Love that Teddy doesn't just show watches in his shop, neither is he bias towards those in his shop. Just trying to show his fans the best information possible.
Diameter, lug width, and lug to lug are so much more important together than one or the other. I bought a Willard and traded it a couple months later for a SPB143 because the lug to lug fit my wrist better. On the other hand, my SSK gmt, turtle, and Samurai are fantastic because they’re all around 46-48mm lug to lug with 22mm lug width and larger diameters. One more example, is my Tudor pelagos 39. Yes, the 21mm lug width is a little frustrating but after owning it for 6 months it was done because that’s what properly suits the watch. The insane taper on the bracelet wouldn’t be the same if they had made it 20mm. Always try a watch on before writing it off!
Well, 41 to 42 is the sweet spot for my 7"1/2 wrist, so thank you Teddy for giving me some ideas! Very much tending towards rectangular shapes again though, so I'd say 30 to 35 mm is my sweet spot there. Cheers!
The Sinn U50 such a handsome rugged piece that just shouts out tool watch. Don't think you could get any more tool watch than this brilliantly designed piece.
Teddy the knowledge that I have gained of watches over the last two years from your channel has really made me love every aspect of this industry. From a true fan, thanks!!!
Seamaster 300…I dive with this all the time. People always say “Jesus, you are diving with that?” My response…”It’s a dive watch meant to be with me under the sea!” It is my favorite.
Hey @TeddyBaldassarre . I watched your video with Kevin O'Leary where you talked about the Seiko Presage Sharp Edged GMT Limited Edition SPB303J1, and I loved it. I couldn't find one where I live (Germany), but I tracked one down at a Seiko dealer in Finland. Now waiting for the watch to arrive. I wouldn't have even looked at buying a Seiko without your video, so thanks!
I love the Aqua Terra, But the small Second model I prefer a bit more, The Snowflake also Is beautiful. Breitling B01 with that Mint Green Dial is Stunning as is the IWC Chrono. thank you Teddy once again for a great Video. Enjoyed it very much.
If I have to choose Omega seamaster(nice heritage appearance) JLC Polaris (all time classic) Tudor(because is Tudor!!!so simple 😉) About dress Nomos Omega de ville Last category CW Tudor chrono panda!!!!! Breitling n IWC Finally from all the categories my choice is Tudor panda dial chrono I just love this watch (Tudor is my favorite brand anyway!!!!)😍😍😍😍
Sinn!!! 👍 Black fully tegimented on a red strap is a winner to me. I have been researching long and deep and have purchased the Sinn U50. Oh my, what a watch!
Omega Deville is definitely a sleeper with the 8800 movement in either of the three types. Speedmaster 57 is another extremely good looking watch for a chrono especially the sandwich dial. The Seamaster 300 heritage is the best diver out there simple but brilliant. Longines record is another good value watch with cosc although its 40mm
The Navitimer at 41mm is awesome but the only problem is the dial colors in that size.. hope they release the original black dial at 41mm or even better a re- release of the 806 with the twin jets logo.
The Deville range is totally underated because you got two lineups the prestige with thin automatic models then the tressor with the handwound movement
I've been wanting a dive watch- so many choices! I'm leaning towards the Marathon Arctic GSAR in 41mm at around $1850. They have the "jumbo" at 46mm which is a little big IMO. The white dial of the Arctic looks great and sets the watch apart from others, who generally sport a black dial. Also the tritium lume is pretty rare these days and indispensable for a watch of this caliber
@@michaeljordan6008 Perhaps you would care to provide examples of why the brand is "mediocre" or by what metric you use? If a watch brand is no good at all they won't enjoy longevity. Marathon has been around a very long time making mil-spec timepieces
Datejust 41 for the win - especially blue dial, smooth bezel Oyster bracelet. Elegant, sporty, versatile and perfectly proportioned. The perfect watch.
Wow Orient did a nice job. I'll be on the market for a Longines Conquest, I have the original (still a great watch) but think they're different enough to have both.
Wow, are we supposed to be impressed that finishing "the" bracelet takes a full day? How much can that cost? 200, 300 francs ? That's a high estimate and would still be 0.5% of the asking price. The profit margins of these top brands that mastered industial production is super high.
Teddy, how do you feel about the Mido TV big date? I know it is a 40mm but perhaps it may wear slightly larger? Seems like a much more attainable squarebody watch? Any thoughts?
I was hoping Teddy had Sinn as trying to order one from them seems more complicated than it has to be, do they even show prices on their site, I can't see?
honestly for the prospex speedtimer, I prefer the 39.5mm version simply because of the colourways. The 41 are not as muted compared to the smaller version and that kinda ruins the vibe - looks more like the cheaper watches you get under 100 bucks and also no black PVD version which I am a sucker for
There really well made the fit and finish on them is fantastic only downside is the clasp no on the fly adjustment but they have just released a new diver and GMT with an updated clasp to fix that problem and am sure they will start adding the new clasp to all there new releases
Totally agree that the Rolex Date Just with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet is the best combo! My favorite would be the white Roman, now if I can just find one! Great job on this video loved the content!
Is it so much to ask for the $340 Orient Mako 3 to have a milled clasp and solid end links? San Martin can do it for half that price. This is the main reason I sold my Mako 2. Dont get me wrong, it's a great looking watch, just not worth the money unless you go grey market
Excellent list overall, the only thing I outright disagree with you about is that the Nautilus is a dress watch: no way, it's an everyday watch I would say and a lot of people would even call it a sports watch.
The 300 is still such a sleeper. I don’t get why it’s not more popular. You can pick them up brand new with a validated warranty card for around 4k usd on the grey market. Such a great value.
At long last, the Omega DeVille gets a mention. Meanwhile, the Omega Constellation 41mm continues to be ignored here. It is the best selling model range at Omega but only the niche (within Omega) Globemaster range is mentioned like it is the more popular watch. Disappointing.
I'd say imagine doing the Bel Canto and not actually saying what the complication was. But you don't have to imagine because that's what you did here. For those wondering it's an hour repeater. Not to be confused with a quarter or minute repeater.
SEIKO ruining their perfect face with that power reserve indicator reminds me of PEUGEOT ruining their entire line up by placing the steering wheel so low it obscures the dash board. Because industrial design does not work by committee.

The omega seamaster 300 is fantastic, it manages to be elegant but also low key and understated.
I love mine, and it gets the most wrist time by far
Agreed, I strongly prefer it to the Diver 300. I hate that they killed the titanium version.
It's my everyday watch and is fantastic!
Love mine too! I’ve got it in the 9k gold.

Lug length is what counts
Agree
That’s what she said?
If two watches are at 39 and 42 mm each but only 0.6 mm difference in lug length, will they wear the same?
@@Moon_in_Flames pretty damn close. Hamilton Khakis wear huge compared to their case size because their lugs are so long.
@@aaronmonheim6428I see, thanks

100%! lug-to-lug is what makes a 41mm watch "feel" like a 43, or a 39! you take the IWC pilot chrono 41, and it has a 52mm L2L... that's huge!
Well, 41 to 42 is the sweet spot for my 7"1/2 wrist, so thank you Teddy for giving me some ideas! Very much tending towards rectangular shapes again though, so I'd say 30 to 35 mm is my sweet spot there. Cheers!

Hey Teddy! Can't wait to see your next rendition of this series but for bigger watches in the 43-44mm case sizes! Thanks!
Seamaster 300 heritage with the black dial is perfect.
Feel like the Christopher Ward Aquitaine should have been on here, gorgeous watch especially the bronze COSC models.
Teddy. For a self stated 'light touch' approach you are cramming in a massive amount of detail about each watch. Brilliant stuff as always.😁
Teddy I would make a lug to lug dependent videos as opposed to case diameter.... :)
Agree
I think you could include the Longines Big Eye here. 41mm with a phenomenal movement and overall exceptional dial.
The Hamilton Jazzmaster Maestro Automatic Chronometer is worth a mention, IMO.
after wearing a lot of 46-48mm watches, it's taking me awhile to get used to wearing a 41mm watch, but I like them now.
Lug-to-Lug is more important than case size any day.
My Seiko Turtle bros will agree.
Agree
Such great looking watches in this segment!! But my oh my, that GS Snowflake is IT!! Such elegance and beauty...
The Grand Seiko is really fantastic!
Tudor Black Bay, your info said 15mm thick. It’s 13.6.

A quartz version would be a great follow-up .
I am glad to discover new beautiful watches in all your videos . Your comments are priceless. Thank you so much.
GP Laureato 225 anniversary LE is 41 mm

A rare bird that not many know about. It is the father to all the 42 mm current production laureato.
Great job Teddy!! Way to put together a great group of watches.
What was I lucky enough to win?
What I love about the SM300 is that the bezel is thin and offers more dial. The "sandwhich" design is also really nice.
I love the Aqua Terra, But the small Second model I prefer a bit more, The Snowflake also Is beautiful. Breitling B01 with that Mint Green Dial is Stunning as is the IWC Chrono. thank you Teddy once again for a great Video. Enjoyed it very much.

My BB 41s (2 with one more arriving in a few days) are my obviously my favorites. 41-43mm are my sweet spots on my 8+ inch wrist. Great video!
My everyday is a Tudor 1926. The most underrated watch ever!
mine too. i love it.
Do you have a separate content of best white dial watches from attainable to luxury? I find it hard to search if there's any.
Great video. My dream watch is Longines Conquest with blue dial . Just beautiful watch. Also love dive watches from Seiko and Orient.
The Navitimer at 41mm is awesome but the only problem is the dial colors in that size.. hope they release the original black dial at 41mm or even better a re- release of the 806 with the twin jets logo.
I have the older 42mm black dial Navitimer - the best one IMO.
The Deville range is totally underated because you got two lineups the prestige with thin automatic models then the tressor with the handwound movement
That seamaster and green Navi 😍

Teddy, thank you for making a video for big guys. The 41mm is the perfect sweet spot for us!
7 inch wrists are not big. I have an 8.25" wrist.
Is there a term to describe the ability to adjust the hour/timezone of a watch while it's still running like in the Omega Seamaster 300 Heritage?

The seiko ssc 911 looks really cool
I'm thinking about getting an Omega Seamster Apnea. 41,5mm diameter, 49mm Lug to Lug. 16mm thick. My wrist size is 6,25in. Could I pull this off?
Teddy, what is you opinion on Swatch and Omega teaming up to create the planet watches.
What’s your thoughts on Gevril watches ? I think they are worth mentioning in my opinion they are a great bang for the buck
Thanks for the feature!
A fantastic overview. Thank you Teddy!
Definitely the omega aqua terra or IWC Mark xviii or Longines Spirit Green Edition (42 mm 😬) kind of crossing the 41 mm
