Ecoboost fast engine and fun to drive. But, problems they have and how fast they end up in the shop for repairs. 23k miles on my ecoboost, oil leaks and fuel dilution is crazy when changing oil. Fast and fun to drive = problems and worse reliability. Look at the rocket, Fast and one time life. Look at Nascar cars faster than any Raptor, but every race engine rebuild.
Ok forget my previous comment, didn't watch video all the way threw. But,yeah hemi burns fuel like crack, but you don't buy truck for the fuel economy. Raptor has speed but thats about it,PW in my opinion does everything else better. Eric Estep the Trx is pushing 100k. Can pick up a raptor for 65k-75k. Just depends on the options. I’m not a huge ecoboost fan but I do trust them over a hemi anyday
Best part about the whole truck is the Suspension and the way the exterior looks. Other than that, it’s too wide, Interior ergonomics aren’t the greatest, Engine is a nightmare to work on and unreliable to my standards, Engine wiring plumbing has a lot to be desired. What is comes down to is, there’s trucks that can do everything this truck can do besides jump a curb at 60 Mph, and do it cheaper, more reliable and with better insurance cost and MPG’s and it’s easier to park. Just my 2 cents from literally 25,000+ hours 1.2 Million + Miles driving pickup trucks alone, not counting cars and Commercial trucks. Wish I had a neighbor like you Paul, I like to get down to the nitty gritty of things that most people don’t talk about when it comes to vehicles.
I had an ecoboost before my Cummins and all I will say is don't do it! Fuel dilution is an issue and they require constant maintenance. I was changing plugs every 25k due to cracked plugs, but it would scream when tuned hot for 93
Love my tremor 1ton 7.3 great truck so far and pulls like mad. Hook up 10k and tow at 70mph love it

Agree. Twin turbo anything is twice the chance of stuff to go wrong.
I have a 16 Ram 1 ton. I dont need to tow anymore and highly considering getting a new Raptor.
Why not Ram Power Wagon?,its a gasser ,not a sports truck but it does it job when it has too. Beats raptor in everything except speed

The new trx has left the raptor way behind. The trx is the baddest truck on the planet stock truck that is. Absolutely amazing with the super charger!
