I know this was like a 1yr ago but im so glad i saw ur video i just try it on my lg phone n man this was like so super easy doing this at home u saved me money thank u so much like totally big thanks 👍
This is the best & safest way to remove the glass. A few mins ago, I was trying to use a toothpick and credit card and the glass was chipping everywhere. I was worried I was gonna get a small shard in my hands. So I looked up another way, and this was great. I just used a business card of thick cardstock. I heated the screen protector using a hair dryer with both the toothpick/credit card and business card methods. Thanks again, worked like a charm!
This method worked for me taking a cracked Gorilla glass off my Kindle Fire. I used a large piece of card cut from A4 laser printing card. I found it important to work slowly and persistently, allowing time for the glue layer to relax. Do also note that the Gorilla glass itself can break easily making very nasty splinters.
Brilliant!! I’d seen videos of warming the screen with a hair dryer, using toothpicks, etc. Frankly, they all looked a bit more complicated than I was up for. Your method is fast and couldn’t be easier!! Thank you so much!
Don't say failed mate, i used to say the same about my old phone repair business because it didnt end how i wanted it to. I learned a lot in the time i had it and served my community well, i bet you did the same. Treat it as a stepping stone to your next adventure! ❤
LEGEND! Super easy. Thanks for this. Once I knew where you were going with the business card idea, I found one on my desk and had removed the protector before the video finished! Terrific.
I like the business card idea, but I found something close to it, was still struggling and my wife took my phone and pulled it off with her fingernails instantly. 🤷♂️ Thankfully it didn’t crack my phone, but I wouldn’t chance it again. 😂
I had one that was glued solid. Tried ALL the suggestions on here, but at best I chipped away at a few corners. Eventually I tried a new Stanley knife blade, kept it flat and slowly slid under. It worked a treat and didn’t damage the phone screen.
You’re an absolute legend. Been trying for a week a least with bank card and hair dryer. This only took me 2mins to get the rest of the screen protector off. Thank you for this.
I removed it with my fingernail, I removed it very carefully and like swiped it to all sides until it was safe to completely remove it. (I don’t recommend and I was super scared as this is a 11 Pro Max, please remove the proper way!)
I REALLY REALLY WANT TO THANK YOU FOR THIS! I'm struggling to remove the factory screen protector on my cellphone and I am very worried because it was sticked too tight and I might scratch the screen for using sharp tools. This is a very big help. Thank you again for this video
This worked like a charm - thank you for posting this - so much easier than using a craft knife, which I was scared to use, but the business card did the trick and it was so easy - thanks again!
Short and to the point. Worked great. Had moisture under the protector, used a business card and it came right off. Cleaned moisture out and replaced it. Thank you much!
This video is a month old now, but I’m currently rocking a paper-like silicone screen protector. I was looking for something recent and this was helpful. Thanks!
Thanks, that worked for me in about 30 seconds or less! Started at the corner with a business card. Came right off so Kudos to you. I was even using the phone on speaker while I did it an the other person was unaware. : ) This fixed the cheap glass screen protector that had cracked.
So the protectors do crack? I got a free phone from Boost last year because of the 5g bs. I have had it hit the floor, but the screen protector looks cracked but the phone image is nice.
Mine was far from easy using this method. The screen protector cracked on the outside and plastic particles were going everywhere and got some in my eye. The screen protector had a plastic inside layer too which made it stick. Please add a note about different types of screen protectors and what to do when the screen starts crumbling.
A brilliant, concise, no bullsh1t video, which is more than I can say for the useless AmFilm screen protector that shattered from a two foot fall, in a protective Otter8ox Defender case. They claimed the poxy dust remover strips supplied, could lift the screen. Sh1t me they did. Your technique worked like a dream. Thanks so much Mr. Norville Rogers, or Mark from G-Force!!!! Transmute!😎
Wow, I wish I would have seen this 20 minutes ago. My tempered glass completely shattered and I stabbed myself 3 times while taking the tempered glass off my iPhone !
Thank you! I just used an old school picture from the broken card because I don’t have any business cards with me LOL, gonna go get a new protector tomorrow!
I have beeb living a lie- I just used my fingers (which make my screen protector nearly break in half) My screen protector is now broken but at least now I know how to (actually) get it out so that I could purchase a new one. Thanks!
👍🏻😎 Awesome!!! Job well done & worth the click!!! I see why you're #1 in the line up on this subject! Did you think it up yourself one day? Clever clever 👌🏻 Easiest method by far, I have plenty of business cards and no razor blades or other sharp, crackling props involved that make you worry you're gonna end up with a glassy sharp mess ripe for cutting one's self!!! 👏🏻 Bravo!!! ☺️ New subscriber, I love a guy that's useful!!! 🙏🏻
First vid I found when trying to figure out how to easily remove the screen protector that was driving me nuts... and it absolutely worked without any problems!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! 🥰
If you’re from the uk or anywhere else that uses plastic notes, use one of them, they are brilliant, but make sure they are smooth with no creases, as it could cause them to tear
Thanks! This seems like the best way to remove a screen protector with minimal risk of scratching your phone's screen. Great video btw. Straight to the point with no annoying background music. If you don't have a business card handy, you can use a piece of cardboard stock copier paper. Also, Amazon now sells cases with built-in screen protectors. I just ordered one. I hope it works ok b/c I hate applying screen protectors. I can never seem to apply them smoothly with no air bubbles trapped underneath. (LOL).
This actually worked. FYI I placed a small pin (I guess a thin needle or toothpick would work too) to start it off. Then the business card to continue removal process FYI those screen protector from five below suck!!!
Thank you very much. Just amazing. You will not believe for how long I was trying without luck. I saw your video and the result was perfect. Thank you so much.
4/21/23 Sorry, but I'm a skeptic. Not really sorry but I am by nature and thanks for this easy solution to what I had complicated mentally. I need to take my phone in for a warranty exchange and knew the store guys would give me grief over having a hairline crack. I didn't want to be given any excuse not to get swapped out.
Thank you so much for this! I tried this with a birthday card. It’s a little bit sturdy but thick enough like the business card so I was able to remove the glass without damaging my phone’s screen 😊
Omg thank you for this video! I literally had glass in my fingers and a bleeding cut because I tried to pick on it with my nails! 😭 Found myself one of these cards and it worked like a charm! Lol in a few years we'll have to look really hard for these cards because nowadays people just share the insta or something 😂
Magic the gathering cards work great as well. Got the idea from your video bc I didn’t have any business cards lying around but it worked perfect thanks!

I concur with all the great comments! Fantastic job! Thank you for making my life a wee bit easier! I count all the wee bits cuz they definitely add up!👍
Thanks for the help and helpful tips! This was my first time removing a tempered glass screen protector from my android device to replace with a new one and your video helped me tremendously! In turn I shall smash that like button like it owes me money and recommend your video to others along the way!
So scared I my have cracks in the lower left corner before removing the screen protector. Is is possible to repair the glass with resin or E-6000 glue? TIA 😊
Tinker Man Mick, your info did the trick on a new A32 G5 I am returning. The screen is not Gorilla glass and have seen videos using razors and did like it did not want to scratch the screen, your is the best way Thank you.
Great instruction! I'll try it later. My phone got dropped on pavement and the screen protector got a hairline crack through it. I wasn't sure how to get it off without damaging the actual phone screen or using a hair dryer. Heat on smart phone didn't sound like a good idea.
damm bro i remove my tempered glass with my school id and i thought i was over bc i just see a freaking massive crack on my screen and i was so fucked up until to the end i cant belive it i made it on i removed tempered safely sucsess phew
Wow this is so helpful because I just cracked my screen protect when the screen protector is off the screen was broken😢 But you can also use a card Thx

At first I was like “dang, this dude is the real Shaggy!” Then halfway I noticed you had Scooby and Shaggy in the background. 😂

Hello to my newly butchered screen. It was already too late when the idea of "having a bit of research" first came into mind.
I removed it with my fingernail, I removed it very carefully and like swiped it to all sides until it was safe to completely remove it. (I don’t recommend and I was super scared as this is a 11 Pro Max, please remove the proper way!)

Sir, You are a Legend.Thanks
I watched a couple other videos on safe screen protector removal. This one is decidedly better. Thank you!
I would like to add, I used the instruction card from a deck of playing cards. Perfect thickness!
Use a hairdryer on it to loosen the glue on the screen protector, then remove it.
