Nailboo is where I started so I have a lot of love for them! They just recently put the stoppers in the bottles, I sent them an email about it hoping they will stop it!!! The nailboo community needs to do this as well. In the meantime you can remove the stoppers and it works great, I love the liquids from nailboo so I found a way around it. Thank you for doing a demo on their products!!

I bought a lot of Nailboo products and I was very unhappy with the glue for the tips. It was like rubber cement and it was so thick it couldn't be used and I tried to get it to work. I'm not sure if I just got a bad bottle or something. I think they've improved the tight bottle opening though and I was satisfied with my other products from them. I'm still relatively new to dip nails and I've watched tons of your videos that have helped me so much. Thank you for sharing all of your experience with us.

Thank you for this! I use NailBoo and while I love their powders I don’t like the brushes that come in the liquids. I had the same problem with the base like you did. NailBoo is aware of this and they are working on new liquids that are due to come out at the beginning of next year. I switched my liquids to Double Dip and haven’t had an issue since. Even when the new ones come out I probably won’t switch back.
Hi, I just got a Nailboo kit, and the base and top coats are stuck in the bottle. I wish I would have seen these videos before I bought. What base and top coat do you use? This was the first time I am trying any of this, and I can’t even do it after spending all of that time prepping, etc. 😞 TIA

Great review!! You crushed it for me. I like the gel base coats and I have mixed products with great success. Never tried dip powders. One thing I don't recommend is taking polish from home to the salon if you don't want surprises. Mother of the groom here was going to do her own nails and the wedding party wanted me to join them at the salon. Glad I did because they didn't have the color. Luckily my polish job was what I hoped for the wedding. A few days later they started doing this ombre thing. It looked like a custom airbrush job. I enjoyed it. The warning here, Salon products can be different than those sold for consumers
I'm a black nail girl and I really wanted to see an up close pic of the specks you mentioned ☹️ Also, I've found not all clears are the same... The huge tub o saviland clear I got is poop... It dries with specks and yellowish. So I'm on the hunt for an awesome clear and black. Nailboo has Paris Hilton as a spokes person and I just can't. 🖤

I was told you use the clear build powder on your natural nail before adding the color. It bothered me she talked about it negatively after using in improperly. Follow the directions people. The only thing I disliked was the smell of the top coat. But they're all smelly pretty much.

As for the liquids different strokes for different folks. Glad you like it though. And MK has enough knowledge on how to use them, I think it was just her preference to use it the way she did. I appreciate it though, for those of us that use them differently, it was nice to see from someone with more experience. :)

OMG!! I am so glad I came across your page… I’m new to using nailboo and I had to soak off what I put on my left hand nails. I got mail bad everywhere because it kept sticking. I am so disappointed. I wanted to know if I could use another brand base nail coating with my nailboo dip powder. You made my day this tutorial was just what I needed to see. I have all these beautiful dip powder colors and have yet to use them because of the base coat bottle kept sticking and the handle ended up popping off.
I also thought all clear dips were the same, but I have since learned that's no true. I normally use clear from revel and love that one. I then tried the clear from Rossi, and that one leaves cloudiness and white speckles behind ( and yes, I scrubbed!). So guess they are not the same.
I have the same exact problem with the Nailboo Base polish bottle! After just a few uses, I chucked it out. However, I really love Nailboo's dips, especially the sparkle ones! I already placed an additional order for more colors.

Yes. And no lol. If you’re planning on filing off your color, the build is perfect for under color! But I prefer to use it for encapsulate because I usually either soak off or use peel base so I don’t “need” to use the build/clear.

I love the base from nail boo, your brush must be a defective brush. I’d call customer service and ask for a replacement as it’s not normal & would annoy the heck out of me! Lol I have a love for many brands but just wanted to say I do enjoy their base & powders.
I have my own (bad) experience with Nailboo. They were the first dip system I ever tried. And boy did I try. I spent a long time thinking it was me and dips were just for professionals. Until a friend talked me into trying a different brand. I'm sure my inexperience was partly to blame. Maybe if I tried again, it would be better since I have a little bit of experience now. But the next brand I used was SO much better. I should have known better when there is nothing but 5 stars reviews on their website, and mainly bad on Amazon. Never trust a company that has ALL great reviews. Even the best companies have at least a few negative comments. And if they don't, they're being deleted. On a positive note....the stopper can be removed from the bottle....

These must be new bottles, I have two sets of the liquids and other than major dip flu with them, I did not have the issue with the brush. These bottles were from June/July so I wonder if the changes. That would be super frustrating!,

Yes, I only use the “builder” (clear dip) over the color. You can certainly use it as a foundation but I’ve never found it necessary especially if I’m wearing extensions over my natural nails 💞

I just tried my nailbio kit today, I followed up all the step described in the box and su did not get good results. I saw you did not use the build powder. I will try again using your review and steps and hopefully I will get better results.
Great video. Came across by accident. Could you recap which base and top coat you are using. (activator too). I like the nailboo colors of dips but I have no patience for the bottles. Especially since I am not a "do it yourself" nail person. I have had mine done for 35+ years and I want to give it a go with doing my own. Lol I too remember the DIY acrylic kits!! So the “base” powder is a clear. You can use that as a base or as an encapsulation layer or both! I find that using it under the color can create extra thickness to the nail so I prefer to just use it on top to protect the color when I file and buff later, but it’s 100% personal preference! I agree with the brush not fitting in the bottle too. I even spilled half of my bottle the first time I tried to use it. So already lost half of my bottle. Ugh
Thanks for doing the the video, I’ve been looking into buying Nailboo but not sure yet. I do have a few questions if you don’t mind answering. Do the base/top coat have really strong scents ? Have you come across the issue of the dip powder cracking not necessarily chipping but cracking? Also, how long do they last on you usually? One last thing have you tried Rossi nails, that’s the dipping powder system I currently have but I’m having some issues with the nails cracking after day 3 or so. Thank you so much in advance!!!!
Hey love! So, everyone reacts differently to the dip liquid odor. I didn’t find nailboo liquids to be very strong but that doesn’t mean you won’t. Compared to Rossi, these are extremely mild (Rossi liquids gave me a horrible headache). Chipping or cracking is usually caused by thin product application. As long as you have enough strength on your nails (in this case, thickness) you shouldn’t have an issue. Lasting power with dip, like any nail enhancement, will depend on your prep and lifestyle and not necessarily the products. With proper prep (and how rough you are on your nails) you can get up to 3 weeks of wear!
Dip behaves a lot differently than standard nail polish or gel polish - when i used gel in past years, it would lift / peel some over time when it was time to re-do. Dip behaves more like an acrylic in the sense that it will crack / break more than likely vs chipping / lifting.
I have been waiting to see if anybody else had the same problems with the brushes not fitting through the neck of the bottles like I do.I wondered if it was just me struggling or if I was doing it wrong or something. It is so frustrating and causes me to jack up my nails trying to get the brushes out. Why did they design their brushes to not go and out of the bottles smoothly? For the price they charge, they should have done better. grrrrrrr

Could be chipping for a lot of reasons from how thin the nails are to the shape of the nail. Could you tell me more about your process and nail shape/length?
I've used so many dip powders, but I feel like the nailboo dips have more staying power. But... that top coat doesn't play well with other dip powders.
You definitely can. I choose not to because I prefer a more natural looking nail - if I use the clear first, it gets too bulky on me. Total personal preference 💞

You def don’t! You only need to cure if you use a gel base to apply dip like I did on some of the nails. Usually, the activator that comes with the dip liquid set “cures” the dip and base.
It’s an option. Clear under color can protect your nail from staining but I’ve never found that necessary. I prefer to clear over color to protect the pigment while filing ❤️
Can you do a video on how to keep dip nails thin and keep the shape? My nails are always getting thick and I have to file so much to return to my fav coffin shape. 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
They basically break it into 3 parts.. for the coats .. working your way up to the cuticle. The first layer you put the gel starting at the nail half mark down to the free edge. Dip . The second layer go a little higher up but not to the cuticle . Dip. For third layer start at the cuticle all the way down to the free edge and dip. This prevents thick nails and thick cuticle . Also if you do the pour method instead of the dip it’s supposed to help
It totally depends on your nail prep and lifestyle, but I can get about 3 weeks wear.. although I’d recommend a new set every 2-3 weeks depending on your natural rate of growth

I'm trying harder to be "better groomed" and that includes having nice and not chipped nails. But I'm cheap and hate the thought of spending all that money at a salon. So I think I'll try the nailboo dip stuff first. Next step, figure out how to do my makeup properly 🤦♀️
I was like okay with that price right up until I saw the issue with that base and top coat that would have drive me crazy. I actually dip my raw glitter like that as well. Just added that glitter pack to my Amazon cart love the different colors option

I just order a set and my bottle was fine brush went in and out prefect made sure I checked as soon as I got them

Nailboo was my very first kit. I didn’t experience that issue with the brush and base bottle.

Switch out your brush for the cleaner brush that's what it is made for so you can have a clean brush every time

Yep! I cured the gel after applying the glitter. If you don’t like that texture, you can absolutely apply top coat over it to moth it out!

Especially since I am not a "do it yourself" nail person. I have had mine done for 35+ years and I want to give it a go with doing my own. As far as liquids go, I believe I used mani Boss dip liquids as a control group.
What did you use for the length? Are they just glued on with normal nail glue did you glue them on the end like normal acrylics? Thanks for the video ❤️

Why did you apply the base powder over the color instead of as the base?? Just wondering- never used dip or gel or done my mail myself since the early 90’s using the Sally Henson acrylic kit in high school… not that I’ve dated myself lol I just ordered the nailboo kit tonight so I am trying to figure it out before it comes. Lol I too remember the DIY acrylic kits!! So the “base” powder is a clear. You can use that as a base or as an encapsulation layer or both! I find that using it under the color can create extra thickness to the nail so I prefer to just use it on top to protect the color when I file and buff later, but it’s 100% personal preference!

I agree with the brush not fitting in the bottle too. I even spilled half of my bottle the first time I tried to use it. So already lost half of my bottle. Ugh

When you used the gel top coat, do you have to use the uv light?
Yes. Gel requires a UV/LED lamp to cure/dry

Thanks for doing the the video, I’ve been looking into buying Nailboo but not sure yet. I do have a few questions if you don’t mind answering. Do the base/top coat have really strong scents ? Have you come across the issue of the dip powder cracking not necessarily chipping but cracking? Also, how long do they last on you usually? One last thing have you tried Rossi nails, that’s the dipping powder system I currently have but I’m having some issues with the nails cracking after day 3 or so. Thank you so much in advance!!!!
Hey love! So, everyone reacts differently to the dip liquid odor. I didn’t find nailboo liquids to be very strong but that doesn’t mean you won’t. Compared to Rossi, these are extremely mild (Rossi liquids gave me a horrible headache).
Chipping or cracking is usually caused by thin product application. As long as you have enough strength on your nails (in this case, thickness) you shouldn’t have an issue.
Lasting power with dip, like any nail enhancement, will depend on your prep and lifestyle and not necessarily the products. With proper prep (and how rough you are on your nails) you can get up to 3 weeks of wear!
Dip behaves a lot differently than standard nail polish or gel polish - when i used gel in past years, it would lift / peel some over time when it was time to re-do. Dip behaves more like an acrylic in the sense that it will crack / break more than likely vs chipping / lifting.

Yes I has the same issue with the bottle and applicators not fitting in the bottle. I sent nailboo an email they sent me another bottle

You can use a drill.. or you can use a file to remove the top coat and then soak in acetone!

Longevity is really more dependent on how you prep! With the right prep, you can get at least 2-3 weeks of wear!
Maybe a fluke with the bottles, mine are working fine. If you contact them I’m sure they would replace it.

I have been waiting to see if anybody else had the same problems with the brushes not fitting through the neck of the bottles like I do.I wondered if it was just me struggling or if I was doing it wrong or something. It is so frustrating and causes me to jack up my nails trying to get the brushes out. Why did they design their brushes to not go and out of the bottles smoothly? For the price they charge, they should have done better. grrrrrrr

I started with nailboo. I loved it but they got very big very quick and their quality control is lacking big time. It sucks. I wish they cared.

Could be chipping for a lot of reasons from how thin the nails are to the shape of the nail. Could you tell me more about your process and nail shape/length?
I've used so many dip powders, but I feel like the nailboo dips have more staying power. But... that top coat doesn't play well with other dip powders.

Can you pull the stopper out of the base bottle and possibly put another bottles stopper inside or is it the brush?
Not sure.. but even if I could.. for that price point it wouldn’t be worth it to me. But that’s just a personal opinion.

You definitely can. I choose not to because I prefer a more natural looking nail - if I use the clear first, it gets too bulky on me. Total personal preference 💞

On nail boo website it says you don't have to cure them you don't need uv do you suggest it? If so when do you do if
You def don’t! You only need to cure if you use a gel base to apply dip like I did on some of the nails. Usually, the activator that comes with the dip liquid set “cures” the dip and base.
Did the other products you used require a UV light?
Only the one nail I did with the gel base (and the top coat) All the others don’t require a lamp at all!

Arent u suppose to use the clear one first then the color?
It’s an option. Clear under color can protect your nail from staining but I’ve never found that necessary. I prefer to clear over color to protect the pigment while filing ❤️

They basically break it into 3 parts.. for the coats .. working your way up to the cuticle. The first layer you put the gel starting at the nail half mark down to the free edge. Dip . The second layer go a little higher up but not to the cuticle . Dip. For third layer start at the cuticle all the way down to the free edge and dip. This prevents thick nails and thick cuticle . Also if you do the pour method instead of the dip it’s supposed to help
How long does the nailboo last on?
It totally depends on your nail prep and lifestyle, but I can get about 3 weeks wear.. although I’d recommend a new set every 2-3 weeks depending on your natural rate of growth

The nailboo glue top was awful! Had to throw it. The brush doesn't fit the bottle.
I'm trying harder to be "better groomed" and that includes having nice and not chipped nails. But I'm cheap and hate the thought of spending all that money at a salon. So I think I'll try the nailboo dip stuff first. Next step, figure out how to do my makeup properly 🤦♀️
