I bought one of the rubber face Ruskin bear for $20 and sold it immediately to China for $500+ . I always look for them now. Thanks for the other plush information.
Thanks, Don ~ as someone who has helped clean out the worldly goods of several relatives who have passed on---I would urge everyone to consider their personal expiration date, mortality, and if your "collection" needs a care taker...My Mom died in 2006 and I STILL have her overwhelming collection boxed up in my garage. sigh. I need to figure out this Ebay thing, lol!
Huge video game plush collector myself. Kinda surprised you didn't bring up the Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 plush sets from the late 90s. Some of them now of days go for upwards of 10k if in decent condition. The same can be said about The Sonic the Fighter plushes.
Hey Auction Professor! I want to thank you for all of the work you put into your content. I sincerely appreciate you sharing your knowledge and wisdom with us. I have a love for finding rare items and have been able to expand my horizons because of your videos. Thank you, and keep up the great work!
Thanks Don that gives me another reason to go through my 300+ death pile of plush I might have something worth looking at. My first e-bay sale was an Alf plush!

holy crap! I have a Rushton elephant that I have had since I was a baby. I did not know until watching this video, that my Lizzie was made by Rushton. I was born in 1959.
I truly love this video. Your vibe and the way you speak makes it so much easier to accept the fact most of my missing childhood toys have the monetary worth of all the love they've been given 😄🖤💫
I recently opened my Grandmother’s cedar chest and it was full of old plush. Had a March of Dimes Elvis teddy bear in the tux. A giant bunny and dog with rubber face. Some 60’s Barbie’s too.
I do have Promo Bolt 😊 I also have 3 of the Gipsy Mr Carrot Volt plush ( 1 with Mr Carrot and 2 without Mr Carrot ) considered to what they go for sometimes, I got mines for nice deals! 🥰 I’m a huge fan of Bolt for already 10 years and collected Bolt plushies and other Bolt items in these 10 years of loving Bolt. I still do! I actually should make a Bolt plush collection video 😅 had planned that a while ago but kinda forgot about it 😅😂😂… and my collection kept growing and growing…
Regarding the very last segment with the Lost and Found crying toys, I know a guy who has made it his life mission to collect every single one of the lamb plush from that set. He has like 40 of them.
You must be a mind reader bc I have just recently gotten into selling plush. I LOVE learning all the new brands and dolls from you! Great job and VERY informative!
My auntie gave us 2-3 of the my pet monster puppets a couple years ago. With their chains. And I never thought to even look them up because we just thought they were super cool. Amazing to know
Great video. I'm a first-time watcher and this resignated with me and gave me a clear picture of what to look for. Thank you I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Here’s some rare plushes I happen to have in my collection (I collect old Chuck E. Cheese and showbiz pizza merchandise) 1: a prototype beach bear plush from the Rockafire explosion 2: an original Chuck plush from 1980. What’s really interesting is that he has ground nut shells as his filling
This video is bringing up so many memories of things I had...wish I still had them now! I thrifted one of those monsters in the 90s and gave it to my friend as a joke, but the quality of it really was nice. Who knows what became of it. I worked at Kenner for awhile, and the older designers used to tell me about weird toys that were produced (I worked there before Kenner became part of Mattel). The funniest thing was called the "Daddy Saddle"--ostensibly for kids to put on their dad's back when playing horsie, but my coworker was like, "Hmm, I wonder if any kids actually bought that? Or were they only used by adults??" ROFL.
The GUND plush dogs with the rubber faces, and 'sleepy' eyes, are also valuable, especially the Regal Beagle, Bye-Bye Beagle (which came in a suitcase, with an outfit) and the Lady and the Tramp rubber faced dogs. IIRC, GUND also produced a line of rubber faced monkey plush toys.
I found a Boyds Bears jointed bunny the first time I went to the Goodwill bins, so I paid less than $1 for it. Just a common one so it's selling for $16, but I'd call $1 to $16 a win!
The lost and found bunny at the very end is hard to find pictures of. I've been looking for it forever and haven't seen a picture or video until watching this! I was wondering if I just imagined having one.
My dad still has two rushton dog plushies from his childhood they are in my opinion kinda weird looking but now that I see this video there look makes sense : )
I just got 2 big vintage soft toys from same source together. Both are about 19" tall. 1 is Ganz Canada label, very big brown and cream dog with yellow neck ribbon, pink tongue hanging out, crescent black/white painted eyes. 2nd has no label but very big bunny, pinky orange and white fur, yellow neck ribbon, solid stuffed ears, fluffy cheeks and tail and orange/yellow/black crescent painted eyes. Anyone got any ideas because I can't find either on internet. 😊
Great video! I've been very lazy about checking plushies as I source. I used to buy plushies and made good money but then I got bored..... and they take up a lot of space so I just stopped buying them... but it's time to get back in the plush market.
Love what you do. Love the vintage commercials. Funny thing, when I see you I do not expect your voice to sound that way. I expect more of a JOnathan Rhys Davies voice. lol.
I just found your channel! Love beanie babies but lost all of my babies when I left my husband in 2014. My mom just passed in January and I got her collection. I was just going through them and noticed something I’ve never noticed before. My Clubby tush tag has the R after collection there’s a star by the ❤️ that has Ty inside then there’s a 03 and another R at the bottom of the heart. I can upload a picture if your interested in seeing this because I have no idea what this means!
I think the first year for the "Elvis Summer Festival" was 1970 (Las Vegas)... and might have been repeated in subsequent years. You can see footage of this in the documentary "Elvis That's The Way It Is".
I'm a huge fan of little twin stars let me tell you ANY little twin star dolls that are older are sooooo expensive along with any other original vintage little twin stars merch they're lesser known about and most people aren't big fans so newer merchandise now for kiki and lala are also hard to find.
I still have my Spuds McKenzie 🐶 plush I bought in the late 80s and was wondering what is the best way to store him, right now he smells like my attic and he is starting to yellow 😕
I have some stuffed animals that are from before i was born, some from my childhood, some from only last year and working on getting one right now (which is my first plushy I’ll have purchased) but my point is i treasure all of them and are never selling them, i dont care if I potentially own a million dollar toy (ive never looked online) their my fluffy possessions
I have a straw stuffed bunny but only a partial tag. It's white with blue letters. It's ripped in half but the first 3 letters are Kru... any ideas? I'm desperate.
Auction Professor i have a question for you. How do you find dolls with porcelain heads or that are from the 50's up to ?. Thank you for your videos very informative.
Do you have a link to vid devoted to beanie babies. Just bought a lot of 60+ w many that show to be rare but totally clueless till today and doin mad research
Don, I have an original 1983 Grumpy Bear Care Bear with painted eyes in great condition. I need to find more information on them. I pulled it from my store until I can get a good idea what it is worth. Thanks
Don't forget Douglas Bundy, Tahoe, Lhasa, Nikita, A & A Frostie, first generation Aurora Mush, Douglas Simba's especially cub Simba. Maybe hundreds of other mega rares.
I'm an old metal guy and still have the long hair, I found a doll (Anne Geddes) at a sale that looks like it's wearing an animal costume with red eyes. The funny thing is I picked it from a garage sale free pile and without thinking held it under my arm like a child until the lady openly gasped🤣 ,,, relax lady this thing might be in a video some day.
Hi! I have a couple of plushies made for the single season of an australian kids show in 2001 Called Cushion Kids. Ive never seen any anywhere else or for sale online or even in thrift stores. What sort of price should i set as a starter for something like that? I have no idea , even as a ball park figure . Thanks in advance , if thats not being too cheeky? :)
I have some beanie babies & was wondering if they would be worth any money, I have a McDonald's beanie baby that has fries on it on the upper right side & also curly beanie baby with two different tags, one says 1996 & the other ones says 1993
Every one of your video's loads up very easy to watch, and other video's even now as I speak, but this video no matter what I do (it won't play). Sorry, Don. Charles in the UK
Another one to look out for are the 2 yoshi's by bd&a that were only available thru the mail with an order form from Nintendo power and the upc from yoshi's Island 64. They had a white one and a black one. Same size as beanie babies. We found 2 and sold for 800 each.
To elaborate on the Lucario plush, that specific one in the video is made by TOMY and that specific plush is from their plush line called "Heartland". Heartland plush are often in low quantity, and the large ones often fetch a decent price tag. Collectors have a hard find finding that lucario itself, so it's more realistic to find other Lucario plush to sell Lucario is one of the more popular Pokemon so even at lower prices, most of its plush will sell faster though.
I have a small "Lucky" teddybear from a carnival that has a Barbie tag sewn into its crotch. From the factory. what should I do with it? How can I find out bif its worth anything?
I bought one of the rubber face Ruskin bear for $20 and sold it immediately to China for $500+ . I always look for them now. Thanks for the other plush information.
Love your old commercials!
Brings back memories!
Back in the day when we saw cute toy (and cereal) commercials… as opposed to today when we’re forced to sit thru non-stop pharmaceutical ads.
Thanks, Don ~ as someone who has helped clean out the worldly goods of several relatives who have passed on---I would urge everyone to consider their personal expiration date, mortality, and if your "collection" needs a care taker...My Mom died in 2006 and I STILL have her overwhelming collection boxed up in my garage. sigh. The face in that second one! 😍🤗💜And the last one too!

An astroboy carebear is something I've never heard of!! thats a cool one
Thanks Don that gives me another reason to go through my 300+ death pile of plush I might have something worth looking at. My first e-bay sale was an Alf plush!
I have an ALF hand puppet

I had at least a couple of those my pet monsters back in the 80's...I loved them
Never knew ALF is an acronym. I appreciate that not everything I learn from your channel is about nuts and bolts eBay.
I recently opened my Grandmother’s cedar chest and it was full of old plush. Had a March of Dimes Elvis teddy bear in the tux. A giant bunny and dog with rubber face. Some 60’s Barbie’s too.
There's also a Disney Bolt plush labeled as the Promo Bolt. I've seen them sell recently for $800-$1000.
What movie is Volt from?
I do have Promo Bolt 😊 I also have 3 of the Gipsy Mr Carrot Volt plush ( 1 with Mr Carrot and 2 without Mr Carrot ) considered to what they go for sometimes, I got mines for nice deals! 🥰

Very nice video! Glad I found you - will be watching more. I love that you show comps and the old commercials!
You must be a mind reader bc I have just recently gotten into selling plush. I LOVE learning all the new brands and dolls from you! Great job and VERY informative!
Older Steiff products are good to watch for, as well.
I have a bunch of old Boyd's and Steiff bears. I can't seem to give them away. Maybe I just don't have the patience for ebay
@@freakee2818 there’s no market for Boyd’s right now. Steiff is still money, hang on to them if you’re having no luck now
My auntie gave us 2-3 of the my pet monster puppets a couple years ago. With their chains. And I never thought to even look them up because we just thought they were super cool. Amazing to know
I had a Chubbles. He made that noise every time you covered his eyes. He’s in a box somewhere in this house.
Great video. I'm a first-time watcher and this resignated with me and gave me a clear picture of what to look for. Thank you I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Thanks for all the great information!!!

Enjoying your presentations - succinct and informative. Great.
Thank you once again professor. Learned a lot once again.

Some of those are downright terrifying.
Thanks for much for the video and information
The lost and found bunny at the very end is hard to find pictures of. I've been looking for it forever and haven't seen a picture or video until watching this! I was wondering if I just imagined having one.

I always seem to find the $20-30 plush, but it doesn’t stop me from trying. Time to get digging again. 😊
I collect and sell plush toys. I do keep some of them for myself though, because they have sentimental value!😊
I just got 2 big vintage soft toys from same source together. Interesting. Incomprehensible.
I made a $500 profit recently on a Rushton.
Great video! I've been very lazy about checking plushies as I source. I used to buy plushies and made good money but then I got bored..... and they take up a lot of space so I just stopped buying them... but it's time to get back in the plush market.
Does anyone know a good product replacement to the vintage common wealthy unicorn plushie? Or at least the history behind it?
The mustang build a bear is worth the most, currently, I think. Along with the candy corn cat and the otter. I could be wrong obviously.
Love what you do. Love the vintage commercials. Funny thing, when I see you I do not expect your voice to sound that way. I expect more of a JOnathan Rhys Davies voice. lol.
Another score! They have tons of plushes at my Savers and this stuff is light! Thanks again! Keeping an eye on you :) good stuff!
I found an elephant Puffalump at GW for $3.99 a d sold it for $249.99, buyer paid $36 shipping. Been looking for more ferociously.
I just found your channel! Love beanie babies but lost all of my babies when I left my husband in 2014. My mom just passed in January and I got her collection. Don, I have an original 1983 Grumpy Bear Care Bear with painted eyes in great condition. I need to find more information on them. I pulled it from my store until I can get a good idea what it is worth. Thanks
I’ve never heard of any of these.
I mean this with the utmost respect; I saw the thumbnail for your video and thought “HOLY SH*T! John Rhys Davies knows about stuffies????”
Don't forget Douglas Bundy, Tahoe, Lhasa, Nikita, A & A Frostie, first generation Aurora Mush, Douglas Simba's especially cub Simba. Maybe hundreds of other mega rares.
There's a version of the Princess Diana Beanie Baby that's worth stupid money
I actually know several people who make life-size commission plushies. Depending on what you want it can easily be $2K and higher
I'm an old metal guy and still have the long hair, I found a doll (Anne Geddes) at a sale that looks like it's wearing an animal costume with red eyes. Ah-ha❗❗❗I do believe I have something in my collection that may be worth some money...🤗💵💯✔
where can i send you pictures of items you may like?
The diddy Kong racing plush with kart is probably the rarest plush on earth 😢
I have some beanie babies & was wondering if they would be worth any money, I have a McDonald's beanie baby that has fries on it on the upper right side & also curly beanie baby with two different tags, one says 1996 & the other ones says 1993

Hi Don! Great video 👍❤️
2:40 are we just gonna pretend there isn't a fly on Falco?

How much would a 1992 dakin green stegosaurus be worth with tag

Have any idea what a original charzar gos for ? Things huge fills a black trashbag.
I have a small "Lucky" teddybear from a carnival that has a Barbie tag sewn into its crotch. From the factory. what should I do with it? How can I find out bif its worth anything?
