    That’s quite ingenious to use the daily as a long term reference journal by using the date as the ‘page #’. Love. 🌺🌺

    Hi, this was really helpful. My main issue is where to put all the ideas, new to do's etc that pop into my head throughout the day. I need a space for a "daily brain dump". So in that sense the fact that the cousin is quite big (bigger than the A6) is a good thing. And knowing that one can use any pages that don't get used for daily planning as a space for collections also takes the pressure off to fill all the pages the same way. Right now I have a weeks for scheduling and I'm using my techo as a bullet journal. But a cousin may well be in my future! I love the whole filofax system, but could never get used to the rings.

      Yes! I really struggle when I have nowhere to put my random thoughts or ideas. I've moved my day to day planning into the Weeks and need to create some sort of bullet journal or brain dump page(s) into the notes at the back. Sometimes I miss my Filofax for day to day planning, but no matter how hard I try, the rings just get in the way too much.

    Hi Em! I love how you use your planner. May I ask how you print in such vibrant colours the pictures you paste in your Hobonichi Cousin?

    I use my planner in many of the same ways, also coming from using a ring Filofax planner, but you’ve given me some new ways to use the daily pages and index them as bullet journal entries. Great video! Thanks for sharing. I’m now subscribed 😊

      I'm so glad you found the video helpful! The freedom with the daily pages just to use them however you want and not necessarily be tied to planning is one of the reasons I love the Cousin. Thank you for subscribing! :)

    Thank you! This is so helpful. I'm almost a month into my April-start Cousin and I have evolved a similar style as your daily planning with the quadrant. I have a A6 for memory keeping although I'm terrible about getting photos printed for it.

      I'm so glad! I can't believe it took me four years in this planner to decide to divide up my days like that! I have to make time for printing photos otherwise it just never gets done!

    Hi! I so enjoyed your video and was inspired by it! I know it's quite an older one now, so I don't know if you're still checking comments. If you are, I'd be grateful if you could clarify--you use all these Cousins at once? Since one way you illustrate is for collections, another for short form journaling/memory keeping, and a third for your quadrant planning, my little brain got confused! Thanks in advance for helping me out!

      Hey! I'm so glad you liked the video! I'm still uploading videos and so still checking comments! This video had a few different years worth of Cousins all shown together, so demonstrated the different ways I've used them over the years! This video has a clearer picture of how I'm currently using the Cousin: ua-cam.com/video/CPE6zOmons4/v-deo.html
      It's primarily as scrapbooking/journalling but as I don't necessarily do something scrapbooking worthy every day I use the daily pages for lots of other things - commonplacing or for collections is probably the most common terminology. The video above is a flip through of my Cousin after Q1 so you can see all the different ways that I use the Cousin all at once!

    You've got some really nice washi tapes collection! May I know where did you get them from? Especially the triangles/retro/geometric one 😬😬 thank you!

      Thank you! Unfortunately I've been collecting my washi tapes over many years, so I'm not sure where they're all from! I tend to get them from Etsy usually :)

    I am kind of curious about why you chose to use dated daily pages as opposed to day-free? (I meant the beginning January pages). I feel like, using a hobonichi notebook with cousin avec might be the option that "suits" your journal style (just by looking at how you use your pages and nothing else, please excuse me if I am assuming too much), but I am curious about your opinion (in a friendly way).

    • @lethbridgepaper
      @lethbridgepaper  2 роки тому +3

      Good question! I use the weekly pages as my main planning area, which the day free doesn't have, sadly. But I also like having the year at a glance at the front of the book that I can then use as an index that matches up to the daily pages, if that makes sense? I liked the introduction to of the notebook last year and have one in A6 as part of my work set up, but like to keep everything A5 in one book. :)
