Joe Kennedy had an unreal amount of ambition.
The legacy of the Kennedy family is a facade created by the parents. The mother and father truly did a number on the nine children in the family. I once despised JFK for his unscrupulous activities, but in the years since I’ve come to feel empathy for him. His parents tormented him to the nth degree. It’s amazing the JFK was able to rise above the abuse his parents reaped on him to have compassion for anyone. Regrettably that compassion wasn’t extended to his wife until the last year of his life after the death of their infant son. Again, the result of the emotional deficiencies of his parents. “American Royal Family” is not a title I would attach to this screwed up family.

He was actually not a bootlegger. That’s a common misconception. He sold liquor when it was legal. He just had exclusive distribution rights. This made him a fortune.
Take it for what it is worth and read between the lines.. this man's life today is the complete opposite of what it was then...so anyone who wonders whether we face karma in the next life...well we definitely do so don't worry about those elitests they will be back to live under the policies that they put in place themselves.. like I said I know that from personal experience read between the lines and take it for what it is worth

His real controversies include rosemary Kennedy, his anti-semite views, defeatist views during Roosevelt's first campaign, and his family-friendly relationship with Joseph McCarthy. Through his life he made a huge push to get his sons elected being John F. Kennedy, Ted Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy.
