    Hey, just a bit of info for someone putting on a box like that. Be careful the first time coming across a railroad crossing. It's possible for the box to drag across the high point of the road, where the tracks cross. The box will go over the tracks BEFORE the trailer axle will begin to lift the trailer. The best way to this is the bottom of box is above or the same as the bottom of trailer frame. I really can't tell from the video if it high enough. Just saying, cause we have seen those trailers with mangled boxes or bracket- no box. Safe trip drivers

      A suggestion for your tarps . You can do one more fold before rolling it and it would make both tarps fit better. I used to have one toolbox on my trailer and i was able to fit 2 8ft drop tarps , 60 bungee cords , 16 4 inch straps and 20 1ft edge protectors.

    The preternatural genius of Super Trucker Dan. It is actually art, God love you. Stay safe. Blessings to all your followers, too. Here up in Seattle, worst air in the thirty years I have mostly lived here. Last two or three summers were far worse, but this particular episode is quite intense, and epic in its concentration (intensity not duration). Most walking outside now, are wearing masks. Trust me on this. It is not covid, real as it is, but intense haze. Really bad. Now wearing mask in car, not just goen into store.

    Nice to see some body that takes the time to organize their boxes on their trailer. I know guys that have 4 boxes that size and when you open the door half the stuff falls on the ground or they have to empty half the box to find something. The one thing you should look at getting is a rack for your dunnage to get it out of the landing gear braces, and yes a 4th tool box would balance it out nice, gets all your gear stored away nice. Keep up the good work.

    A trick from a machinist of 35 years, squirt a bit of WD-40 on the drill bit and aluminum when drilling and it will NEVER stick to the tool. Also works on a belt sander/disk sander and sawing. WD-40 is just the wonder lube..... Thanks for the great videos!! Keep them coming!!

    Can never have to many tools as a truck driver,was looking at how your chassis rails run on your truck ,and I wonder why heaps of people don’t have tool box’s that roll along on the bottom side of the C Channell ,I think it would help if you needed to shift weight but couldn’t shift the load at all ,once it was loaded with what ever ,I know here in Australia sometimes would be handy ,especially if you had all your chains in a tool box like I do ,not on a headache rack.tool box full of chains is a 300 lbs +.maybe ask Dorsey if they wanted to set up a prototype.i have never seen one done but would be keen to see it in action if some one has one.may be a bit harder to set up for I drop deck like I have though.

  • @jameshassel5838

    If you put alot in there. Get some angle iron an bolt to your brace an put 2 acrossed the bottom for support.

  • @timharris9576
    @timharris9576 4 роки тому

    Now you need a timber box to go across under your main beams totidy up those landing legs like we use here in Australia. A hinged door either side and big enough to fit a dozen or so bearers 👌👌. Very simple to make and the safest way to carry them.

    my storage space was mainly for my liquids, steering fluid, windshield fluid, radiator, and the fluid additive for winter. also grease, as i used a paint brush to keep the 5th wheel slick. oh and my 5th wheel lock, one heavy sucker, kept my fueling gloves in there too. on other side were my rags. use to keep my gloves below my seat, but after awhile the fuel fumes tend to get to you. i use to have a fuel tank cover, that i made, that prevented fuel from splashing on the fuel tank, when fueling.

    Dan just a suggestion, There is space between the bottom of your flatbed and the top of those boxes for your extra tarps. you could easily fit them in between that space. The stock aluminum supports would keep them moving forward or backwards ,and all you would need is a couple of bungie cords hooked to between two supports closest to the doors to keep the tarps from falling off the sides.
