- This is a video showcasing the goldfish that are swimming in the tank behind me when I'm up on live streams. They are fancy comets & shubunkins. I am a huge fan of single tail goldfish! I hope that you'll become one too!!

I love Koi and Golfish and I had not been online to look at any for a long time. I saw some Oranda at my pet shop and remembered Shubin. I did a search and to my delight you came up. I am subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your videos. Your collection is beautiful. We travel a lot but when we finally settle in one place I will definately install a pond and I want to raise a few different types of fish again. A couple that I really love but are very different. Angel fish, Discus, Shubunkin Andersen long, full tailed Siamese Fighting fish. Thanks for sharing. All of your tanks are so beautifully decorated and they are so clean.

@@colourcrayon not yet. So far it's mainly orange and whites atm. Sarassa shouldn't be far off tho. They are starting to show signs of breeding but early stages

I hope you breed some of those great fish. I plan on selling most of my fry off but am keeping 9 or 10 for my shubunkin grow out pond to see if I can add a few more to the brood stock..

Great videos Joey. I am learning a lot from you. I would like to give some of those beauties a home in my 1800 gallon pond in Louisiana. Would Shibunkins do the best or would the fancy Comets do equally well. Please keep the videos coming.

Hey, lovely fish! How can you tell the difference between coloured comets and Shubunkins? The red, black and white comet male at 7:20 looks like a Shubunkin?
I bought that specific fish from a dealer and he imported him. He was sold as a comet. I have to say unless you buy from someone who has a specific breeding program you might never really know. In general shubunkins are calico with metallic and non metallic scales. Thanks for stopping by.😃👍🎏💚

Can we keep anubias plant with goldfish?
They will eat plants... Right?
I do keep the larger variety Anubias with some of my goldfish. In general they do eat plants, so you have to keep plant varieties that are tough. Personally I don’t worry about plants and I’m able to keep the fish healthy without them. If you really want them though you might try some of the larger swords. The stems and leaves are pretty tough. Good luck with your fish and plants.😃🎏🦩

Good afternoon I have a beautiful female double tail shubunkin around 4 years old and 9 cm long in a 100 litres tank with 4 corydoras albinos who themselves are around 2 years old. They are all happy even at night when they cuddle up under the filter... How old my big Mama can live to? Thanks

Those are midnight shubunkins. I had two ponds of them get wiped out last year by raccoons or mink. Several generations worth.

Hi Kelly, my feeling is you can start with a smaller tank. You may find it requires a little more maintenance and then upgrade when needed.😃 I hope you can get some shubunkins. 🎏 Btw this is a 75 gal tank.

I always thought shibunkins were just fancy comets (long tails). How do you tell the difference?

I don’t have any experience personally with keeping them in a pond. My understanding is they can grow upwards to 12-14 inches. Have fun with your fish!!😃🎏🦩
