Love how we can always count on your honesty. And for what it’s worth, here for *all* the content-insomnia and all ;) I’ve been using Bourjois powder foundation for a few years on and off! I really like it, but their shade range (unless they’ve updated it) leaves much to be desired. Super scarce. That being said, it’s light and lasts for hours-perfect for days full of zoom meetings.
With any powder foundation it's best to use a Kabuki brush and to buff buff buff It will Actually turn creamy when it emulsify with your skin oils but it's not just a one and done you have to really work it into the skin To get that flawless finish
I have not tried anything from this line but I'm thinking about trying the liquid foundation, I've heard it's pretty transfer proof. Definitely will pass on this power foundation. I have several powder foundations I like and I want to try the l'oreal age perfect powder foundation, I like that it's more of a satin finish. I'm oily but in the winter I'm more combo. I just can't figure out my shade 🤔 Thank you for the great video!
Thanks for this review! I like pressed powder foundations mainly for touch ups and setting. My faves for touch ups are the bareMinerals barePro (on your earlier recommendation!) & of course, MAC Studio Fix. For setting my faves are the Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet and the Cover FX pressed mineral foundation. But yes, I agree, when they're done right, powder foundations are so quick and easy.
That’s too bad it didn’t work out as a powder foundation on you. On the subject of powder foundation, I saw a UA-camr from the US review the new Loreal Fresh Wear Powder Foundation and it looked really good on her. Do you know if there are plans to bring that one to Canada?
Now I rarely use powder foundations. The first foundation that were powder for were from Mac cosmetics and Iman. I think I used the NYX one this summer to set my face. They have great products (I love their blush is a grape color).
Hi I think the product perform really well on you and looks really pretty it just being a powder foundation it did good covered is this product still available in 2021 November because I wouldn't mind having powder foundation that's reasonable price🤔🤑
I just bought a powder foundation from Laura Geller, looking for something to use that is easier to apply and faster for daily use and I love the way it looks on my skin but the share I got (tan) was tad bit to dark for me, no tan for me this year lol. I think I will keep it and make myself look tan during the winter 😂
Some really great powder foundations are Jane Iredale and Glo skin Beauty. They’re both mineral foundations which I’m not a fan of but these are amazing. Another honourable mention is Pure Anada. A Canadian brand. The loose mineral has great shades for POC. Thanks for the review xo
Hi Sam thank you for this review I love powder foundation the two that I use are Lancome powder foundation and the makeup forever velvet matte I think they look great on my skin.
Good morning Samantha! I’ve never tried powder foundation except once and I did a terrible job, but maybe there’s a technique I just need to learn. I’ve always been interested to try. I like the idea of using it to set or touch up. Have a great Wednesday 🤗
The only powder foundation I've tried is Bare Minerals. Wait I take that back I bought one from Home Shopping Network. Not a fan although I have better luck with them in the summer. I'm sticking with liquid. Thanks for the review. ❤
I can't help but mention that you did say you won't apply a primer today and I find some of the problems could've been avoided that way. Also I like the same shade as a contour, I have very light olive skin! So, as you said, as a setting powder great! Also after this helpful video I would like to see you try a colour you might think looks better for a foundation type application. Please excuse my presumptuousness, I am new to your channel. P.S. I am looking forward to watching! kisses!
This isn’t a first impression so I’ve tried a variety of ways with and without primer, I can’t say for sure on shade match but generally shade won’t affect the patchiness but I’ll still totally use to set my face
Just used the liquid for the first time today and my feelings are so mixed (had to mix with my fave Loreal fresh wear) Love that I'm not shiny at the end of the day but its soo drying though
I just bought the Laura Geller one, it looks good on the skin but the shade I got was to dark for me and if I go down one shade it says is for olive undertones and I am neutral, so I am so sad I will not find the right one for me because I really liked the LG powder foundation
The color match is terrible. Moreover, it looks like it's only good as a setting powder. Maybe it will perform better if you had a primer underneath it.
Thank you for this review.. its a no for me. I would like to ask what you are using in your hair? Your curls are shapappin! We have the same curl pattern I think and I need something cos my curls are thirty and sad! 🤭

Yup! That’s the brush I love and use with all my powders, been a big fan of powder for years - this one just ain’t it for me Hha
thank you so much for a review in real skin! i am sick and tired of watching reviews with such a smooth skin. THIS IS WHAT WE NEED TO SEE!
Coal miner chic sounds like it could be a New color pop palette release lol! Roll with it, make it a trend lol!
🤣🤣so true about colourpop
If Zoolander isn't the face of that imaginary palette, what a waste! 🤣
Didnt J Star do this with his highlighter? lol
I wear both powder and liquid. My MAC studio Fix is a staple for me, especially on days that I don’t want to do liquid or when I’m in a rush.
Can I just point out that you turn anything that might not be great into a fantastic finished look.

Thank you for the great video!
I love powder foundation for my everyday 'work' look, I use liquid on weekends for a more full beat. I use PUR cosmetics mineral powder

Can you use this as a setting powder over the top of normal liquid foundation ?
Yup that’s covered in this video!
So glad that I’m not the only one with crazy insomnia lately. I wake up between 1-3 every night. It’s the worst.
Love powder foundation...use either bareminerals original powder foundation or sheisido self refreshing powder.
Hi Sam thank you for this review I love powder foundation the two that I use are Lancome powder foundation and the makeup forever velvet matte I think they look great on my skin.

I love powder foundation, it’s so easy to use and feels lightweight on the skin
I bounce between. I do have 2 powders and 2 liquid ( L’Oréal fresh wear of course)❤️
What a trooper! Thanks for sticking it out to bring us your findings.
Bare minerals was my first powder. Loved it. But my skin started to get dry and I moved to liquids and the dewy look became a thing!

I find that all NYX powders oxidize on me and also very patchy, it’s so frustrating!
Just used the liquid for the first time today and my feelings are so mixed (had to mix with my fave Loreal fresh wear) Love that I'm not shiny at the end of the day but its soo drying though
Great powders.i use on my clients
amazing!!
I been using more powders foundation, i feel iam less oily. You try using a lighter color. Thank you for this review, havent tried this one yet.
Glad you’re liking them too!!
What mascara are you wearing? Your lashes look great!
Pressed powders foundations are my favorite makeup items. ❣
Shade - *Caramel*
Yup!
I’ve really gotten into powder foundations in the past couple years for a quick look. Shame about this one.
I love powder foundation when it’s a good one! But wow, the NYX is NOT it! The Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten is my all time favorite.
I just bought the Laura Geller one, it looks good on the skin but the shade I got was to dark for me and if I go down one shade it says is for olive undertones and I am neutral, so I am so sad I will not find the right one for me because I really liked the LG powder foundation
Yikes...coverfx is a good way to go for powder foundation
Goodness you look beautiful 💕💕💕💕
The color match is terrible. Moreover, it looks like it's only good as a setting powder. Maybe it will perform better if you had a primer underneath it.
Im a fan of both powder foundation and liquid foundation 🤗
Thank you for this review.. its a no for me. I would like to ask what you are using in your hair? Your curls are shapappin! We have the same curl pattern I think and I need something cos my curls are thirty and sad! 🤭
I love powder foundation!
I'm insomnia ridden as well. Usually I sleep great. Sigh.
Caramel was too dark for you
Yup that’s mentioned
Loved the liquid one. I think i’ll stay away from this one!
I love NYX stay matte not flat but issa no for this one.
I always found powder and powder foundation super heavy on my skin, during my oiliest and dryest days, but this one looks pretty 😅
Powder??!! Me and my dry skin: 🏃🏿♀️ 🏃🏿♀️
But its still a good review✅😄
Coal miner chic 😆
What the coal miner look ISNT what you looking for ? Lol
I kept expecting you to abort mission, but you came through.
