I have polyarteritis nodosa. I was diagnosed 2 years ago at Albany Medical Center in New York. apparently I was their first case and it took them a long time to figure out why my left breast was black and my right hand fingers were black. they were confused because I did not have hepatitis or any symptoms that go along with this disease. there are not many people that have this disease it is apparently very rare.
yes it is very rare to get. And no one knows how it starts. I've been diagnosed 3 years ago with it. And it's still a up hill battle. My PAN caused severe nerve damage in my right foot and many bruises under my shins and fore arms. I feel your pain and you're not alone. :)

I'm wondering if maybe since people that don't have hepatitis B have polyateritis nodosa, if maybe, just maybe it could have been caused by the hepatitis B vaccine?
he mentioned that 20% of people with PAN have hep B, so you're part of the majority 80% that do not have it
Carla Amen ---- I think I have pan caused by immuno inflammatory reaction to Rocephin / Ceftriaxone. How can I get an official diagnosis? My testicles are swollen from the shot.
