I stayed at one of the modern cabins last year. They are fully equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and living room furniture. You can do nightly stays in the off-season.
What an Awesome State Park! Glad you were able to go to this state park,. I was kinda missing these kinds of videos, Hope you can go to a few more before the weather changes:) I will be looking forward to more if your are able to:)
They better be! That's one thing I like about PA are our wonderful state parks. I tried to visit a state park in Maryland years ago and they wanted me to pay to enter. Pass.
@WallieB26 PA is one of only a handful of states that have a constitutional amendment for the state parks to be free for all to enjoy. Article 1 Section 27 “The people have a right to clean air, pure water, and to the preservation of the natural, scenic, historic, and esthetic values of the environment. Pennsylvania’s public natural resources are the common property of all the people, including generations, yet to come. As trustee of these resources, the commonwealth shall conserve and maintain them for the benefit of all the people.”
It's just a fun thing to do. You don't have to do what I do but at each state park office, they sell what's called a Pennsylvania State Park & State Forest Passport which shows every park and forest within the commonwealth and it challenges you to visit each one and get the book stamped. Stamps are free. You just pay for the book which is between $10-$12. There are also challenges you can complete at certain parks such as hiking specific trails or seeing specific points of interest. It's a lot fun! My goal is to get my book completely stamped full!
@@WallieB26 Thanks for the information. Have a good evening. Could you do a video of Halloween in Hershey PA. If you could that is. If not that's fine. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and my mother's to. Sadly she passed away last year. So I am enjoying it for myself and in her honor.
I bought it at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center at the entrance to Presque Isle State Park for $10. However most PA state park offices have it for sale as well. Depends on the park but they're usually between $10 and $12.
Nice area, but boy, I will tell ya! I am enjoying pina coladas and surfing in the cancun just about as fast as them stores close! Yippee!!
Hahahahaha thank you so much! I see you're closing the New York store.

The great thing about Pennsylvania state parks is that they will always be free to all.

My wife and I were there today. It’s a shame we didn’t get a chance to meet you.
Aww I'm sorry about that. I was at Yellow Creek State Park today as the storms rolled through. Afterwards, it was really nice!

What are them used for
Hello Walie
I would guess that the shelter is for birdwatching?

Happy Birthday to you!🤗🥳🎉🎂🪅🎊🎈🎈🎆🌟🥳
Wallie, where did you buy the passport book?
I bought it at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center at the entrance to Presque Isle State Park for $10. However most PA state park offices have it for sale as well. Depends on the park but they're usually between $10 and $12.
And if they don't have it for sale at their park office, you can go to another state park office or buy it online.
Not too far from Pittsburgh
