Hi Angie I'm 62 and I've been thrifting since I was gosh a little girl I would go around to garage sales in the neighborhood and find little things that I could buy for gifts to give to my aunt or uncle or my mom or my grandma and then but I got my first apartment and got married our whole apartment was second hand and thrifted and I loved it and I've always loved to curate a home that is intentional and thought out and different and unique and I make it my own by thrifting ☺️👋

Hi! New to your channel! I love thrifting, been doing it for many years! Actually owned A thrift store for quite awhile also. I collect anything old.. primitive, antique, vintage, Victorian..i have lots of different collections, some are small & some will forever grow!😄 I love most of the same things you do too. As soon as we get moved into A house, i plan to collect some transfer ware and do a plate wall. I'd love to find A piece in all the colors, plates & saucers. We shall see how that goes! I love ornate frames! I buy art just for the frame and sometimes i buy for the art & not the frame. I have a nice collection of large coffee table books about antiques, old art, lots of pictures i can frame. I've framed several already. And i like to use the mod podge hack to make it look like a real oil painting. So I have empty frames & art with no frames in my storage room 🤷♀️ Right now I'm not doing any shopping until we move.. not sure but most likely moving from where we live in Tennessee to Florida, so doesn't make send to buy more right now.. it crushes me not to shop😩 lol But if we do move to Florida I'm excited to find new stores! In the area I live in Tennessee it's mostly antique stores. Not sure what I'll find in Florida in the area I'm moving to! I actually have a basket like that one, but a little smaller, i use for gathering flowers to bring inside. I have an old antique trunk that i keep all my bed linens in.. all are thrifted! I've made lots of Christmas pillows from place mats! I love that red ticking stripe, it would make beautiful pillows❤ I've not had much luck finding flat back hanging baskets for my peg rails🫤 I just have a couple, but i love that look.. with florals or greenery or even a pretty doilie or cute old hankie! I love the figurines in vignettes, and love to collect the Victorian figurines. I love patina on brass & silver! I collect really old lamps, or maybe hoard them lol, but i love the old fabric shades or the silk ones, the odd shaped ones.. but most of my lamps have glass shades or are the candle type. I really like that lamp base, the finial is so pretty! Love the way you styled that Space! I do like layering empty frames against an old large mirror. Or hang a larger empty frame then hang a smaller frame with art in it inside the empty one, its very pretty especially in a gallery wall❤ And i hang just pretty ornate frames empty too. I love collecting old books, if they're older than me.. 1964 or older! I collect old bibles & hymnals too. Music pages make beautiful small art! But I'll never removed a bible page!! Some are falling out of my 1800's bibles but i just stick them back in. I think its nice when we can share tips with each other.. you'll find out I'm very chatty lol😄 I just feel like I'm talking with the person on the video.. And learn about each other! 🤷♀️ I've denied your video, I'll go back & look at older ones too! TFS😊
