I never heard of this movie until Christi and Patrick requested it. After watching your reaction on patreon I went and watched the movie on my own and had a blast. Thanks Christi and Patrick for putting this film on my radar.

I watched it about a week ago and told everyone to watch it. All girls said too long, all guys loved it. Watching Mrs Movies slowly wilt while Mr Movies grew more and more intrigued was psychologically fascinating with that foresight. 😂 Fun times, as always. ❤
@YukoValis lol, love to hear it! As a Chaplin and Keaton fan, I always hope more people will get back into the silent slapstick genre, cos I'd love to see more and more of these get made.
About 6 months ago my wife refused to see it, my youngest daughter (21) decided she needed to go to bed early instead, and my other daughter watched 5 minutes and noped out. My son (28) and I watched and loved every minute.
The film's estimated budget was around $150,000. Director Mike Cheslik estimated that the mascot costumes cost around $10,000, and the crew bought all of the costumes online. And it took Mike Cheslik four years to raise enough money to finance this film.
Follow up comment now to add: Saw this in Chicago twice with the director, the star, and the producer all in attendance as well as a few people in beaver costumes in late 2023 when they were doing its Great Lakes Road Show tour, and my friends and I adored it so much from day one. We're all film students to it's a breath of fresh air in the film world and it was wonderful seeing it be the Letterboxd movie of the year for the very start of 2024 during its wider theatrical releases, until Dune Part 2 came out. This movie has accumulated a pretty good cult following and it's been wonderful watching it get more and more coverage and awareness as the year went on. My friends and I even made a short ad for instagram and were recorded for their website after our first viewing of the film! (We're the Beaver Believers video on their site)
You might not read this and that’s fine but a movie I recommend is I can only imagine. It’d be a nice heartwarming tear jerker for the channel I think if you haven’t watched it. Enjoying the content!
