Honda CB1100 EX exhaust acceleration sound, WITHOUT background music

- When I was considering to buy the CB1100, it proved difficult to find videos that give a good impression of the engine & exhaust sound, without music in the background. I also was curious what the storage space under the seat looked like. So now that I have mine, here is a short video featuring exactly those things. Hope it helps others in their decision.
The bike is completely standard - only option is the Honda U-Lock that fits under the seat. - Авто та транспорт
finally a video without background music
I am 74 years old and have just bought one of these bikes, and i love it. It is so easy to ride, and very comfortable
Thank you! The sound is just pure goodness and brings back great memories. Thanks for not adding useless intros, outros, annotations, pop-ups, background b.s. or blabbering.
You´re very welcome, thanks for the comment!
I agree with Robert, thanks for not adding a bunch of nonsense.
Best briefing video, I ever seen. No background music, no bla-bla, only info.
Man, you are genius!
Forget all those futuristic bike review that fill youtube, this has to be the best review I have ever seen, hand down. To-the-point, addresses the concerns I have as a potential buyer (engine sound, storage, wish there was something about sitting position though), does not have phony background music, etc. Good job.
Thanks, glad it was of use! I wish I could tell you something intelligent about the sitting position, but this is only the second bike I ever owned, so I don't have a lot to compare it with. All I can say is that for me (but I'm pretty short: 1,74 m) it's very comfortable.
agreed!
My view on the seating position....
I drove two states away to purchase the bike and rode it home that day. Just under 300 miles. Never got sore through the shoulders and neck or the lower back due to your feet being underneath you. Very upright position. I'm 5'7" and cant flat foot the bike at a stop but am very comfortable in spite of that.
Thank you for cutting out the background music. I usually come to see and HEAR the incredible sound of the engine. Background music spoils everything. Thumbs up to you, bro.
Best review imaginable. Thank You for showing us 'what is important about the machine', without some 'narcissistic-popstar nonsense effects and blabbering' in between trillion times. Best to You. Do more!
Thank you! Great to hear you liked it.
What a beautiful piece of engineering
One of the single most useful and mildly entertaining videos I have seen for some time. Most motorcycle review videos always leave out one of the most key aspects: how does it sound? Think I’ll have to go buy one now! 😁
Great looking bike. Love that sound...drive by and revving...safe riding!
The sound of this bike reminds me so much of my Suzuki GS750 which came standard with a 4 into two exhaust system.
That engine is so beautiful, I have no idea why Honda would give it the blackout treatment. Beautiful sound, too. Nice bike.
Dude you have to post more, beautiful bike.
Beautiful motorbike, classic looks with modern technology.
Just picked up my cb1100 rs in red , haven't ridden it yet , waiting for springtime , good video 👌🏻
Exactly what I was trying to find. Stock exhaust CB1100 sound. Thank you very much.
They are relatively quiet but it lets you hear the motor working when you rev it out.
Nice video, good sound quality, simple and to the point! 👍
Beautiful bike. Love the white too.
Looks like a classy machine.
A thumb up for a beautyfull bike and brilliant presentation!
Nice video. Nice bike too. Thanks for your time and effort....
Beautiful style of presentation.
Great video, beautiful bike. I love the CB1100.
Engineering and design that only Honda can deliver 👏👏👏gettin me one soon
What a beautiful bike. Nice video
What a great bike and looks fantastic!
sooo beautiful .... !!!!!!!
love it so much
The Camera lens cover tossed in the under seat cubby was crack-up's !
I love the sound!! I plan on buying the 2017 cb1100 ex. I did not know there was a little under the seat storage!
I'm buying it, not because of the under the seat storage hahaha
One of the most iconic sound
what a beautiful look.love it.
I generally don't like retro bikes but this is just a beauty
Ohne nervige Musik, wie schön!
Without music, thank´s a lot, very rare these days! Somebody please kiss you for that. ;)
Kisses are not per se necessary, but I´m glad we share the same point of view ;-)
Good vid my man. Thanks. 👍🏻
Sounds much better in person than what is on this video. Not like a sewing machine at all. Quiet, but has a nice inline 4 growl. And don’t believe what the other reviews say about “Not Enough Power”. This bike is happy just cruising around town in 4th gear, but get that tach needle above 4000rpm and the CB1100 really starts to move. Not short on power EVER! Best motorcycle I’ve ever owned
Outstanding job on to the point video.
Thanks ;-)
I really wish to have one someday!
What a beatiful machine! It's a piece of art!
Agree, a bit on the hefty side and there are a couple of ponies missing for such a big beast. Yes I would like to have one too; a red one for me please
@@WolfgangVonKempelen838 Hey Pietro. 7 Months later I've bought a second hand RED CB1100 EX 2019. :)
@@coolstorybro9946 I am green of envy; in a good way ;) I am looking at a good second hand one as well, white, low mileage, decent price but I will have a hard time to convince the missus. Let me know what it is like to own and ride it + the average MPG please
@@coolstorybro9946 Thanks for that fella and safe riding
simple retro luk master piece bike. simple short sleek review. good
god that sounds so tame...
My 1982 carbureted CB750K sounds so much rougher and muscly. I wish there was a way to make these new injected CB1100s sound similarly...
Well done 👍
Beautiful
Awesome vid. Thanx.
It's an amazing bike! I have the same (also the same color) and it's really lovely!
Ján Miklas bonsoir monsieur !
J’apprécie votre moto! Voudriez vous me la vendre ?
Brilliant bike!
Just saw this,,,Beautiful Bike
one of the best movies on here about this bike. hard to find what it REALLY sounds like
Una moto genial, enhorabuena. A disfrutarla con salud
Gracias Alberto!
First of all I want to say thank you for not including so.e horrible intro music in your video
Good video...!!
THANK YOU!
Thank you
One of the most beautiful bike noises besides Ducati'd V-twin.
tres belle moto
Superb
Having trouble finding a twin pipe with bare metal (non blacked out) motor.
thank you
Honda!!so good
I can only dream of driving this haha!
bravo!
Excelent....
Awesome!
Nice bike
Thats a sweet bike...i want it...plsss....
Very nice bike,CB1100 can ride 30 years for more!
I noticed that when you did your first rev-up that the motorcycle appeared that it wasn't even running very impressive, had I tried that with my 850 Norton it would appear that there was an earthquake going on.
4 vs 2 cylinders, EURO4 vs nothing. Of course the CB 1100 is smoother und quieter. ;)
Thanks for leaving out background music! Is this the original sound without any modifications at the mufflers? Thanks!
Hi, yes, the bike is completely original. No modifications at all.
...dreamful motorbike .... fall in love 😍
Beautiful bike and nice, concise, precise review. Would you consider this one to be a good choice for a first time motorcycle buyer? Thanks for the video!
+3ndriago Hi, thanks for your comment. I think that if the price is no obstacle (because it´s definately not a cheap bike), then yes, it could be a great first motorcycle. It´s comfortable and very easy to ride, with a clutch, gearbox, and brakes that all work very smoothly. Same goes for the power build-up of the engine, so it´s easy enough to control. One big ball of smoothness. Just keep in mind that in its standard form it obviously offers no wind protection whatsoever and that the tiny space under the seat is the only luggage capacity. I myself use a Kriega R35 backpack when I need to take stuff with me; works great for me.
+Eric Crama Thanks for the insider comments, Eric. I really like the looks of the bike and every review I read about it points out its smoothness and reliability. I'm still on the fence about buying a bike at all because the city I leave in (Miami, Florida) has one of the highest accident rates in the country and the driving style is pretty aggressive, but if do go for it, the CB1100 ranks very high on my candidates list. Thanks again and please consider uploading more videos about the bike, cheers!
*Can't seem to find a 2017 or later CB1100 nowadays.*
Моя мечта!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
seymchan100 и моя!!!
Best ever
I was puzzled by the fact that Honda is not selling CB1100 or 1300 retro design products in the US and Canada market while Kawasaki is very successful in selling its very popular Z900RS similar retro design bike.
What exhaust do you use? Is it stock or aftermarket? This bike is an absolute beast💪🏼👍🏻👍🏻
Hi, the exhaust is the stock one.
That bike needs a 4 into 1 Kirker chrome pipe opened exhaust. Outstanding sound. Nice Honda. CB 1100s are damn nice al round machines.
Hi Craig. I considered the Pipemasters 4 into 4 for a while (I´m a bit more into the classic look), but here in Spain that would mean having to remove them and reinstall the original exhaust and vice versa every two years in order to pass the vehicle check. And I´m just not ready for that...
@@ericcrama2221 Peace of cake. I've done that in 30 minutes on Hondas & Kawasakis back in the day. There is a baffle that can be installed too if needed. I ran them on my Honda 750SS & 900 Z1. I understand your position on the matter. Best wishes. Been right at 50 years since I've been to Spain. Was Cool back then.
@@craigpennington1251 Damn, you had a Kawasaki Z1? That´s an absolute dream bike. Wonderful. Greetings back.
Wow that thing hauls...
I thought the same thing. Apparently its milder after like 70 but shiiiiiit for a bike to commute with it looks like a monster.
love it... except for the storage
a honda e muito foda era pra trazer essa moto pra o brasil com um preço de uns 40 mil
I wish mine has the 4 to 2 exhausts, mines 4 to 1
ㅆㅂ 죽이네요~ good!!
How can i get this in pakistan ?
Damn I could hear that transmission click from down the street!
XT Anon .....It only does it from first to second gear.
@@dad5650 Is that normal?
Oh that gear changing sound tho..
When it's new, it's very quiet, but it gets throatier after several thousand miles! The induction sound drowns out the exhaust sound when you open it up.
Oh , hope youre right , i want to pimp the original Muffler by a long Nail 🤔
Very nice! Epic bike. I would modify it little bit like loose the huge indicators, rear stop light and mirrors. change the seat, make little bit louder exhaust. Epic bike
I would have this bike just to go to church, seriously.
Not sure why you did the third gear drive by. If you want a loud tire ripper look else where. This ones for nice folks.
You are gearbox killer !
Haha :-) Everything for a nice video.
Eric Crama In that case one more like !
👍
Did you solve the problem with loud clank sound when changing gears? I have the same problem on my CBR 900RR
Hi Dusan. Yeah, the sometimes loud shift from 1st to 2nd worried me as well (in the video the shifts to 3rd and 4th sound worse than they really are). I asked the Honda dealer about it, but after a test ride they assured me there is absolutely nothing wrong with the gear box, so I just assume it´s normal...
@@ericcrama2221 And on my CBR a loud clunk is heard in the first two gears (sometimes in the third). The gearbox is precise and unmistakable (perhaps the most accurate I’ve tried), but it’s very noisy when changing which bothers me a lot. Before the Honda I had a Suzuki Bandit 600 and I had a silent transmission. I’ve noticed on forums that many complain about the noise of Honda gearboxes, but no one finds a solution. If I don’t find a problem or if it’s the usual sound of Honda gearboxes, I’ll probably sell my 900rr. That sound makes me very nervous.
@@dusanmilicevic2591 I can totally imagine that bothers you. I have learned to live with it, but like I said, on mine it happens only between first and second. Sorry I can´t help, good luck!
Мот просто супер!
Yes, it has the correct sound but anything claiming 2B retrot of the 70's Honda "Four" Series would have four chrome pipes on the sides, not two. Wouldn't that be correct? This is where Honda let us down.
djeez, weighs a ton and costs a lot. If you want that look, there is a perfect aftermarket kit from Wyvern available. On all other accounts it IS the perfect '70 Honda Four retro!!
did any one notice the shift sound..
The cat killed the sound. Sounds like a parallel twin
So how is it after all that time
I totally love it. It´s a (in my opinion) beautiful bike, very well built, very pleasant to ride. Must admit that now and then I would like a little bit more noise, but then again, the clean sound it makes is also very enjoyable.
I don't get why so many modern bikes don't have a hinged seat. Lovely bike though, on my 'to get one list'.....
so sexy sound!!
2014 model?
A bit more recent, I bought it new in June 2015.
Thanks for the video. I watched a lot of CB 1100 review none of them show the under seat compartment you are the first one who show them. Does the U-lock come with the bike?
+ous216 You are very welcome. No, the U-lock is an extra, although I convinced the dealer to include one for free when I ordered the bike. I suggest you try the same ;-) Cheers.
Where's the rice?
no F1 sound? what ?
