That dam tapping noise it's stuck in my head now.
What's messed up I do that when I'm bored. What do I do now? Thinking if I start and suddenly stop, I may hear that noise from somewhere.

I thought that too
Suberb short. Really intense. Surprized ending. I thought the girl would have been okay after she got rid of the cursed thing. Smart ending.
For people who haven’t seen it and are scrolling through the comments, that is a huge spoiler ( But I agree)
Protagonists of horror movies will mostly never be ok, especially not when they get rid of the cursed object.
Why are people scrolling, looking for COMMENTS ABOUT THE MOVIE and complaining that people ruined it for them, what do you expect in comments, people talking about the weather?Lol,wth
@Dragoslav Vega, Vega short, rude & stupid - all your best qualities Drago 😏
@@aleksandrivanchenko6323 wtf is this the slav roast battle lmao😂
These are better than movies!!! Honestly, I kinda wish they had more backstory, like the “why” and “how” a demon or monster was created or why it’s bonded to a specific object or place, but either way IM SOOOO OBSESSED
I feel like Alter is so hit or miss with their short horror films, but I definitely liked this one, cool concept, not over the top with jump scares, nice storyline given the short amount of time, I really liked this one
Thanks!
I do try to avoid jump scares as much as possible.
When I heard the tapping and she started looking up from her bed, I remembered the evil thumbnail and went to the comment section .
I like how even just the tapping of fingers can be made into something creepy. o.o
I usually watch a lot of mainstream horror movies, which prove rather countlessly subpar. But this! Let me tell you the chills down my spine made me pull up my blanket at this heat. Its writers really did a fantastic job at attempting to align the narrative to true spiritual and supernatural phenomena, and only amplified it fictionally in a subtle way. Now the only problem I have is trying to stop binging these short movies and not finding success in it.
you know its a good channel when they can make a horror short film out of a piece of furniture
Why credit the channel? It's an indie film by a couple Canadian brothers.
One of the most successful short horror films! The demon is very scary and insidious!
My response to the thumbnail was “oh no… alright, I’m gonna do it.” I get myself so freaked out watching these shorts!! I love it!!
After watching the conjuring.....there's no way I would have picked up that closet....Miss.Thrifty got more than she bargained for.
Sustainable second hand furniture is better for the environment
This is why i‘ll never get any furniture from anywhere else than ikea or something
Isn't buying Ikea furniture a bigger nightmare?
Because you wo uod rather have abunch of trash? Growing up we had nothing but antique wood furniture and oil paintings and it wasn't creepy at all, it was classy and different compared to the boring simple houses my friends lived in.

There’s some truth to that 😂

I love the detail of her pulling her ear back to see the mark, because even if it is visible to us, it might not be to her.
Somebody call them Winchester boys. salt n' burn baby 👌
this whole time was like idk why im being such a bitch baby about this ive seen worse in SPN
I'd like to call the Winchester boys 😏
Yeah they're smart when it comes to demons and things they don't buy two closets when they already have one in their apartment
Boooo
Let’s gooooo at least it ain’t a leviathan 😂😂
Damn that was good...they need to do part two on some of these ,they are way better than some movies. Nice one #ALTER
I believe this was the first one or that the one here on Alter was based on this one. ua-cam.com/video/-3pC_vZCL7U/v-deo.html
Sherine p You got that right Alter has some good short films which is better than most that's why I love watching them 👌👌👌
My favorite part of the film was “Failure is an option, Fear is not” 🖤💪🏽
This is the second short film from this channel after having just seen one a few minutes ago. I'm surprised to see short films with such a production value posted to UA-cam for free.. and the view count is astounding.. how this channel doesn't receive more traffic and attention is beyond me.
Monetizing the distribution of indie short films is very difficult. Most of them are produced as portfolio pieces anyway.
@@davesnyder9052 what are the ink blotches on their face? And why would they return the dresser where they found it instead of destroying it?
@@johnnysilver5866same questions. Been looking here at the comments for the answers too.
@@johnnysilver5866 Pretty sure the idea is that once the thing - whatever being it is - gets to them, they're basically under its control, thus the kind of dead/zombie-like look in both her and the other guy's eyes once returning the dresser. The sores/blotches are I guess just supposed the be the physical manifestation of the dresser's or malevolent being's hold over them - once they take it into their home, they're "infected."
@@JET7C0 you nailed it. 👍
THE TAPPING GIVES ME CREEPY FLASHBACKS.. Back in 2013, I was sleeping in a new dorm and as I was laying in bed, the cupboard started to make THE SAME EXACT SOUND AS THIS ONE... I tried to be realistic and check behind, hoping there would be some rats or anything other than scary things.. but the tapping move to the cupboard and then in my work desk. It creeped the hell out of me, so I moved out 5 days later..
Probably a good idea that you moved out- otherwise we might not be hearing (reading) this comment from you now!
uhh don't do this to me. I had a friend in highschool who was a compulsive liar and isn't the brightest person. she wanted attention so she made up this story one day. she said that she was taking a shower in the shower cabin while she was alone in the house. she heard a loud banging on the cabin door behind her. she thought her family arrived home and her little sister is playing a prank on her. but there was no one home.
so I thought about this story like "uhh she's so full of sh1d. why is she always lying in order to get attention. it wasn't a good story either. who makes up such stupid stories to be the center of attention?"
I thought about this for months. Until one day it happened to me. I still can't explain it to this day.
now I don't have a shower cabin in my apartment. but I have cupboards and your story. thanks!!!
I think that closet reached here
There is a beetle that lives in wooden walls and furniture and it also makes clicking noises. The nickname of it is "Deathwatch" beetle, mb that was it
@@MissBophaLokei I'm sorry....but what the fuck is a shower cabin?
This is my favorite horror short s far. Brilliantly acted and shot. The shot at 10:35 is the stuff on nightmares. Great work.
Check out Asvinns (short horror). Its the scariest film Ive watched since Host (2020)
Thanks!
Yea, that shot was also the most dangerous. The armoire almost tipped over while climbing up there.
Just imagine if you went to bed and heard that tapping 😱
Thank you. I happened to just watched it and it's 12:20 am where I'm from.

actually I have only it wasnt a demon that time it was a god awful large spider with the biggest egg sac on its back I've ever seen we think it was looking for a place to have its babies it died of course
@@Homemaker-eg2he ewww omg that's just as scary as demon tbh 😷😩

The moment she saw that demon in the hallway gave me chills🥶
You pick up an armoire. All of a sudden you start hearing creepy tapping and footsteps in your house. You come home to everything you put in the armoire thrown around your room. You hear more tapping. At that point do you not throw it out your window or something?
I think it was already too late after she brought it into her home
Honestly I was like…why didn’t she talk to it?
Obviously something is there.
I’d sit down and be like…
”Either I’m crazy or this closet thing came with somebody in it….you keep tapping. You made a mess. Now I’m here talking to the room…”
Then I’d leave and not come back for a night and see what happens.
No way I’m gonna stay.
Idc if it’s a waste of money or time. My mental health matters lol. 😂
What's armoire supposed to mean anyway?
Sounds like french

Her brain: “its a free real estate”
The closet ghost: “its a free real estate”
Find it funny cause he's just up there like "hey, like what you see?" Lol
The finger taps were actually very soothing, like asmr.
bruh when the running foot steps went after her i got so scared i accidentally clicked out of youtube
I minimized the video immediately
This is the first time watching one of these movies where I got a scare out of it. When she got shoved in the chair. One of the best I have seen so far.
I love the quick shot of the hand truck like, ok, so that's how she got it home.
The footsteps running towards her with no real image was the scariest thing I literally threw my phone down
That’s okay ALTER I wasn’t planning on sleeping tonight anyway

Okay I might have spoken too soon 😂😂
This is why I tell my husband not to pick up stuff on the side of the road. Bedbugs and demons. I can't deal with either 😓
@Hagane Len I've learned that nobody is perfect and probably not going to love you the "right" way (I think everyone has a different idea of what love is). The best thing to do is to look at their character. Before I married my husband, I noticed he was financially responsible and helpful. Also, test them to see if they're willing to stay with you during bad times or if they'll put in the effort to help you. My man did so I married him. Not sure what else to tell you, but I hope you find a life partner one day (if that's what you're looking for). 😄
Even toys forbid ur kids to pick toys outside from home or any where!😢
@Almighty Sagittarius you just need money if you want a women
The bedbugs are worse.
Put all things aside. ' your husband picks stuff from roadside'?
why do i always watch freaky stuff before bed? 😭
Dunno we just loved to or were just weird ;-;
Because nothing beats a good nightmare
Because our body wants something but our mind directs it to do the opposite and does what it wants.
love the shot of him on the top of the armoire. no jumpscare musical sting. just camera cuts to him up there. creepy af
So scary when the monster sat on the closet. This is just incredibly well made. Scared me so much!!

She’s able to afford an apartment that Big and that nice in LA while she’s an aspiring actress and just moved to America. But she’s plucking ugly furniture that was tossed off the street
Maheen Ahmed her mother helped her with the first month rent. Not sure how long she’s had the apartment.
That was truly an ugly armoire. Even the creature was better looking.
In the beginning it also mentioned that her income is to be determined to signify her struggle with money.
You missed the whole part where she spent too much on the apartment to even afford furniture?
She was broke her parents were paying forever her income on the lease said TBD ( To be determined) lol
A simple note on the furniture would suffice. Like a " please dont take. Im haunted and wrecklessly evil" would do enough for me.
A part 2 would be great, at least to find out the origin of the armoire and the creature. 👍
the armoire looked antique.
