12.15.2023. Happy Friday Julie. I love the red vintage toolbox from Sears for $4.29. My Genz Princess loves the Gingerbread scissors in your toolbox. The Sears in our city was knock down and now is complete to put a Tiles Rug store. No more Country Buffet, Bed Bath and Beyond they are putting new stores there. I like the way you display the Toolbox, basket and wooden snowman. The box is chick and gives it the perfect look. Great job! 🥰
I’m behind in decorating and shopping this year. I’ve had bronchitis and I’m just not feeling Christmas this year at all. It has all been such a chore, I have just given it to god and I know things will turn out just fine.
Hi Julie, when you showed that watermelon basket it made me smile, when our youngest grandson was at a garage sale when he was young, he had bought me this as a surprise. Although mine was so faded and the lid was broke, he thought of me and I absolutely love it. And I have had it for years and will never get rid of it. It has a special place in the laundry room above the cupboards. Oh my, I would have gotten that red tool box and opened the lid and made a Christmas vignette in it.
I bought my husbands step mom a red tool box back at Mothers Day & planted flowers in it for her. Her fave color is red & she decorates outside all Patriotic for the summer. She loved it.
You are not alone. I'm still shopping. Love the red tool box. At the beach during winter. Prices are lower but some adventures and restaurants are closed for the season. That's there maintenance time . And just a rest time until they open at spring break, and start their season over again. Something to keep I'm mind. It can also get really cold there too!! You can still have a good time but everything may not be available. We like the beach in winter. Not as crowded. Love the decor. Take care of yourself. Prayers to be healed.
I think the basket is a bread warmer like for your dinner rolls. I love that red tool box. It is just perfect for your holiday gift wrapping. Your home always looks so beautiful and I just love your style ❤
Hi Julie, Great red metal box! I have two green metal boxes in a lot of my vintage vignettes. I like how you styled the red tool box. Thank you for taking us shopping.
I love love love the red tool box! I was thinking, it would make a great gift box. I would use it for my husband, to put a Christmas gift in. I always get him some kind of new tool, or gadget. That would be perfect for something like that!!! Great score!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
How neat! That tool box is like one my daddy used for years. Je was a John Deere Master Mechanic my whole life. He had a set of tools at work the had a set at home and that little tool box was full. He used it constantly
I am still behind as well. Both my husband and I were sick for a week with congestion/cold. That was about 2 weeks ago and we’re just now feeling better. Also, I have those same gingerbread scissors 😊
Loved the toolbox..What came ro my mind was to place succulents in it, but it is actually too good to do that. Tools would work for you. Lol women need our tools handy, too. 😊
I have a green tool box I use it for my tools in the house. I think mine might have been a fishing box but looks like yours.i like that you used it for wrapping center. Good idea!
Line the tool box with red & white print or checked cloth napkins and serve cookies & candies from it...brunch items? Fancy flavored K-cups & creamers at coffee bar?
L9ve the red toolbox 🧰 Cute idea you had, keeping your wrapping supplies in it 👍I had one similar in collage, a long, long time ago 😅. I was an art major. Kept my art supplies in it to carry from class to class 😊
Everything looks so nice. Please have a lovely chrismas with your beautiful family. Also thank you so much for remembering the people that may not be feeling comfort and joy. It reminds us to be thankful and also give...
The basket with the heating unit is for bread or rolls. A nice napkin in the bottom, and you will have warmed bread or rolls for your dinner. Love to you Julie from Marcie in Oregon ❤
My mother had one that was a longer, rectangular shape. She used it often to keep biscuits and muffins warm as people would straggle in for late breakfasts.
Fun trip! That minnow bucket in the beginning makes a great primitive planter on a porch. I use the metal tool boxes for garden tools, small and easy to carry in my flower gardens. I also use them to store batteries, the little light bulbs I use in my primitive lights. They are very handy
Kids will play on the beach and get in the water no matter the weather. I took my daughter and her friend to a beach in Mendocino (Northern California) and it’s always cold and foggy there. The body surfed in the 50 degree water and had a blast.
You didn't really look at it, but there was a blue plastic cube thing with a handle. It's about the size of a personal igloo cooler. It's a recirculating ice pack! You add ice and water and then plug it in and wrap the pad around the injury. Those things are expensive. We bought it after my son's shoulder surgery, but have used it so many times since. It comes in so handy when someone turns an ankle, pulls a muscle, etc..
Yes I'm ready for Christmas decorations done presents wrapped just waiting on jolly old St. Nick no worries Julie I have no doubt you will get it all done!❤🎅🤶
Love the tool box! It would be perfect to store your cookie and cake decorating stuff in. Frosting colors and decorator tips on top, frosting bags and cookie press on the bottom! Im on the hunt for one now. 🎄
I'm running behind schedule this year also. I took a vacation in November which set me back. Then I just needed some oral surgery last week. I wasn't prepared for how much pain I would be in.😢 I haven't felt much like getting packages ready and mailing things off. I'm finished with the purchasing of gifts.🎁🎁🛍
I'm right there with you .... Been fighting the flu for two weeks now , even got the flu shot ... So shopping has been put on the back burner for now ... Loved the bread warmer ❤ ... Hope you and myself feel better soon !!!
You are not alone Ms Julie! I find this an overwhelming time of year , although joyous as well. Seems like Christmas shopping is never done- always ‘just one more thing’ … I wonder if that basket is for keeping food hot?? Probably bread. Love the melon basket ! Red tool box is vintage …so cute for you to use !! Great idea for storage! Love it. ❤Marilyn xx
Like you, I am usually finished shopping and wrapping by now. However, cedar season came early to the Hill Country this year. My mother had a heated bread box like the one you found in the 60s and 70s.
Thankyou Julie for working so hard to bring Us these days of Christmas videos❤. We know you have a home to run and family to care for and all the hustle of bustle of Christmas and to not forget anyone. Thank you for thinking of us. We loves you and your channel and home.
So what I’ve learned doing gardening is they say that you can get some of those old tool chest or old mailboxes and you can use it and make it on a like a tree or a shelving on the house or something to put your garden tools in there
Even my package sized mailbox that I ran over, pulled the post out of the ground, and dragged it down the road for 2 miles before I could get it out from under the truck. I could insert a picture but it isn’t recognizable as a mailbox. 😂
No, you’re not alone! I am usually done shopping and wrapped too by this time. As I sit here watching your video on my couch with flu like symptoms and a fever of 102. I only have to buy a few stocking stuffers for my daughter, pick up a gift card to a local restaurant for my parents and then let the wrapping begin. I forgot to mention, I’m hosting Christmas Eve too. This flu has got to go!!
I have a horrible cold. I've had it for a week. My husband and I usually give checks for the most part. So In don't have a lot of buying to do. We're in our 80's. I just want this cold to go away so I can enjoy the holiday festivities. Parties and such ❤❤❤❤
I actually have an old red toolbox that’s ready to go in place outside. I found some old shelf and some brackets. I will mount on the side of my house cause my garden goes like all around for my tools. I just haven’t done the shelf yet but that’s what I’ve saw either old toolboxes or old mailboxes.
Finished with Christmas, and Christmas shopping, we have Thanksgiving on that day, Christmas is the next day, and i have my grandson and granddaughter's Birthday the final day. By Sunday everyone is on there way home with there perspective meat for six months ,because the men do hunting for deer
Julie, great Vlogmas Day 13! You did great. I found a red toolbox at Goodwill very similar to the one you found. I have my tools in it that I generally use in and around the house. I love it. Perfect size for a lady toolbox!! Take care. Cookie in Mandeville Louisiana
What an awesome idea for the tool box!!! It looks great as a riser too. Did you notice that from a distance at least on the video, the round red and white box by the toolbox looks like it has Santa faces on it.
Happy Thursday Julie, family, and fur babies. Nope have not even started shopping for Christmas. We already know it is going to be a marathon day per usual. STTB

That basket with a plug is a bread warmer for when you take bread on a picnic or to a pot luck.
I would have never guessed for bread.
My aunt or grandma had one, but I think it's missing a piece.
My mom still has hers!
My mom had one, memories lol 7:17
