A lot of people write in the comments how Alter short films are better than feature length Hollywood movies (and I agree). I've seen replies saying that it's because "shorter movies require less thought" and things along that line. I want to post what I had commented to someone else who commented as such. A shorter story doesn't mean less thought goes in to it. Telling a complete story from start to finish in a limited amount of time is an art form. Whereas longer movies get more time to develop things, a short story writer has to be really precise with what they showcase. Which means every choice is deliberate and was weighed with great thought and care. I think one reason people find newer horror movies to be lacking is because the budgets are big and rely on the ability to just draw out shock and terrors, but forget the story telling art in the process.

Because it's easy to make a short film that doesn't require character development, a long story, and so much more that a long film requires

AINT shit krazy skary bout they videos they good but don't overdo it
I love the effect of her waking up a dreamer and then she wakes up from one. Clever 😊
The first thing to do when you see your main door unlocked is to call the cops to check your home but no...not in horror shorts... in horror shorts you become a killer ninja and start going around the house looking for an intruder with a knife !!! Ufff !! What a brave woman !!!
Damnn!! My heart almost left me at the end. I cldnt handle all those jump scares and darkness. Horror at its best!
A dead head staring at you on all fours like an animal😱😱😱😱
It's the first time that a short horror film scared me so much, jesus christ
TRiCKz welcome to alter
Well this was actually horrifying. The slow tensions were genuine heart-pumping moments. I now wish this was longer for more backstory. Great Job, Oliver Park...It's been a long time since I actually almost retreated to the comments.
11:22 dude it just sitting there staring was even scarier than when it first appeared. love it when horror films do that, it's so deeply disturbing when the monster is just standing there...MENACINGLY.
No way I am saying HELLO...i just call police and wait across the street😅
I love horror but Alter takes it to a completely different level. This is the stuff of nightmares.

Wowww this is very scary... the ambiences just match and on point
If some goblin woke me up in the middle of the night like this I would be so annoyed. Some of us gotta get up early for work! Get a job you goblin bum!
A few years ago, a goblin woke me up many nights in a row with its snorting and grumbling. Then I got a divorce and now I sleep great.
What if his job was to wake you up
His job is killing you lol
@@rageagainstmyhairline5574 Just call Goblin Slayer
LITERALLY THE BEST HORROR MOVIE EVER MADE!!!!
Exceptionally well done - great atmosphere, music, cinematography and acting - take a bow!
Who else’s has there heart beating the whole time
👇
My heart is beating because I'm alive, it's normal 🤣😂
If anyone doesn't, then they're in big trouble... Or a vampire or zombie or something.
All of us...I hope.
Yee yeee
Yes my heart was beating the entire time! It’s only if it stops will I worry.

this girl really prefers dying than wasting electricity-
Binge watching this channel at 3am probably won’t go down as the finest idea I’ve ever had but holy shit you guys could teach Hollywood a thing or two about horror.
Thanx alter for making such thrilling horror meanwhile pure real short movies
that was absolutely horrifying, had me on edge the whole time, great job!
People die
Beauty fades
Love changes
And you will always be alone
Not me..the voices in my head tell me I'm ever so beautiful I'll live for ever and they will never leave me( the voices in my head that is) shhhhhhhh I'm trying to do something....shhhhhhh!! I said see, they wont ever leave me ......... :)
@@PennyMsElite agreed!!
Gomez Gomez mayb ur voices an mine cud meet!!! 😂😘
@@gj3019 they wont let me leave the house, they come to me mostly at night, they say hideous things to me,they know I'm talking to you............I have to go!!!!!! 😂😉
Funny thing is that I’m polytheist I’m never alone 🤣
Living alone must be the scariest thing in the whole world!!!
not really unless you're house is big and haunted
I don't need a super huge house. It can be scary. Heard stories of people living in walls, basement or attic. And they were not discovered for months to a year
Don't mind me.. Am just hiding here in the comments
the knot in my stomach i had during the laundry in the chair scene… i felt as if i were there experiencing it for myself. one of my worst phobias! and then everything from that point on was the stuff of nightmares. you could feel the tension and dread through the screen. excellent film!
This was excellent. Good jump scares, effective antagonist and decent pacing. A few minor nitpicks aside, I look forward to seeing this director in the future 👍
By far the best and most terrifying short film I’ve ever seen.
Everything she did is what I wouldn’t do. F that
I almost said “Nope!” when she was crawling across the bed. That last scene was the first time I ever yelled at the site of a horror movie jump scare. Now I need to go watch some Pitch Meeting to wash this out of my brain so I can get to sleep!
Bravo!
Nah that's crazy when you get locked in from the outside of your house 😂😂😂😂 Love It
In a way this could almost be a sequel to "Armoire"
"Hello?"
"Yeah I'm in the kitchen! Want a sandwich, my only love?"
i really liked this. Exactly my type of horror. Suspenseful.
Don't know why it works BUT sleeping with a flash light and putting a sheet over my head helps everytime I'm creeped out even after 30 years😅
This is one of my favorite horror short films ever, and it's funny because I actually just thought about this very film lately, as I've remembered it from a movie with a compilation of short films I watched years ago (can't remember the name of the movie though).
And just like everything else I think about, the universe has this funny way of bringing those thoughts to reality. If not, I honestly don't know where I would have to begin looking for this film to find it.
I need to watch this again tomorrow morning.
I finally got my sister hooked on this channel now she loves yall💞💞🤣
I'm so glad I am watching this when the sun is up!
That was bloody well done. ✅✅✅
i love how they grab a knife and act like they can stab the anomaly
I’d rather have a knife than NOT have a knife.
I have watched A LOT of horror shorts on this and other channels, while most are entertaining, few are genuinely scary in my opinion. However this one definitely was!! Well done, from the lighting, to the camera angles, to the FX makeup...all around great job.
This concept and premis just wow... Make a long version and show on theatre will be give new color on horror genre... Pretty scarry especially for ambiancess; really expensive treatment
For Me it's 92/100
Oh wow wasn't expecting to get that scared 😅😅 love these short movies
As scary as any horror feature film I've seen in a while. Well done!
Light off: Monster there
Light on: Monster gone.
Well, lets sleep in the dark 🥰
Please enable auto close captioning or subtitles for your deaf audience. I enjoy your videos that have cc so I can understand what's being said. Thank you.
Alter has the best horror content - great script, excellent actors, excellent direction, and very relatable setting. I am a huge fan! 🥰

It looks like it was shot on a tiny budget, but yet it's far better than most of the mainstream rubbish currently in the cinema. Good work!
Why would she investigate??? If she’s so sure she locked the door in the morning why wouldn’t she first call the cops
11:03-11:30 The Part where my Heart stopps beating 😖😱. Well done, good Job 👍🏻
