Thank you very much for this review. I'm in Brazil, and the price difference for these two mice is enormous. But I agree with you that the USB-C port makes all the difference. So, I'm going for the MX Master 3.
Thanks for this. I have been using the MX Master 2s for several years but am/was thinking of upgrading. Still on the fence. What I will say is that one of the reasons for thinking of upgrading is that the side buttons on the 2S are almost useless to me because you have to move your thumb a long way back to click them and it's easy to click the wrong one. Maybe not a big issue for occasional use, but if you want to use the mouse for some gaming and assign the side buttons, it's a pain. Was hoping the placement of the buttons on the MX3 under the scroll wheel would be a more natural movement to activate the buttons
I'd personally use the Symless Synergy software instead of Logitech Flow. It's not that expensive but is pretty reliable and also works on Linux and Raspberry Pi.
Not sure if it's just me but I have small to medium sized hands and I can't find a comfortable palm grip which I instantly find on the original MX design. It seems to be because they've carved out the part where the palm naturally sits (near the thumb side sits) that was present in the old design. This makes it feel as if the mouse is smaller and forces you to rest your hand further forward to fully grip the mouse. If not for this, i'd really like the mouse.
Ah, I've never tried the old one but I think I remember thinking the same with these new versions. After using them for so long I have gotten used to it and now cant go back 😅
I bought the 3, and I know what you mean. The palm area is "sharper" than the 2, which I was able to test against and make a comparison. However, instead of holding the mouse further up, I tend to hold it father back, anyway, with more of my hand resting against the table/pad. I guess it's hard to break about 30 years of mouse-usage habits! I do like the rounder design of the 2, but for the way I hold mice, I probably wouldn't notice much to warrant a "downgrade."
In normal settings my mx 2's middle button opens links for me by clicking it to the left. and closes tabs for me by clicking to the right. On my Mx 3s middle button. It opens the link in new tab but also takes me to the tab which is frustrating because sometimes I want to open multiple links to view later not atm. Clicking it to the right doesnt close the tab though. Anybody know a fix for this ???
MX 2S and MX3 middle button doesn't click "to the left" and "to the righ", it's just a click. It sounds to me like you're maybe pushing the mousewheel and with it clicking on the actual left and right keys...
No need to upgrade from my 2s, thank you!

I have quite large hands, and returned the MX Master 3 it was so uncomfortable, while the original MX Master fits perfectly.

Great video!
dpi means dots per inch
1:30 "...both have a maximum dpi of 400"
Are you *really sure* about that..?
4000 dpi
USB C seems like the biggest draw for the MX Master 3. That said the battery life for both means you wont be charging it all that often.
Helpful. Thanks n
why didnt you show the clicking sounds on L and R click??
Sounds the same

Mx master 2 work at adobe software, mx master 3 all button not work
It seems like the biggest advantage of the 3 is the USB C port?
Absolutely! Otherwise the differences are very small
@@EverythingPractical what are other differences in features? Much longer battery life?
Battery life is the same

stop zooming in and out, it is annoying, steady panning or slow movement is fine but this technique you are using is just annoying.
