I think for it’s intended purpose, this is definitely the bike to have! Old school, but brand new! Back roads or around town, the GT would be hard to beat!
Jess, they weren't a thing in Europe either a few years ago. They were Indias best kept secret. But a new CEO and a new researchcenter in UK made them to what they are today. And Itchy Boots made the Himalayan famous by riding one from India to the Netherlands.
A friend of mine just bought a new Royal infield from Thottle Co in Columbus the bike is beautiful and the price is too now I’m thinking about purchasing one
A motorcycle without a TFT screen and 16 riding modes and a bunch of other useless crap and analog gauges. Why would anyone buy one of these? This is what all motorcycles should be like. Just simple and it does the job.
OK let me set the story straight, Enfield UK went out of business in 1969 and shut down in England. But the company tied up with madras motors in 1955 and licensed to produce Enfield India bikes with madras Motors as Anglo Indian company, fortunately after 1969 madras motor survived till 90s and an Indian company Eicher motors held 26% of stakes in enfield India by 1990, and by 93 held controlling 60% stake unfollowing years controlled more than 90%. Eicher changed the name from Enfield India to Royal Enfield in 1994. The reason Royal enfield is still alive is Eicher Motors, they poured millions of dollars in the brand, in process owning UK Harris performance, opening state of the art tech center in Leicestershire UK and Chennai India.
Thank you so much for this video! In the 30's and snowing in S. E. Wisconsin today. Starting to think spring will never arrive! You brought me out of the doldrums, thank you so much! Eagerly awaiting the next video. Have a great time.
I love Royal Enfield. They have come a long way. I want the INT 650. Handlebars come back more and should be more comfortable. Thanks for riding all these different brands. I've had some Harleys and now want something simpler easier to handle and fun. Not to mention the great prices and warranty they have on these bikes.
You giggles and laughs are very infectious.Instantly kick-starts Good vibes and Positivity in people. Just one fact about Indian bikes. 3 Indian bike companies HERO, TVS, BAJAJ literally wiped out 180 Chinese 2-Wheeler companies from the whole of Africa. And I would definitely like u to test ride the Interceptor on a highway. Keep spreading good vibes and keep riding the wind.
Welcome to Savannah, my home now, I left Tennessee about a year ago. Angel Oak on Johns Island, South Caroling is the oldest oak at 400-500 yrs old. The one in Savannah is 300 yrs old and there is one in Thomasville, Ga., my hometown, called the Big Oak that is 328+ yrs old. All massive in their own rights. Thanks for the tour. Be safe, have fun.
Royal Enfield is a biggest indian motorcycle brand after Harley Davidson Today Royal enfield launched their new motorcycle classic meteor 650 after success of classic 350
The forward lean doesn't look very aggressive at all. On the freeway without a windscreen the air pressure keeps weight off your wrists making it just perfect.
I own a '21. You need to relax your grip to avoid wrist fatigue . Your arms should be relaxed like you're playing piano. To accomplish this squeeze the tank w/ your knees and your arms will then automatically relax taking the weight off your wrists.
I've had the GT for 18mths now. I added a few bits, new mufflers the loud kind, new levers, new tuner, fly screen, bar end mirrors, single seat and a tail tidy. She's a great little bike but not for long distance rides.
At some point you should ride one on a good country road with some Twisties. The bike shines so bright with that environment. I have an Interceptor 650 and it's brilliant.
Looks like you and Ol' Man Ronin had a blast on the GT. I own 2 RE's, a 2021 Himalayan and a 2019 Interceptor, both purchased from Throttle Company. Love the bikes and the company! Since I'm a relatively new rider, I don't have anything else to compare them to but I prefer simplicity. Looking forward to seeing you ride the Classic 350.🍻
Viewing from the UK. Have been riding for 40 + years. Now have additional bike, Himalayan, beautiful machine. Have had Triumph Bonneville 865 SE for 5 years, the RE Interceptor is as good at a lot lower price. RE are selling shed loads of bikes in Europe; back to basics, engaging motorcycles. RE CEO was 26 when taking the position, got the best engineers, made the heavy investments needed and are now kicking ass.
I work at a dealer that sells them. They have very intensive maintenance schedules, can get expensive, other than that a lot of people really like them. Cheap bike, routine scheduled maintenance can get expensive, especially if you ride a lot of miles. Example: 1st service is 300 miles, manual calls for 3 hours. Changes all the fluids, check the valve clearance, clutch gets checked for slippage, it’s a pretty intensive service. A customer told me these are the Harley Davidsons in India, they are very popular there.
I guess I am in the minimalist group. I have a Sportster 1200 and I am quite happy with it. However, there are days I am tempted to get a Road King. Still a basic bike but on the tour chassis with hard bags. Have fun on two wheels! Later!
My first bike was a Royal enfield classic 500. I have mad respect for these bikes, they are wonderful and classic machines. One of the best looking bikes in my opinion. I love that they invited you to there new launch event.
Test rode a Rocker Red same as Ol Man Ronin. Now can't stop thinking about it even though I love my Himalayan that got me back on a motorcycle after 30 years. If it's still around in a few days, I will get it! If not, then a British Racing Green. FYI; Conti GTs don't come with centerstand like the INT 650, but you can easily add one.
Thanks for the tour of Savannah! The Continental GT is a beautiful bike. It would be fun to have one in the garage just to get on and ride occasionally, no bells and whistles! Thanks Jess for a another great Vlog. By the way, there was plenty of pups 🐶 out that day! Lol…. Ride safe!
Not sure if you get the interceptor over there, but it has different bars which are kinder to the wrists. Add performance pipe and air cleaner and these bikes sound amazing.
Love seeing you on all the motorcycles and going to rad places. I’m glad Royal Enfield is gaining traction. Had mine for about 8 months and really did enjoy it.

Hey Jess, great vid !!!! The major oak (Robin Hood Oak in Sherwood Forest Nottingham England is estimated to be about 1000 years old.) About 25 miles from where I live !!! 😀

Good video! This bike is a single cylinder right? If so in town it was probably perfect. I would like to know if you took it on the highway and what do you think in terms of power and keeping up with traffic. Also, the Royal Enfield the is not the cafe racer I think GT did you ride that and if so I would like to know your thoughts and preferences. This was and maybe a bike that I would look at but kind of concerned about the horsepower issue althogh I am not a speed freak but power is necessary for highway riding where I live. Thanks
Great Vid! Would you please tell me how tall you and what’s your inseam? Thank you, I’m 5’3 1/2” w/28” inseam and wonder how I would fit on the Bike. Cheers from Salem, Ohio.
I bought a Meteor in the beginning of January and have enjoyed every mile I have done on the bike. The bike is a less is more bike no it isn’t fast but it is simple and cheap to own. Royal Enfield have gone from a left field choice to a contender in the UK with the Meteor and the interceptor being some of the biggest selling bikes here . I have to admit I really like the bike and apart from a couple of easy to fix things (the tool kit which is utter tat and brakes in the wet which will most probably be fixed with new pads) I couldn’t be happier with it.

I did! I wanted to test UA-cam to see if posting times actually mattered. (I made a story about it over on my instagram) turns out…. Yes… yes they do matter 😅 thank you for watching earlier! 🥰
Ok 👌👍
Can I say both? They each have nice things to like about them. If I had unlimited funds I would probably have a hundred motorcycles.😅
I love Savanah, GA. Enjoy the sights. Take the ghost tour. It will not disappoint you get a drink at The Warehouse on River Street.
The trolley tour guide was pretty cool!
It was soooooo interesting!
Crazy to see you riding in the city I live in. 😂
I actually like the videos of you bumpin’ around a town.
Me too! 🥰
Looks like a fun bike.
Hey Jess, I told you on one of your first live podcasts that it looked like you were going to need a larger garage! Lol Stay safe out there.
