bob Einstein the creator of Super Dave was widely assumed to be Canadian by many Canadians for decades.
Wasn't there another Daredevil named Duck Danger? If i'm not lost, I remembered that he was an underdog Daredevil and due to a fetal accident whilst performing a stunt, he had to receive immediate medical help. I believe he was still alive but he was diagnosed with amnesia.
