The beginning is my favorite part. War Pigs & Move Bitch are a combination that nobody would ever think would go so well together. This guy has a mind that I can't comprehend. He uses almost every style of music in just this album. I'm not a big fan or rap, but mixed with some rock it's pretty sweet.
I remember hearing Girl Talk for the first time from my English professor who integrated Girl Talk in our paper/debate about copyrights and the future of music sharing. This was early 2010 before Limewire was shutdown. Left the class with a pretty bad grade but really left an impression. Great class, Great DJ/Mixmaster, Great professor.
Good story! I can tell you like to look at the positive aspects of life. I myself am much the same; it's a good philosophy and outlook on life to have.
First time I ever heard a mashup and enjoyed it.. then realized how damn good it is and the amount of effort and creativity it would take to even make this work. That must have been 10 years ago. Still one of the best mashup albums I've ever heard in my life. 11-8-2022 _Cream on the inside, clean on the outside_
This mashup has utterly ruined War Pigs for me. Now whenever I hear the actual song I get messed when there isn't an "OH NO THE FIGHT'S OUT" after the verse.
I agree, absolutely the most masterful 20 seconds of the track. I just want him to draw that out to a 4 minute track in itself. Dirty south over disco is just so good. You might want to check out the old Hollertronix mixtape Never Scared; some equally masterful moments, such as David Banner over The Eurythmics: ua-cam.com/video/bm5akJsNATg/v-deo.html
(3/5) Next, after a bit of MIA's "Paper Planes" and a drum riff from Jimmy Smith's "I'm Gonna Love You Just A Little Bit More Babe", we go into a mashup of Dorrough's "Ice Cream Paint Job" and "Strawberry Letter 23" by The Brothers Johnson.
My friend recommended this album to me but didn't know the playlist was on UA-cam so he went all out to download the songs and send them to me.... Where I could literally find it with a Google search

(4/5) At 4:10, we get a beat from J-Kwon's "Tipsy '09" with vocals from The Ramones' "Blitzkrieg Bop", and at 4:18 some guitar chords from The Doors' "Waiting For the Sun" come in, along with some background beat elements from Aaliyah's "Try Again". The "Tick tock you don't stop" is from "La Di Da Di" by Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh.

Ive been jamming to this for a decade. Wow
it's not "blasphemous".. it's having a respect for all forms of music and an insanely genius way of mixing them all up..
Just wish GT would do a new album in the same style. Always looking and hopeful.
This is just amazing. Greg's like 20 years ahead of his time.
More like 100.
The strawberry letter 23/ice cream paint job kills me every time.
Purely perfection
MAAAAN. This shit is beautiful. Some people don't get his mixes at first, but then they get hooked.
Yes War Pigs, and blitzkerig Bop are like classics but the mixing is just phenomenal.
2024 BABY STILL E. AND STILL NOTHING LIKE IT
combining the hi-hat and beat from empire state of mind with war pigs is what makes the whole intro work. really sets the tone for the album

@@renz1805 Same! :)
I don't really like rap, but I like how this all comes together. The classic rock backing just makes it super heavy.
Best ever driving music.
Wouldn't it be ironic if Girl Talk sued the uploader of this video for copyright infringement?
No. It wouldn't.
I mean, this album was available for free on his website
I'm honestly not a big fan of Girl Talk, but there's something about this track that's made me listen to it about 100 times.
Just saw this guy in concert. Was so awesome!!
i love this track. it's awesome how this album starts with war pigs and ends with imaging
is it just me or do rap and rock go really well together
Rap goes with everything look up biggie and frank Sinatra mix, then the biggie and James brown
These concerts would melt your face
Why is this still so good?
Now this is the work of a "beautiful mind" I can really appreciate.
Ludacris is performing at Summerfest as is Girl Talk, wonder if Luda will say anything about this
about 6 years late on this but o shit waddup

Just in time for all of the early listeners to get back into it.
Even if I didn't want to like this, I don't think I'd have much choice.

WHY is this not on spoitfy? Its always been my favorite
maybe because of all the copyright this infringes
Because you can't put stuff on Spotify to earn (very little) money from it, if you don't have any licenses for the songs you sampled :P
Ciara Kelly I KNOW RIGHT
