Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is probably the fastest rematch in Vanguard ever. With Akina and Nao fought each other literally last week lol. Granted it was a teaching fight but still.
I been disconnected with vanguard series for so long and suddenly decide to try divinez. To be honest, Im really impressive so far. Until to this episode, the story is solid with various hints of mystery. The visual and songs in this season also great to my eyes and ears. Plus, the features character like Akina and Nao is likeable, hope to see more of Nao even through she lose this one. I still have not familiar with the energy card features but so now I can follow the fight.
well you will probably need some background from Dress series tho if you came back with DivineZ only . The place where they cardfought was at the end of Will+ Dress , same place where Yuyu ( Dress protagonist) fought against Will+Dress main antagonist. Megumi , Taizo and Masanori are all characters introduced in Dress series and two of them are main characters in DivineZ, is possible that other characters from Dress series will come back as well in future seasons. Raika ( from Will+ Dress as well) and Taizo were shown cardfighting in the TV in episode 1. DivineZ continues where Will+ Dress left off but with new protagonists , some new characters and some old characters coming back. So for better understanding of some of the old characters watching the Dress series ( Overdress and Will+ Dress is recommended) with that said you might understand the main plot only with DivineZ
Is masked boy insinuating that Akina will die if he continues on this trajectory? ... Well that's dark. Amazing fight though. I don't think Rezael was too bad a broken card; given that its essentially Angel Feather it makes sense for it to have a damage healing ability that is the basis of its Divine Skill. ~Ry
My guess is that we can trust Rezael as a partner to Akina, but we shouldn't trust the plushie. He is presenting himself as a harmless individual, and I don't trust it. I think the mask man will end up being the good guy and plushie will be the villain.

It could be like what happened in Shin's arc. The unit from cray was going to revive his friend's parents in exchange for his life and that unit's life (I forgot their names 😅). I mean it could be a life for a life that of thing.
My theory as to the warning in the end (spoiler alert) is Hikari might lose her life before the fated clash ends, same way as Rezael, akina's ace card, lost his lover. That's why his wish will never come true.
@@elin111 I look at the healing thing as a last resort. You probably use this pretty late into the game, put back 6-8 crit to deck and have a triple drive. In a way this deck technically has up to 16 crits
Akina's deck set-up is still weak. To make the best out of Rezael, you need a set-up that manipulated deck at every step. But as a beginner, Akina still haven't fully realized Rezael's power yet.
Theory time! Seeing as the mask guy said someone is gonna die! I bet the sister will die, but Akina will sacrifice himself for his sister to still be alive and be healthy. As we see Suo saying he doesn't have any wishes, him praying to fate and somekind of god wants his Best friend back! Finally realizing that there is someone who cares about him! Suo looks depressed, saddened and dosent care about life. Theory Over
@@sumboyuknow9764wym that 1/game skill is the best thing it could have gotten. It literally fixes one of the deck's biggest flaws (reliant of Freiheitz to do anything).
@sumboyuknow9764 it's not the full effect of the skill really. It allows them to play the turn 4 card without cost or using your order for the turn, charge energy, draw, and then it auto damages before swing because the operator skill is on attack, not after attack.
@@sumboyuknow9764 that would be assuming Taizo had already acquired the Fated card at that point of time and using it at that tournament. which i think is unlikely. plus turn 3 Fullblast is crazy
Just my theory, but Rezael's Miracles is with each time Akina's win' Hikari's disease will slow transfers to him. Hence the mask warned him about that he could die. Hikari felt better, but Akina still yet felt anything because that was only the first stage. If I am right, it will get worse with each victory.
Man that fight was freaking awesome mostly to see drages Varga in action it's skill was so cool retire rear guards fain power and a stand ability I can't wait to get when it's released on May English set
As powerful as Rezael's Divine Skill seems, its probably a lot more volitale since it probably only lasts for 1 turn instead of the whole game till you get a 6th damage trigger
I have a good chant for Varga Dragres's ride. "Blade of Yin, blade of Yang. The unbeatable swordmaster who wields both blades in hand, come forth and cut through the cloud of darkness. Ride! Fated One of The Unparalleled, Varga Dragres." What do you guys think?
End of episode spoiler I feel like that fox mask guy could be lying, making a threat, or telling the truth, and I dunno which it is. Entertaining plot so far at least
I wish they make Akina prepare for more and see more fights before the fated clash... But I guess that's how newer VG anime where the pacing is faster now.
Rezael skill is broken, It DivineZ skill shuffle all critical trigger from drop to deck to get 1 drive, can call two units and can change any trigger from 6th damage to heal trigger, also Dagress skill is broken too, Dagress have Bavsargra skill except gain Critical, can stand minus 2 drive and it DivineZ skill allow it stand again and get 2 drive back.
Wrong! The retire 1 skill is from the RG that boosted him. Varga Dragress skill is only to retire both fighters front row and +10k. Then Divine Skill is when making Dragress stand for the 3rd time and regains his drive.
Honestly I love the fact that the Overdress Era gave us more female Dragon Empire Users and both of them so far are so cool in their own way Spoilers! This episode basically tells us how and why Nao joins the fated clash which is her path to become pro (also was kinda expecting that the others who join the fated clash would have a freak out reaction when Gabwelius appeared to them for the first time, guess they didn't want to overuse the joke too much). I guess I was wrong that Nao's parents were involved in her path to becoming pro, which now looking at it like that makes it feel like there isn't much at stake on Nao's end compare to Akina in my opinion. Which in turn made it obvious who's gonna win. At first glance that is. I was surprised that the fated clash takes place in the area where the Will+Dress trio fought against the Uniformes and Gui, I also like how it shows that this is no ordinary cardfight based on what happens before that. As for the fight itself, wow they're pulling all the stops already for the music and animation. I like how both Rezael and Varga Drages plays so far, Varga Drages skill is like a combination of Dragonic Overlord and Bavsargra but you risk your own front row being wiped, but as Nao states you can use different units to make it's drawback beneficial to you also the fact that this unit has a chance to attack up to 4 times thanks to it's Divinez skill as well as DE Overtrigger makes the "Unparalleled" title very fitting for this unit as it won't stop attacking until it slices the opponent to bits also makes sense why it uses two swords. Then there's Rezael who has the ability to revive it's allies from drop to making it a good counter especially against retiring decks also good for multi-attacks, also it's Divinez skill which is returning all Crits from drop to deck and drive +1 increasing odds of getting a trigger, at first glance I thought "Wait if that's it's divinez skill then why did you use it already?" which I genuinely thought Akina misplayed there for a second but boy was I proven wrong, there's a reason why Rezael has the title of "Miracles" because of the extension of his Divinez skill which if he 6th damages a trigger unit besides a heal trigger he can heal one damage (which I find ironic since the first time Akina fights Nao his 6th damage was a Crit and thus loses, this time however it saves him from defeat and it gave him the victory, also liked how the two crits symbolized the fact that both Draga Varges swords shatters as Rezael deals the finishing blow), which is definitely a powerful skill since Rezael already increases your chance of pulling triggers which means Crits are this guy's go to trigger type a few things that bother me with it's skill is that: 1. Does the divine skill (the 6th damage Crit = Heal) last until the end of the opponent's turn after activation on your previous turn or is the ability active even after several turns have passed until to the point that Rezael gets 6th damage crit heal? and; 2. What happens if you pull an Overtrigger do you still heal damage making it so you end up with 4 damage or not? What do you think? So after the fight, one thing that stood out to me is the quote Akina said to Nao which taught her a good lesson curious on who told her that quote the first time, it is also revealed that all of the other participants are present and were watching the whole thing which means the other three fated ones are now aware of Akina, another thing that bothered me is the fact that Suo is participating in the Fated clash yet has no wish which is definitely weird, so is the final scene for the episode where fox-mask here says that death awaits Akina, which could mean two things Akina or Hikari dies which is unsettling to say the least. Next episode reveals that Megumi and Mikoto will most likely fight (probably for practice for the fated clash, and just a hunch but I think Akina's next opponent would most likely be Mikoto.) which I'm curious whether or not Mikoto will use the fated deck against Megumi and whether or not we get a new Magnolia form from this or just show off new support for Magnolia.
For rezael’s divine skill, I think the trigger effect resolves first. If you get a heal trigger and heal a damage, it’s no longer a 6th damage check, so the divine skill doesn’t activate. And for checking the ot, it removes itself from the trigger zone, so it isn’t counting as a damage at that point, so I think you still stay at 5 damage. We’ll see how bushi clears the wording up soon.
@@Otes-th7id From my understanding from this episode Varga Drages' skill is The first one is a "When this unit attacks" skill where it retires all front row rear guards of both players and it gets +10k power, and then it also has a "At the end of the battle this unit attacked" skill where it stands with Drive -2. (most likely these two skills are linked with [1/Turn] Similar to Grade 3 Zedlance's skill) The second one the Divinez skill most likely is another "At the end of the battle this unit attacked" skill this time though it is only activated if the opponent has 4 or more damage by paying the cost it will stand but this time instead of losing Drive -2 it's Drive +2
Are they going to reveal that Rezael is secretly evil or something? The fox mask guy made it sound like Rezael was going to get rid of Akina once he won or lost the tournament. Either that or Rezael will take Aki's good health and transfer it to his sister, making Aki really really sick.
Maybe not much relation, but in V, in the Shinemon arc there was an angelic unit very similar to Razael whose price to pay for "reviving" units was to sacrifice himself, Razael may be able to heal but it has a "cost".
I think I have a sneaking suspicion as to who the masked person is...... Anyone who's seen Fate Stay Night would know exactly who Archer's true identity was. I think this guy is this show's Archer.
Ima say it, I love Yuyu more, I love Nirvana and the Vairinas more, I love Kagero and Overlords, but this series, Rezeal, and Akina is just Epic the anime is better then the past 5 seasons
I like this fight but i would like to see Varga Dragres better. The battleground was so dark... My other concern with this episode is how to explain the extra copies of the fate ones for the persona ride. We only saw Akina get one copy by paranormal means. And the same happens with the rideline after seeing welstra's I would like a "logical" explanation fitting the world because we saw Akina buy singles but the support cards of the fate ones seem to be something out of the normal rules of getting cards in the anime, like yu-yu getting cards by buying or recieving from Mirei. Maybe I'm just thinking too much. Anyways, enjoy the episode, guys.
@@edea_oblige the message is BS, and my comment was before the episode. I lost interest in the anime, so you don't have to defend it to me. She really threw everything away because "Oh, I wanted to have fun", biggest cop out I've seen in a long time, even by kid show's standards
From the way the subtitles explain the skills, using Varga's DS to re-Stand first and give it +2 Drive, then re-Standing it normally with Drive -2 after would give you an extra 4 Drive checks compared to the inverse. However, that's *so* ridiculous I have to assume that it is not allowed.

Rezeal is legion without seek mate and Varga is limit break that checks your opponent’s damage
And you know what I didn’t see in this fight? A single over trigger! I really hope they get phased out!
If the tradeoff is making more unique and powerful vanguards then that'd be great
@@Samurrot07 I agree and honestly I think they nailed it with those divine skills! Powerful, potential game changing if timed well, but they aren’t so overpowered that you just auto lose! I’m a big fan!
@@Zaphiakeljust hope not only 6 unit have divine skill
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is probably the fastest rematch in Vanguard ever. With Akina and Nao fought each other literally last week lol. Granted it was a teaching fight but still.
Yugioh Vrains has 2 fastest rematch with Yusaku/Playmaker and Ryoken/Revolver.
And those rematches happened shortly after getting DRAWs.
Damn I told myself I would only build one deck in standard but Vargas is just so dope it makes me want to build it

Animation was fire this episode
Is masked boy insinuating that Akina will die if he continues on this trajectory? ... Well that's dark. Amazing fight though. I don't think Rezael was too bad a broken card; given that its essentially Angel Feather it makes sense for it to have a damage healing ability that is the basis of its Divine Skill. ~Ry
My guess is that we can trust Rezael as a partner to Akina, but we shouldn't trust the plushie. He is presenting himself as a harmless individual, and I don't trust it. I think the mask man will end up being the good guy and plushie will be the villain.
@@mysticstrike3826what's weird is that both the plushie and the masked man share the same VA. Why would they have the same VA if they aren't the same character
@@symphonixblades Maybe 2 half of a something? Kinda like how in Fate Illya is the proper lesser grail and then we have Sakura as the artificial bad lesser grail. Or even the grail being originally good but then has the Avenger
At first I thought that the masked guy and Gab are the same individual (masked guy is a human, Gab is Planet Cray version of the masked guy)
It could be like what happened in Shin's arc. The unit from cray was going to revive his friend's parents in exchange for his life and that unit's life (I forgot their names 😅). I mean it could be a life for a life that of thing.
Can't wait for the next episode
Bro this fight is so cool
Off to a great start.
My theory as to the warning in the end (spoiler alert)
is Hikari might lose her life before the fated clash ends, same way as Rezael, akina's ace card, lost his lover. That's why his wish will never come true.
It's already time for the student to surpass the master
i wonder if the fake ou t heal from the practice match will come to fruition in this episode.

Riiight??
Good in fiction, not in real life. If you see someone with a mask alone at night RUN
That Razael divine skill is....pretty damn strong
It is flashy but short of stacking your deck it has every chance of whiffing more than working.
Assuming it only lasts 1 turn u have to basically die the next turn to get that 6th damage miracle
If it lasts the whole fight then its good
@@elin111 I look at the healing thing as a last resort.
@@kodokutamashi1569*looks at my Amaruda deck* I think it'll work out in premium just fine
Excited for waifu number 2 to take the stage.
Theory Over
Time to see what those fated cards do. The effects have been blocked for quite a while and only Welstra’s effect has been revealed.
And Welstra's pretty bad for a once per duel effect. No wonder its owner lost to the will+Dress glasses guy
@@sumboyuknow9764welstra Is deceptively simple, but don't be fooled, it is very very good for what welstra wants to do.
8:24 Wait a second... Muso? Koei Tecmo called, it wants its Samurai Warrior back lol
As powerful as Rezael's Divine Skill seems, its probably a lot more volitale since it probably only lasts for 1 turn instead of the whole game till you get a 6th damage trigger
Not one turn dummy! Until end of opponent's turn.
Rezael is probably going to be one of the most technical decks, and honestly I'm just so hyped
Lets see if the holy dragon knight will be able to extinguish the flames of the Samurai dragon ❤️🔥

I feel like that fox mask guy could be lying, making a threat, or telling the truth, and I dunno which it is. Entertaining plot so far at least
Either that or it could be a hidden side effect of the wish
There may be more to this battle than what the dragon plushy is letting on.
@@BushidoRoad I agree, I dont trust the plushie. I think its a red-haring and the fox mask dude is good while the plushie is evil.
WHO IS COMING BACK AFTER EPISODE 10 ?? MEEE
Amogus
I like how they showed nao ran multiple decks, from keter to stoichea to dragon empire
The guy purposely not responded to not put guilt nor more pressure on his senpai 😢
Honestly I love the fact that the Overdress Era gave us more female Dragon Empire Users and both of them so far are so cool in their own way
Spoilers!
Then there's Rezael who has the ability to revive it's allies from drop to making it a good counter especially against retiring decks also good for multi-attacks, also it's Divinez skill which is returning all Crits from drop to deck and drive +1 increasing odds of getting a trigger, at first glance I thought "Wait if that's it's divinez skill then why did you use it already?" which I genuinely thought Akina misplayed there for a second but boy was I proven wrong, there's a reason why Rezael has the title of "Miracles" because of the extension of his Divinez skill which if he 6th damages a trigger unit besides a heal trigger he can heal one damage (which I find ironic since the first time Akina fights Nao his 6th damage was a Crit and thus loses, this time however it saves him from defeat and it gave him the victory, also liked how the two crits symbolized the fact that both Draga Varges swords shatters as Rezael deals the finishing blow), which is definitely a powerful skill since Rezael already increases your chance of pulling triggers which means Crits are this guy's go to trigger type a few things that bother me with it's skill is that:
1. Does the divine skill (the 6th damage Crit = Heal) last until the end of the opponent's turn after activation on your previous turn or is the ability active even after several turns have passed until to the point that Rezael gets 6th damage crit heal? and;
Can someone explain nao's important card abilities to me?
@@Otes-th7id From my understanding from this episode Varga Drages' skill is
The first one is a "When this unit attacks" skill where it retires all front row rear guards of both players and it gets +10k power, and then it also has a "At the end of the battle this unit attacked" skill where it stands with Drive -2. (most likely these two skills are linked with [1/Turn] Similar to Grade 3 Zedlance's skill)
The second one the Divinez skill most likely is another "At the end of the battle this unit attacked" skill this time though it is only activated if the opponent has 4 or more damage by paying the cost it will stand but this time instead of losing Drive -2 it's Drive +2
@@deathred7371 The cost in Razeal's case? His human partner.

I like this fight but i would like to see Varga Dragres better. The battleground was so dark...
My other concern with this episode is how to explain the extra copies of the fate ones for the persona ride. We only saw Akina get one copy by paranormal means. And the same happens with the rideline after seeing welstra's
I would like a "logical" explanation fitting the world because we saw Akina buy singles but the support cards of the fate ones seem to be something out of the normal rules of getting cards in the anime, like yu-yu getting cards by buying or recieving from Mirei.
Maybe I'm just thinking too much. Anyways, enjoy the episode, guys.
This is so good

He’s likely going to lose. But i think he gets to rematch or something like that.
If he doesn't lose, its going to make Nao's story pretty pointless. I don't know how they can/will spin it if she fails here
@@edea_oblige the message is BS, and my comment was before the episode.
You know I just realized every episode 1 and 2 it always have to be low budget but in episode 3 we get high quality animation this gotta be a pattern
