Bambu Lab are doing what they do best - sticking to the same working hardware, but making it more appealing! The P1S is iterating on the insanely popular P1P, but taking some of the premium features of the X1C, and making them available for basically the same price. It's a winning formula.
Watch and learn which features are included!
Bambu Lab Sent me the printer at no cost for the purposes of the review, no money changed hands, opinions are entirely my own, if you can even find any.
There is also an upgrade kit link - check this page - shrsl.com/45b1r

Bambu is the fastest growing plant
I see what you did there, took me 3 secs though.
*two drums and a cymbal fall off a cliff*
are you referring to all the Chinese “plants” that flood every discussion of this printer to claim it is perfect 😂
This become one of the best 3d printing chanells out there so fast
$100 more buys you a gold pei bed
Carbon filter
Aux air blower
Enclosure
Not too shabby actually.
It really isn't!
You forgot about the the cable chain, the stronger toolhead cable and the mainboard fan as well as the chamber fan and housing.
And you forgot, only $70 more than the CR K1. Seriously, this thing is a K1 killer, as there is absolutely no chance of a K1 with AMS.
@@jbrou123My point was about the value for the upgrade from P1P to P1S. But you're right. K1 is nowhere near that value in my opinion as well. And it even comes with a smaller build volume. The latter was the biggest reason not to by the K1 as I already have multiple printers with a 235²mm² for my other printers and this would not add any value to me. The 256²mm² build plate is a significant upgrade to me.
Better than buying a third party enclosure that still requires you to print parts.
It's a damn good deal at this point.
I was Just getting ready to purchase the X1C ... now i am back to the drawing board to look at this..
There are only a few differences, that let the X1C stand out: Better screen and better camera. The LiDAR is not worth it in a lot of cases unless you don't want to stick to a few filament brands and want to buy cheap filaments. In that case the LiDAR lets you calibrate the filament on every print. But you will need to do the calibration on every print, because it is lost after that. Most people recommend tuning the filaments in the slicer and skip calibration, because it achieves better results in most cases. Also the printhead is lighter that way, which results in slightly better print quality at high speeds. If I had the choice I would get the P1S-Combo, because the AMS is significantly cheaper that way. Also get the hardened steel extruder gears and finally buy a few hotends: Hardened steel 0.4mm hotend without the fan, thermistor and heater. One 0.6mm full assembly hotend and maybe one 0.8mm full assembly hotend. That way you get the best of both worlds at a very good price. If you're not interested in printing abrasive filaments or only very little then skip the upgrades except maybe the bigger nozzles - in that case I'd get the full assembly hotends, so you have some spare heaters, silicon socks, thermistors and hotend fans.
I forgot one difference that may be useful for special filaments: The heatbed of the X1C goes up to 110°C, while the P1P/P1S is limited to 100°C
This is awesome. Printer wars. Like the HP wars in the auto industry. This will make everything better.
Well, better for the end consumer
Whose competing with Bambu? Prusa? LOL... 😆
Hopefully they can work a bit on ease of repairs, their support staff, and letting users access the logs.
Two vids in a row, Nice!
An mp3 player with a big glass roof! I admit it looks quite nice.
Damn that is a crazy good price, you can get that or a prusa kit. Oh damn 😮
Prusa are in BIG trouble.
Smart move by Bambu. Take the parts they already have to fill that void from the X1. In my opinion, this seems very targeted towards print farms. Enclosed, low cost, fast. Anecdotal evidence based on FB group, Reddit and most YT videos, that most consumers people are printing PLA with their Bambu printers and don't need an enclosure. However, print farms don't need the fancy display from the X1C but in many cases might need an enclosure for printing ABS/ASA/etc, and P1P "Print your own" was a hassle. The only thing missing at this point is real print farm software.
PLA is what I started with like I am sure most people do as well since it is easier to print with until i found out that I needed to be able to print some parts out of a material that needed to be in the hot summer sun. I do not always print with ABS or other materials but it really is nice to have the ability to do so.
@@MrBassard Bambu has all the stats on printing because nearly all prints go through their cloud. I'd love to see them release numbers of number of prints processed in the last year, and a breakdown by material and even by machine type.
@@JohnOlson What I would like to see as well is improved filament profiles, which I know they will want to work more on their filament they sell, but I would like to see additional profiles added since pretty much everything goes back to them (provided you use their "cloud") so it should not be too hard for them to do. Do it as a peer review so that everyone gets to vote on which works best.
@@Broskisnowski You absolutely cannot "just use a fan". A fan will cause currents that will spread styrenes around the space the printer is in. You need real fume extraction or a carbon filter (Bambu's, a Nevermore, etc).
8 colors is really nice on an AMS, would love to see what you can make!
yoo I found you in the wild
From the official site
Can P1P be upgraded to P1S?
Yes, P1P can be upgraded to P1S with the upgrade kit. Purchasing an upgrade kit as a set will be more cost-effective than buying individual spare parts.
What is the difference between P1S and X1C?
P1S is based on the P1P with an improved cooling solution and enclosure. However, it is not recommended to directly print fiber-reinforced filaments such as glass fiber or carbon fiber, before an extruder and hotend upgrade is done. The X1-Carbon is equipped with Micro lidar for advanced AI detection functions and offers more convenient and efficient screen interaction.
What is the difference between P1S and P1P?
Compared to the P1P, the P1S offers a fully enclosed printing chamber and a more powerful cooling solution, which includes an Auxiliary Part Cooling Fan for cooling prints, a Chamber Regulator Fan to stabilize the inner chamber temperature, and a Control Board Fan to assist in cooling the control board. Furthermore, we have equipped it with an activated carbon filter to provide a solution for printing filaments such as ABS that are prone to emitting odors and harmful gases during the printing process.
For more information, please visit P1S page or refer to the product specifications on our official wiki.
Could you confirm that we could upgrade the extruder to a hardened steel one like the X1C one ? Some people say no because the extra gear that is listed on Bambu site seems to be only for the X1C.
Thanks in advance for your reply
Good video, needs more TPU though
I was having a thought, not relevant to the video per say, is there a simple way in a slicer to increase the G00 rapid travel, like when you write programs for CNC lathes and mills? Great videos and thanks.
Glad I did not jumped on the creality k1 train😂 this one is way nicer❤
And only $70 more than K1.
Is it limited to nozzle temp? Or does it go over 300°c now?
I was hoping to see a review on the P1S. When do we think that review will be online?
What Amazon filament do u recommend for p1s from Amazon?
i was going to buy a creality k1 speedy becuase it had many of the same features as the bambu labs but i have alsways wanted to try out the disolvable supports and muti material and color printing as well as things like abs and pc but the creality machin cant do any of that so i was gping to just deal with it but now, there is a far better way to have all the things the x1c has that i like and noextras with the addition of an enclosure and filter so i dont have to worry about fumes for any kind of material turning this effectivly into the super machine.
If you want to keep your AMS spider relevant, maybe try an 8-color hueforge print?
Man I want to buy this, but part of me wants to wait another 6 months to a year to see what competitors come out with.
Or what else Bambu Labs might release. Maybe a larger build volume printer?
haha, there's a lot of speculation about that bigger printer. I got no info on that.
In my case, I'm getting a Voron 2.4 300, is plenty good, as capable as the X1 and (if everything goes scoring to plan) faster as well
And in 6 months you will want to wait and see what comes out in 6 months.
I totally get that. I got my P1P less than a moth ago and I bough every possible accessory for it, as well as the AMS. If I waited one month longer I would have saved over $300 (the AMS coupon, and sale price as well the free filaments are already accounted for in that number).
would you say it was like a P1P with all the common upgrades? it seems like that to me. I would also not be surprised to see the P1P closed out after existing stock is depleted.
I could see the P1P with another $50 price drop and staying around for an even lower price option.
I’m liking it
Big Tree Tech have recently given the option to improve the interface with the Panda Touch for the P1 series.
The X1C, other than the interface, has a higher speed camera, the LiDAR that helps with flow control and the full alumium enclosure.
These are missing from the P1S . The LiDAR, as far as I can tell, is mainly used for flow control calibration, and out of the box, if you are not doing super accurate engineering prints, I don't think most enthusiasts and makers would notice the difference.
With third party screens now available, and good remote control options, I think the P1S is avery interesting option for the enthusiast and maker community who want something that just works out of the box, rather than buying a printer that needs to have hundreds of dollars of upgrades added to make it work. Nothing wrong if you are the type that likes to play. I just prefer to print.
ACABO DE COMPRAR LA p1s combo 🥰
Glad to see you've finally been turned... I had to put up with enough of your grief about it
new printer who dis?
Need to figure out if the LiDAR is worth the extra cost - I have the P1P and never felt like it was lacking. 🤷♀️
it does things, but whether you need the things, is another question!
~6 months with the X1CC, the lidar still struggles to give better than an estimate calibration, and i just run calibration tests anyway. They are built into orca slicer for a reason. I like the aluminum and the screen on the X1C but...
The P1SC is probably the best option if there aren't any temperature issues.
Never had an issue with first layer on P1P
It's not worth it, if that is the only thing you compare. It sometimes causes problems which make the printer unreliable. People even suggest to not use it on the X1C and rather tune in the filaments you have in Bambu Studio. This will produce better results and make it more reliable.
Also the lidar will not benefit you if you use the AMS because it calibrates only one of the rolls.
That said: If you use very cheap and inconsistent filaments a lot and from many different brands or even no-name, then the LiDAR will probably benefit you, because you can't calibrate a no-name filament and expect the second roll to be the same. But you will need to perform the calibration for each print, because the calibration results are never saved and lost after the print is done. But as mentioned above: This still only works for one color.
I have an X1C and rarely ever use the LiDAR:
* On the textured PEI plate it doesn't work anyway
* The first layer inspection actually ruins prints because it moves an oozing nozzle across it - I've turned it off
* The flow calibration is the only thing I use now and then, but its results aren't very consistent, as Bambu themselves admit.
All of it is great. However, I’m waiting on a larger bed size option. 300mmx300mm or more minimum.
Me too! 300mmx300mmx400mm is the way.
The screen really doesn't bother me. While I'm used to a web interface I find the 80's radio like screen on my P1P works just fine.
So, does Bambu have any plans to redesign the AMS such that it works reliably with other spool sizes?
The back rolling pin is able to be removed. Someone on youtube made a 3d printed mod so that the removed back rolling pin can snap onto the print mod that snaps to the back again, thus being able to accommodate a 500g spool. If I find the vid link, I'll post it here again.
@@redone823 Sweet, thanks for the tip
What does it look like when it changes filament during printing/ Does it purge each change? I want to print with dissolvable support and I'm not sure how that can be accomplished with one nozzle?
Dissolvable support isn't terribly compatible due to the flexible nature.
So the P1S is basically just a P1P but with most of the enclosure goodies of the X1C? Fair enough.
Oh and a better bed but that should have always been there IMO
they bed is 20 bucks. The fan was included in the early bird adopters. There are several enclosures for the P1P available, like the Vision enclosure.
So it's more a less fancy X1 without the C, without the aluminum, the display and the lidar.
@@hassosigbjoernson5738 Yeah, although I think that because the lidar and sensor suite is the primary selling point for the X1C, it's closer to a P1P with cheap and early bird upgrades and an enclosure for those who don't want to deal with printing their own. I see it more as a less DIY P1P than a less advanced X1C, especially because of the name.
@@hassosigbjoernson5738 The biggest difference is that you now can get a bundle with the AMS where the ams is only $250.
I just callibrate flow dynamics on my P1S and installed a 10€ Touch display from ali express. Dont need no lidar sensor for double the price
Seing that the combo version is only 250€ more than the normal version, makes me feel like the price of the AMS is way too high even when it's on sale for 359€. Oh and the combo even comes with some filament which is not included when bought seperately.
The AMS combo has always had a discount that I am aware of. I believe it is only full price bought on its own.
@@joescalon541 When I bought my P1P one month ago there was no way to get it as a bundle with the AMS. And adding the AMS to the order results in additional shipping costs on top. At that time the AMS would have cost me 399€.
kinda regretting getting the p1p when i did, but apparently they'll sell an upgrade kit
Hasn't been confirmed yet, if I hear anything I'll update you all.
@@LostInTech3D It's already on site
The upgrade kit cost $150 from Bambu
@@emilkhaziev1864 @LostInTech3D Not only that, if you already have most of the upgrades, then you can buy the side panels, front coverplate and the back cover separately for about $80 (maybe less)
I ordered the p1p including the auxiliary fan two days ago.... Time to cancel that order. I was going to enclose the printer anyways and with this, the price is basically identical to what you'd pay with the upgrades minus the time it would cost you to do it.
It’s actually cheaper
... minus the option to customize it at least a little bit.
And the "time" should not be an issue for a hobby that consists of printing stuff for DIY and customization.
@@hassosigbjoernson5738 I use 3d printers as tools.i couldn't care less about tinkering or customizing. Time saved on getting a tool to work instead of having to fiddle with it is a big plus for me.
Im looking to upgrade (from an sv06) but I cant decide between the p1s combo or the new creality k1 max,
Its basically come down to bigger bed vs AMS and the incredible low maintenance of bambu.
I cannot decide :(
I can't help you. I am supposedly getting a K1 max in for review soon tho
P1Ps The K1 Max is a junk box. I have two K1 Max, rush builds with NO quality control. Creality has died.
in my experience creality not so good
That is really cool… now it’s more like first in Tech instead of lay in Tech 😊.
I was hoping someone would cover whether they have fixed how loud their printers tend to be
no change in the sound levels.
@@LostInTech3D thank you, I have to keep my printer in my office so it’s a deciding factor to me
Does steel nozzle here mean the same as hardened steel nozzle? And does the p1s have the hardened steel extruder gears? Thanks! 👍
Not a hardened steel nozzle, it is stainless steel. You can get the hardened steel nozzle/hot end for $15. Not a hardened steel extruder, but you can get that upgrade for $20.
P1 series comes with neither, X1C comes with both hardened versions.
The PEI sheet is a welcome little surprise, but other than that exactly as expected in terms of features. That said, I don't see the P1P staying on the lineup at the current prices. Why not go for a fully featured enclosure at just USD 100 more? If you can't afford USD 699, you really shouldn't be spending USD 599, either. And at that exact price, the only real killer feature the P1P has compared to the Creality K1 is AMS-compatibility. And as soon as Creality inevitably peek out from being up their own arses again, people will have plenty of such options for their K1 series printers. On that note, I also don't see the X1C staying at the current price point if it sticks around at all. It is clearly better than the P1S, but USD 500 more so? I don't see it. I expect the X1S to get even more features than the X1C for more or less the same price and the E in X1E to stand for Extended, i.e. large, on a direct competitor to the Pruša XL.
"Why not go for a fully featured enclosure at just USD 100 more?" ... Because you already could with adding an enclosure like the Vison enclosure to the P1P and have a little bit customization going.
I wonder why BL brought that option ... they could have only added an upgrade kit ... which they have. ;o)
I would argue, that some people might not want that enclosure and rather customize it. So it makes sense to spend less. However the difference is actually less than $100 because the P1S comes with the cable chain and the two fans, as well as the filter. So the difference is only about $50 or less. That means, if one wants the glass plates for their custom design, they would probably save money when choosing the P1S and they get the metal backplate and the side panels for free, as well as a bigger front cover (which is less than $10).
Since the P1P is on sale right now this might be a strategy to sell the remaining P1Ps and switch to P1S - maybe that is a countermove to the K1 from Creality. And the higher price tag compered to the K1 makes sense due to the bigger build volume.
So yeah. Maybe you're right about the P1P becoming discontinued. From a business perspective: What doesn't sell, does not deserve to be on the shelf - as it happened to the X1 (non carbon).
Is the nozzle hardened steel? For abrasives
Nope, they come with the standard stainless steel nozzles. Need to buy the hardened steel nozzles. But they're so cheap not a big deal.
also most of the time unless it's a big print or a lot of prints, just send it. The nozzle won't abrade that much.
Multi tool heads some with Prusa
I was hoping they would have addressed the lighting, they havent, it's the same as the P1P.
I am more interested in what succeeds the X1C, hopefully it is a toolchanger printer!
That would drive the cost way above what they cost now.
I think the light ought to be pretty easy to solve.
@@LostInTech3D It is, and that is why I was hoping Bamboo Lab would do it
@@MrBassard Yes it would but that is the printer I and many others want, and those that dont want a toolchanger would still have a choice of the existing machines and the wasteful AMS which when you think about it the AMS waste is very expensive also.
@@AndrewAHayes Oh i am not saying people would not want a tool changer 3d printer but it will be difficult to make so it will be as reliable as what bambu has already put out. Even Prusa that is known for reliability has not actually put out their XL with tool changer yet. As for the AMS yes there is waste but it is a trade of for not having an idex or a system like the pallette 3 that welds filament together. I would love to see someone make a tool changer system that will work reliably.
do it have dry filaments like 1x have?
Yup same AMS
Does the P1S have hardened extruder gears?
Not a hardened steel nozzle, it is stainless steel. You can get the hardened steel nozzle/hot end for $15. Not a hardened steel extruder, but you can get that upgrade for $20.
I have x1c and I disable the first layer dsetect (I detect myself), not using camera, keep x1 in the closet and using my pc to print, not using colour screen much ---> I should have waited and bought P1S!! and saving $1,000
Is the hotend now the Hardened Steel version? Is the Extruder Gear also Hardened Steel?
No.
extruder is steel, not sure about hardness. Hotend is the plain steel, so you would have to buy the hardened as an extra.
Not a hardened steel nozzle, it is stainless steel. You can get the hardened steel nozzle/hot end for $15. Not a hardened steel extruder, but you can get that upgrade for $20.
Hm.. I just ordered the glass door, top, hinge etc last week to upgrade my P1P to an enclosed printer... But now they sell complete kit for less (with side panels!!). :(
oh is there a kit there now?

You can order the side panels, back panel and front bezel separately!
@@kevinw7319 Yes but in total it's more than the kit.
I'm confused by all the different bed plates, can you do a simple to understand about each plate and if any glue is ever needed, thanks again. great video.
I sure can!
Not a video but this might be helpful to you right now:
The cool plate is used to avoid the chamber getting too hot when printing PLA. For all other filaments you can use the engineering plate, the high temp plate or the textured PEI plate. Some filaments stick too well on the plates and will damage the surfaces (for example PETG likes to destroy the textured PEI). In such cases the glue stick acts as a layer between the build plate and the print. That way the print is less likely to break the surface of the build plate. You can essentially use glue stick or liquid glue for every filament. And for some filaments it helps with adhesion if you notice warping.
If you want to print something, than ask yourself:
1. What finish are you looking for - smooth or textured
1.a for smooth you can choose the engineering plate or the high temp plate
1.b for textured just use the textured PEI or some other textured surface
2. is the print likely to warp? if yes, then use adhesive like the glue stick
3. is the filament going to damage your surface? if so then make sure to use glue stick or liquid glue or similar adhesive
4.a When you have chosen smooth then use the engineering plate if you're some specialty filaments like PA, PC, PET-CF
4.b When you have chosen smooth for a normal filament other than PLA, then the high temp plate is the one you can use
4.c When you have chosen smooth and use PLA then use the cool plate - but in this case glue stick or liquid glue is highly recommended.
5 You may want to experiment as much as you want, but be aware that printing PLA with the door and lid closed on a heated bed can clog the hotend when you start a large print. This highly depends on the kind of PLA you print. Some get soft at 50°C and some are even okay at 65°C. Most of the time 55 will be the point where you will get some problems.
And they announced it 1 day after I finished printing ARC enclosure, and received mc and chamber fan, new cable, cable chain and top glass. Great 😡
sounds like you had a good time though :D
Would prefer a customized P1P over the P1S anytime.
Is Cable Chain Assembly included?
yes! did the p1p not have cable chain?
@@LostInTech3DI think P1P didn't have it out of the box. That is a nice addition as it adds to the price.
I don't have any need to print different colors but I do have some ideas where it would be handy to print nylon or ABS for a structural part and TPU for a flexible portion of the part, but AMS doesn't support TPU filament.
0:26 - I cringe when I see what looks like a Bambu Lab printer trying to saw through its upper X axis carbon fiber guide rod with it's cable chain.
I'm still offended by the notion that Bambu wants me to send my prints to my 3D printer via a Chinese server. For similar reasons, I don't want a Bambu printer with a video camera.
I'm also not convinced that the carbon fiber motion control components will last. I know they're available for purchase now, but I don't want to spend that money and spend a few hours of labor when it's not needed. I like that the Creality K1 uses proven steel guide rods and uses much larger stepper motors to get the fast speed with those heavy duty parts.
At least the P1S has a PEI sheet. Hopefully, Bambu isn't recommending glue stick. It's 2023. Glue sticks are so 2010.
the cable chain doesnt touch the rods.
Is it any quieter than the x1?
same noise levels as X1
No Option to buy in the USA yet :(
Early days!
How loud is the p1s
same as the X1 - not quiet, but with the door closed, it's ok
it's worth paying an extra 550E for the x1c?
If you have it to spend, yes - you get a faster camera that's better to watch in the app, and you get much better AMS control with the screen. If you don't see the value, then sure, the P1S is pretty much everything else!
If you are about premium design, touchscreen and have the money: yes.
People buying Ferrari all the time although cheaper sports cars can be as fast.
The X1's enclosure is definately metal, as I've heared of a freak incident where an X1 owner found that his enclosure was connected to mains....
Thankfully I only heared of this once, and bambu seems to have fixed whatever was wrong with that machine, and no other machine has had this defect as far as I am aware
oops!
@@LostInTech3D I have no idea how it happened, but I guess the plastic enclosure can be a positive for the P1S. Guaranteed not to shock you.
You've really got to question bambu labs quality control and consistency, because this looks like totally different from the printer from the one @nathanbuildsrobots reviewed earlier.
P1P to P1S upgrade kit is $150 !!!!
yep I linked it in the description
If only they put as much effort and love into their customer service. 2 weeks after raising a ticket and still not even a first response
Attractive package at the price. It's a shame the S doesn't stand for "silent". Bambu really should adopt Trinamic stepper drivers.
Not sure what's going on with that sticker at 3:59? Not a functional issue, but not good for quality control confidence.
it would still be loud with trinamic drivers, vorons are _not_ quiet, you have to typically run them in spreadcycle. The creality K1 is a testament to this, it's also loud. Mostly fan noises on that one, but I can still hear it through the floor downstairs. Fast, apparently, is loud.
@@LostInTech3D yes. It's never going to be a quiet printer, but any reduction in noise helps.
I wish they would include better fans and a silent profile! No need to print so fast every time!
But a silent profile which would also slow down the fans would be a great addition.
@@hassosigbjoernson5738 yeah! If Airwolf, the super fast helicopter in the 1980s TV show, could have a stealth mode that allowed it to sneak up behind people, why can’t this printer? 😂
P1P-XL when ;(
A $500 P1P will eliminate all bamboo killers
Yes, we are waiting patiently for that prize!
honestly as good and cool as this printer looks I feel absolutely screwed over. i bought the p1p literally a month before it went on sale(which sucked), then my dad told me I couldn't keep it in his front room so i had to pay another 100 bucks for an enclosure kit to put the printer in my room, but I primarily print with pla, and tpu so to put the enclosure on I had to buy a soldering iron and a roll of petg which was like another 70 bucks. after i finished the enclosure though the internal temp was way too high for pla and so I had to purchase the auxiliary fan. And now I'm being told that if i had just waited a month i could've bought the p1s which comes with all the features i ended up paying extra for at the same price as the model with out the extra. i mean that just cold.
Write them and ask for a refund, or at least a promotion code for the next buy
I mean its not that they want to screw you over. Its just basic business evolution tho. You buy something cool and a little bit later the next cool thing comes.
Like dude I feel bad for the people that bought AnkerMake M5 because it was high tech and fast af when it first came out. Only few weeks in, Bambu came with X1(C), few month in, the P1P was there.
Its not cool for you as a customer, but it is what it is. I myself bought the P1P 2 weeks ago, wanted the AMS too, but 359€ is too much for that. As a combo with only 250€ upsell I would have bought it. Shit happens.
@kawu42 I mean yes new things always come out, but in this case it happened seemingly out of no where. I mean the k1 was announced to be coming out months ago, when Apple releases a new phone they introduce it like several months prior. My thing about this is that they trade marked the name, announced its release, created a new price bracket by decreasing the price of the p1p, and sent out review models all in what seemed to be 2 weeks. If they had announced it literally a few weeks earlier I know alot of people would not have bought the p1p at 699. Because of the time line it feels less like a new generation and more like a rash release.
@@chaoticgolflabs Funny that you used Apple as an example here. Because at Apple announces their new phones usually in the same week as they start selling it.
For example my iPhone 12 was announced on tuesday, october 13th and started selling on friday, october 16th.
The difference to Apple is just that we usually know when Apple would drop something new. So it doesn't feel like a surprising release. The reason is clear: They announce something new, everyone is exited for the first few days to get their hands on the new product.
If apple would announce their new things month before dropping them to customers, the exitement would be gone already.
From a business perspective, it just makes sense to hold behind a wall with new products until they are ready to ship.
@@chaoticgolflabs Apple very regularly goes "so here's the new thing and you can get it next week". It sucks that you got one that is very slightly "worse", but you also got it earlier.
P1S looks like the PS2 writing.. wonder if that was intentional (haven't even watched the video yet... Good old advert for Elegoo Neptune😅)
a bit like it, not as square. I found P1S to be really hard to do the "font stuff" for the thumbnail. X1 works way better.
Please don't kill Bambu's mom on-screen
If only they would offer the option of eliminating the cloud and support Octoprint. I don't want to be tethered to a cloud platform.
you don't have to use the cloud, but no octoprint.
@@LostInTech3D they certainly don't make it easy. They want you go through the cloud.
@@UnCoolDad Why? You DON'T have to use the cloud.
@@hassosigbjoernson5738 can you use the camera without the cloud? Why don't they let you use wifi without the cloud? I think they deliberately limit functionality.
👀
exactly. Nice logo!
sweet...we're all just working through the phases...and thanks, you want it? I'll give it to you
Bruh do the Neptune review already
LOL
great to see bambu innovating not just the market but also the name with the bambu lab Piss printer
i feel scammed as i bought my p1p 2 weeks ago...
There is an upgrade kit, check it out
@@LostInTech3D yeah it looks tempting!
Oh boy! This is making it tough for me. This is top of my list for now, since the combo (AMS) price is slightly less than the K1 Max. My only reason to get a Max is the bigger volume. I plan to do a lot of cosplay prints so volume is more important but then again, I want to print out toys for my toddlers so that's where the AMS would be handy. So ugh! Maybe I'll get the P1S and wait for a budget Klipperized "Plus" 3D printer for cosplay stuff. My wife is going to kill me! 😂😂😂😂😂😱💀
I hope Sovol brings an upgraded SV04 with Klipper, of course IDEX and 300x300.
Well..... i love my bambu P1P with selfprinted encolsure.... BUT i bought it 1 month before for 770 Euro.... 2 weeks ago they sold it for 650 euros AND NOW the bring the brand new P1S for about 699 Euro (i guess)..... yes i am the idiot - what a total unfair marketing policy
That's mostly a sour taste because of hindsight. They didn't defraud you out of money; you willingly gave it to them in exchange for a product they deliver. That's what you got.
prusa shaking in his boots lol
I didn't have time to flesh out the argument, but prusa is the casualty of this creality v bambu corexy war. I'll go into why I think that at some point.
@@LostInTech3D its just sad man, you can buy 2 p1p for the price of 1 super outdated prusa machine
@@AndroidA258 In some points the MK4 isn't outdated (maintenance, customization, ...). And some tests with Alpha firmware showed even a faster Benchy than the X1C!
BL is getting many points for their "stolen" Bambu Studio slicer which is a forked PrusaSlicer. And that shows the problem here: Prusa did the development and gave it away open source and Bambu Lab benefited from this without giving something back.
When Prusa is going closed source ... the innovation slows down.
@@hassosigbjoernson5738 prusa is much more expensive while having less features, preusa doesnt get pitty points for prusa slicer
@@AndroidA258the biggest differences is that the LiDAR can do first layer checking to see if it went down properly, auxiliary fans and enclosure. The ams is undoubtedly better than Prusas mmu. Whilst the mk4 looks really outdated it is using some of the most modernized components. Think of it like a sleeper build pc: old case but the hardware is top of the line. They share most of the same features, they do have their differences as well. Admittedly Prusa is taking a while to update their firmware and get features working.
Looks neat, but this had damn well better not be the "project" they were hinting at the other day!
We want a BIG Bambu! MOAR SPES FOAR MOAR FINGS!
I don’t like their privacy policy.
Mmmm nope not for me with the OLD text style tiddly wink screen. Laurie. NZ.
NO TPU (tests) NO PEACE
I'm gonna do it, I promise, any time now! geez
This printer is nothing to write home about...is "just" a VERY well rounded printer at a price that you can just click the buy button without seconds thoughts (unless you only print with PLA and PETG).
You can get the hardened steel nozzle/hot end for $15. A hardened steel extruder upgrade for $20. Then print whatever material.
Don't make any difference t me as I can't afford any of them!
Buy a Sovol SV06 or 07 then.
Have you tried not being poor?
Great price to let a company spy on you.
If you truly let fear guide you, just use LAN. But you don't care to know this, right?
@@condorman6293 all of Bambu software including their slicer requires an internet connection. When you sign their t.o.s you grant them access to even your home network lan or wireless. You do know this, right? You need an active internet connection for support, firmware etc... You do know this, right? While the average hobbyist that doesn't make money off their printer, there are other folks that use these for their business and require network connectivity... You know this, right? 🤦🏽♂️
@@o0mrrobot0o26 None of what you're saying is accurate. You dont need to connect to the cloud for any of that.
You can download the slicer and use it without logging in, only use LAN on your printer, and send files over LAN or SD card without ever connecting to the internet.
That is the price of closed source and a relatively cheap price.
Just imagine the US government puts Bambu Lab on a black list like Huawei ... because there could be some 3D printers be used in the industry ... ;o)
@@hassosigbjoernson5738 it may be a cheap price for you but not for me and many others in the industry. Imagine developing a product that could net you millions or more and then this Chinese company comes in and steals your hard work and sells it because you signed away your right to privacy. Better yet, maybe you print some parts for a firearm you own and you get put on some watch list. People are so easy to give up their rights to privacy for a nice shiny toy. It's really sad. Like I've said before. If you're some hobbyist that doesn't care about privacy good on you but there are others that actually care about that stuff.
Expensive machines to just print plastic junk, you need to learn 3d modeling before it's worth spending so much money on a 3d printer.
Ah, an informed viewer 😁
Kinda wish they just...kept the X1 available and made it at this price.....
But the P1S is clearly priced to tell Creality they have no chance, especially with just how....Creality quality the K1 is.
I really think the margins wouldn't allow the X1 at this price. But this is really most of the nice parts!
Whats strange is that the p1p cost morre than the p1s in Germany..... If i had know that the p1s would come earlyer I wouldnt have bought the p1p and also the extra ams..... Hopefully there is an upgrade kit or something 🥲
In Germany the P1P is 649 € and the P1S 749 €.
I'm a little pissed since I just recently bought the P1P
