We have the unification mod that greatly upgrades this game, thought it is for soulstorm it fixed the majority of soulstorms issues, you should check it out the mod is still being updated to this day.

God the quality of the Witch Hunter models is ridiculous, they're more detailed than DoW2 characters! This mode was made like what? 5 years ago? and it's still of higher quality than most professional games today.
CatroiOz hhaha maaan a way more old. I think it's about 8 or 9 years old!! An awesome work was done with some new pvp maps also! Very gothic-ish atmosphere how true 40k should be (and like the campaign of dow and winter assault were). Very detailed textures, grim filters and smoke, broken vehicles, imperial propaganda, and also dwells of daemonic light, sacrificed people, corrupt lands etcetera etcetera. I found that dark crusade and soulstorm both lose this atmosphere, except from Orks, Tau and Necron Bases levels (dk only). All matches are in deserts, jungles, snow, maybe you find a couple of very anonymous buildings.. pretty boring. Of course i really enjoy this small art surplus, maybe someone else just want to play the game. But the guys of this patch have done a very dedicated and gorgeous art work (they also added meltaguns, creating a "typical burst", never seen before). Check it!

Wow this is insanely intense. Having all of the PC DOW and DOW II games, i always felt the DoW 2 is a bit lackluster compared to its predecessor. Is this a single mod that adds all the races shown at the end of the video or is it a combination of mods ? If that would be a single pack, that would be pure awesomenes. Would be hardcore as hell if the mod had a custom campaign of a sort.
MyrdinAnnoth It's a combination of mods but unfortunately, there is no singleplayer except for the skirmish mode, of course. However you can wait for the Darkness Within campaign (on moddb.com), that's likely to come sooner or later.
theres a mod that gives you about 5/6 extra unit types in each category !!! ie tanks, infantry, artillery ect. its a bit much tbh. heavy weapons teams and specialised teams for space marines and imperial guard. vehicle cap and squad cap increases to double. pretty hectic and unmanagable

And this reminds me of Relic's annoyingly unbalanced armies. The Chaos, the most devout followers of the Dark Gods and Daemons are the largest threat to the universe, with the power to swallow entire worlds and destroy galaxies, they are truly feared by all... ...but they're one of the shittiest armies in DoW, and it pissed me off because I love Chaos.
Chaos is the only true answer, you fool. One day, Daemons will spew forth from the Warp, and you will be nothing but a cider. (But Chaos is really bad in Dawn of War)
Now that's a video that truly honors this great game. I especially enjoy the focus on IG Joe and his pals, for IMHO those dudes are the most fun to play (although I love those sneaky xenos called Eldar, too).
All of the maps had their light conditions modified to offer better graphics fidelity when used with the depth of field mod by Boris Vorontsov. The maps also contain custom dust and ash particle FX created by myself, which may be released as a mod in the future. The custom maps were not made for this mod and are available on dowfiles.
This is the TRUE Warhammer 40k game for the pc. They've tried Fire Warrior, Space Marine, Carnage, Space Hulk, Storm of Vengeance and they even tried to remake DoW in DoW2. While these are good (mostly), nothing will ever compare or even come close to the the original DoW and I would hazard a guess that nothing ever will. LONG LIVE DAWN OF WAR, LONG LIVE WARHAMMER!!!

Suddenly I remembered the countless hours I spent modding this game (and modding the mods to work well with each other)......... nothing else existed during that time.
I don't know what it is, but something about Steel Legion Rough Riders makes those models seem completely badass....if only they made them in real life.

The camera.lua file located in the mod/data directories had to be tweaked. The file is now available in the video description.
The Steel Legion mod is well made, but their stuff sucks so much, and I hate their gun sound effects.
