About Me: I am a 27-year-old musician from Long Island, New York. Coming up on 8 years as a professional in the industry, I have released over 135 songs I am constantly releasing more. My most recognized song is "I Need the Sun to Break" with over 850,000 streams on Spotify.
In my best month to date, I had over 60,000 unique monthly listeners on Spotify. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the song is about them being sick of lies. The line “If I write a song preaching what is wrong, will they let me sing on TV?” might be a way of saying how the truth is often times censored by the big shots of the entertainment industry.
The many parts where they say “Used to keep it cool” or “Should I keep it light?” express how in the past they were fine with all the lies that they were being “served”
The chorus talk about how they are going to reveal everything that was hidden, therefore “We gon’ burn the whole house down”
Then at the end on the “Should I hang my head low, should I bite my tongue or should I march with every stranger from twitter to get sh*t done…” is them reflecting on how many times they have been told to shut up an just go along with the lies, even though they are indeed lies.
Of course this is my interpretation so please tell me if you agree or write down your own interpretation :D
