- Holes is one of the purest kids movies of the 2000's. Orignally released in 2003, Holes stars Shia LeBeouf and follows his character Stanley Yelnats as he sets out on an adventure to rid himself of a family curse, learn some lessons, and make some new friends!

Shia really did a good job of showing stanley still holding on to his innocence, unlike the other kids. He's not stupid maybe naive. But hes a fighter, he's got a huge heart and still holds on to a big part of that innocence by the end
I think it also helped that they stuck to the book other than Stanley supposed to being overweight and then losing the weight when they get back. They pretty much did the book scene for seeing
Ngl, you have the best intro narration ever.
I really hope you get the chance to interview Dulé Hill! I remember watching Psych and having the slow burn of not knowing where I knew him from!
I haven't thought about this movie in a long time, and this really brought me back. What a good film. I definitely need a rewatch. Great review
All except the CGI which was dated even for the time, otherwise such a good movie.
I loved Psych!!!! Named my first car Jules 😂 lmao
Nice!
So good dude!
Weird seeing a reference to the movie Dan in real life. Saw that movie in theaters and completely forgot all about it until I saw your channel....holy shit time flies
Yep, 20 years!
The onion thing is an old people thing, my grandfather would do it with white and green onions all the time when I was a kid. I do it now, people think it's "odd"
Idk about you, but i always felt that there was some link between the judge and the camp, like he would get a kick back if they ever got the treasure
Yeah, I definitely remember thinking that!
The onion was an apple btw!
I watched this movie again this year with a group of grade 6 and 7 students. They loved it. The only part I don’t really like is the Eartha Kitt as Madam Zeroni “heebie jeebie” sections (though she was great at it) and I find Christian audiences usually have a problem with the being cursed concept. Really well acted, funny, gritty, and a stellar cast.
